Getting Started Uckers is a game for 2 or 4 players, played against a computer or online opponents. Each player uses tokens (or ‘bits’) in red and yellow or green and blue. Move your bits clockwise around the board to the final squares before your opponent. - Roll a 6 to move a bit out of the home squares. - Use the value of both dice to move your bits each turn. - Roll a 6 or a double to get an extra turn (settings dependent). Key Rules to Remember Rolling a 6 gives you another turn. A double roll also gives an extra turn if enabled. A double 6 does not grant 2 extra turns. If you can’t move with both dice, you must use the higher value if possible. If blocked, your turn ends. Hacking Off Land on a square with your opponent’s bit to send it back home. Blobbing Up Place two bits of the same color on one square (a ‘blob’) to block your opponent. A mixi-blob (two or more bits of different colors) can be hacked off by your opponent. Sixing-Off Move past a blob by landing behind it and rolling consecutive sixes (one more than the number of bits in the blob). Send your opponent’s bits home and move forward. Finishing Once your bits reach their coloured squares, they are safe from being hacked off (unless suck-backs are enabled). The first player to move all bits to the final square with exact rolls wins. Completing this before your opponent gets any bit around the board to the final square is an eight-piecing. The tournament rules are awful, where is the option for a blob to move backwards on a double or jump another blob on a double. The game tends to become stagnant. Update. Something seems off with the dice roll. Last 4 games I have had at best 1/3 the 6’s of my opponent. Playing the CPU is a farce. Miraculously alway gets the correct number needed to get you or the roll gives you the only miner that screws you over. ### 5/5 — Move time *2026-05-18, version 4.18.2* Is it possible to reduce the move time from 1min 30secs to a minute as a fast game is always a good game at least that’s what I was always told. Oh and by the way the game is great and has brought back many a good memory when playing in the Squadron crew room, especially on night shift when we weren’t up to our necks in aircraft fault rectification. Playing an opponent who timed out, it then took 1000 points from me! Started another game and the same opponent came up, it’s their turn and nothing is happening. Really need to sort out the amount of players running the time out to swerve being 8 pieced. Must be about 8 people now who just abandon the game to save their stats. Let me know how to post the screen shots of the players jumping ship. ### 2/5 — One more thing *2025-05-16, version 4.18.0* In addition to my recent review, the scoring mechanism is woeful, particularly for the ‘global league’. Use an ELO system like chess, so it isn’t just the people who play a lot and don’t quit or up-board end up top of the leaderboard with zero skill. People with hundreds of wins but a couple of 8-pieces should be put on a different scoring system altogether. I’ve been informed that the above is factually incorrect. The global system still rewards those who just slog out (and have the time for) loads and loads of games as all but their top 10 games get deleted. Whatever the scoring system is, it’s (in my opinion) rubbish and needs an overhaul. ### 5/5 — Addictive *2025-05-16, version 4.18.0* Probably better known to most as Ludo however any ex Navy person played this version which is particularly competitive I really like the Global league which is getting me into so much Afro with the wife for the amount of time I spend on it ### 5/5 — Make a Mistake…. *2025-04-12, version 4.17.1* I recently gave a “one star” review and complaint about being unable to undo moves. It turns out there is an “undo” function that I had totally not seen during gameplay…..my fault. So I’ve edited my scoring on this occasion to 5 stars. Thank you to the developers for pointing out my mistake. Keep up the good work with this game. Just a minor quibble but, for example, you throw a 2 and a 3, you should be able to move 2 then 3, or, 3 then 2, landing on a different square as the situation dictates. Which is incorrect. When I downloaded the app I was confronted with a screen asking to upgrade or start a free trial then pay per month afterwards. As a grumpy old man this made me more grumpy and I never noticed that I could close this screen down thus achieving access to the game.
