experience. Everything you need to stay informed, in one 
quiet, private place.


DAILY JOURNAL

Log bowel movements, symptoms, stress, sleep, meals, water 
intake, medications, and activity in under two minutes.

Use the app without an account — your data stays on your 
device. Optionally sign in to back up your journal and 
access it across devices.

Pattern Analysis shows how your logged entries correlate 
over time so you can spot your own trends, not someone 
else's averages.


PUBMED HIGHLIGHTS

Search any UC topic — mesalamine, Entyvio, stress 
triggers, diet — and get a plain-language summary drawn 
from peer-reviewed studies in our 13,672-article PubMed 
index.

Every finding is sourced. Every percentage links back to 
its PMID. You see where the information comes from, 
always.


COMMUNITY TRENDS

See what 15,600+ people in the UC community report about 
symptoms, foods, and treatments. Aggregated trends from 
real discussions, not curated marketing copy.

Community discussions are surfaced directly from 
r/UlcerativeColitis so you can read the full context 
behind every data point.

A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER

I built UCInsights because I wanted one place to track 
my own symptoms, search the actual research, and see 
what the community was saying — without switching between 
five apps and three browser tabs.

This is a journal and reference tool. It does not 
diagnose or advise. For medical decisions, always consult 
your gastroenterologist.

News ticker now rotates every 6 seconds (was 2)
News screen subtitle updated to show the real source names
Translation (Turkish)
News titles auto-translate to Turkish via Google Translate when Turkish is selected
Clicking a news article in Turkish opens it through Google Translate's full-page renderer
Community discussion titles and previews auto-translate to Turkish (in search results, symptom detail, food detail, medication detail)
News ticker and full news screen now reload and translate automatically when the user switches language mid-session
Onboarding

New first-launch onboarding flow with 5 cards: language selection → research → tracker → community → notifications
Language selection is the first step, the rest of the flow renders in the chosen language immediately
Notification permission is requested only from the onboarding card, not on cold launch
Returning users skip onboarding entirely.
