The app worked seamlessly! 4.5/5 stars. Would be a perfect 5 if the home values were updated to today’s market value. Home values are from 2020, which was an entirely different market than today (2026). Otherwise, great tour! ### 4/5 — Fun tour *2026-08-04* The map and audio features worked perfectly. The directions and count of the stops got mixed up after we made a wrong turn, but we were able to complete the tour using the directions on the map. ### 3/5 — I concur with the frustration level *2026-07-13* I was looking forward to a simple self-guided driving tour in NY. Sadly it took multiple starts and stops to complete our tour. The app skipped stops, stopped mid-location description, misinterpreted driving moves and basically took twice as long as advertised due to poor performance. We enjoy the content but not the experience. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2026-08-18* We bought the tour for Charlotte. It worked fine until we ran into construction and were unable to get to the 9th stop. When we went around the construction the stop and start feature did not work. We tried to skip it and start on 10, the audio worked for 10 and then not 11. We tried to start it again on stop 12 the map seemed to take us to the wrong spot. There was supposed to be an old cemetery but it wasn’t there. Continued to have trouble with the audio and map. We gave up after stop 14 and called it quits. Don’t waste your money, there are better apps out there. ### 1/5 — Unusable App - Avoid *2026-08-01* This app has promise but extraordinarily under delivers. It’s such a klunky interface, the GPS doesn’t work as one would anticipate, and you can’t move along the route at your own pace. To turn the GPS on you need to start at the beginning rather than being able to meet you where you are. The GPS tour is a fallacy. ### 1/5 — Skip it *2026-02-12* Tried to use this app for a walking tour. The UX is awful. Navigation is miserable. You can’t move the map to try to get to the starting place. And because the audio isn’t read by an actual human who knows the area or dialect, the pronunciation is laughable. It makes it genuinely difficult to even understand. I ended up liking VoiceMap MUCH better and bought several tours there that were awesome. ### 1/5 — Does Not Work *2024-10-14* I purchased the your. Told me to start by pressing the navigation button. None was marked. Could not get past zero! Waste of money! **Developer response:** We sincerely apologize that you were unable to take the tour. Don’t do it for Savannah *2026-05-31* Incredibly repetitive. Had to restart a dozen times to get it to work correctly also. Not new to these types of apps and this one is not my jam. They repeat facts on every stop and tell you to drive when she has a full min of info to share. Cut out the repeating narrative and it would work better. I requested a refund but looks like a no. Waste of money. ### 2/5 — Didn’t work as advertised *2026-05-24* Great idea in theory but NOT in execution. Could not see turn by turn directions on car screen, only phone. Kept taking us in circles instead of going to next stop and kept repeating same description. ### 2/5 — Good tours. Horrible app experience *2026-05-13* As others have mentioned, the tours are generally ok but using the app is pretty frustrating. ### 2/5 — Frustrating App *2025-10-25* Agree w other reviewers that note app is frustrating - while the narrative is good, the map function is dizzying (constantly spins!) and ability to pick up where you left off after a stop does not function well. ### 2/5 — Unfortunate choice of an app *2025-06-21* Downloaded Washington DC DuPont circle, intended to walk to start point, app design allows for drive directions only. Dissatisfaction. Connected to gps with difficulty, ended up with starting on location No3, 1 and 2 did not worked for us. Biggest disappointment was the content of narration. Very little history, that DC has in abundance, pointing to embassy flags and location that are very visible without an app. Stoppped using after 30 minutes. Maybe other tours are better, I wouldn’t know. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. To clarify, when the app detects that you're far from the starting point, it provides directions to help you get there—these are shown as driving directions by default but can absolutely be followed on foot. Once you arrive near the starting point, the app automatically switches to walking mode and begins the guided experience. We are local to Washington, DC, and take our tours very seriously. Our production team is currently reviewing this tour to ensure it meets the high standards we aim for in both navigation and narration. We also sincerely apologize for the GPS connectivity issues and the fact that your tour began at Stop 3 instead of Stop 1. Thank you again for your feedback—it truly helps us improve. —The UCPlaces Team ### 2/5 — Frustrating and mostly unhelpful *2024-10-22* We tried to use the app to take a “peaceful” driving tour through Sedona. The app failed to integrate to our car’s information center, but I won’t blame that on the app, since I’m not 100% sure. The directions were hard to follow. When we tried to restart the tour on a site other than the first one, she got wrapped around the axle and kept repeating the introduction multiple times. We ended up closing the app and giving up. Wish we could get our money back. The narrator’s voice was nice. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
