Unfortunately it only works with their app. ### 3/5 — Wifi-not Alexa *2017-06-17, version 1.3.2* I'm using this app with ORA smart wifi plugs. You have to snap a picture of the qr code included on the instructions that come with the plug. That will take you to the App Store for the correct app. Download-duh. Enter your cell number then it will send you a numeric code. Enter that and a new password. Attention!!! Only letters and numbers! No characters. I had to use a translator because the message I was getting was in Chinese. Be sure that the product is on detect-flashing blue-and proceed. I've installed 2 devices in my home so far. You can control the plugs for the app but I haven't figured out how to get Alexa to recognize them. That's the reason for 3 stars. If they can get this to Alexa I would increase to 4 stars. However when I went to connect it to Alexa I could not find a smart app. I found an email from the seller that indicated that you need to download the Tuya Smart for this functionality . Hope that helps other folks reading reviews. ### 3/5 — Buggy software *2016-07-28, version 1.0.3* The app works, but has issues. When I try to save a timer, the start time gets reset to 00:00 if I choose specific days. If no days are selected, the timer says "never" but the lights go on and off. So it works, but the software is clunky. There is no way for me to set different on/off times for the weekend, which is disappointing. In addition, the app has a function to send feedback, but it does not work, I have tried several times to report this bug, but always get an error message. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worthless *2020-10-25, version 1.3.4* Tried everything to connect smart outlets . I have tried over twenty times and several devices to get app to work. They don't work with the app or Alexa. It's all China made junk. The company HausBell has a German name but they are based in California and run a Chinese import business. The product instructions are poorly translated Chinese and this app still has Chinese characters in it. Getting them to work is tricky because the directions don't make sense. The worst part is this app doesn't even support the outlets that use it. You cannot create tasks in the app to turn on or off the HausBell outlets. Does not work. Had it with the Ora switch. ### 2/5 — No Longer works correctly *2022-10-25, version 1.3.4* I’ve had the switch for a couple of years and really enjoyed it. I was able to set a schedule successfully.I’m not certain what happened but now I am unable to modify the schedule.Whenever I attempt to it pops up it says upgrade now. when I tell it yes I then get a banner that says it’s no longer supported in my region. I emailed the owner as of now I have not heard from him or her. I would not recommend this Wi-Fi switch. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great operational app! *2020-05-06, version 1.3.4* I’ve been in the electrical trade for over fifty years, so I’m speaking from experience. The switches and outlets I control with this app make my life safer and more convenient. I can schedule lights to come on and turn off at any time of the day and day of the week. I can remotely turn lights on and off also whether I’m home or not. These features allow for having a secure home when I’m here and away and it’s quite easy to install and manage. PLEASE integrate Apple HomeKit into the software, it would make it way better! Also, having the ability to set a schedule for the week in regular time as opposed to military would be great. Siri needs to be able to interact with the switch, and a widget would be amazing instead of having to open the full app every time! ### 4/5 — Awesome until power goes out *2019-03-17, version 1.3.4* This works great until you have a power outage then all the devices go offline and you lose control. You have to have someone physically unplug everything to get a reset. The interface feels a little unrefined, but the app works as promised. Connection to controlled devices was quick and easy over home WiFi. The app allows users to set day-specific on/off times and multiple on/off times per day. Users can also set on-only or off-only times -- useful for making sure a plug powers off at a specified time if accidentally left on.
