## What is UDCast?

The UDCast app recognizes vocal information received through your device’s microphone, and displays captions and sign-language interpretation on your device’s screen. It can also output voice guidance through your device’s earphones.

Before using UDCast for the first time…

(1) At the top UDCast screen, select Test. Then go to the reception area to confirm that your device is working properly. 

(2) Before using, you must connect to the Internet and download the desired assistance data (voice guide, captions, and/or sign-language help).

### 4/5 — 「観られない」を減らせるアプリ

聴覚障害者にとって、日本映画を字幕付きで鑑賞できる貴重なアプリです。
話者名だけでなく、これまで意識していなかった環境音や聞き取りにくい方言、思わず微笑んでしまうような言い回しまで文字で確認でき、鑑賞の楽しさが広がります。
スマートフォンで字幕を確認する場合、視線が分かれることで没入感がやや下がると感じます。また、上映中スマートフォンを使うことへの周りからの視線が気になります。そこは字幕を観ていることが周りから見て分かるようになると良いなぁと思いました。
それでも対応作品であれば、上映回を選ばず利用できるのは大きなメリットだと思います。

動作確認は手こずったが、劇場では難なく使用できた。初回は映画自体を楽しみたいが、リピートする作品に理解が深まってコンテンツとしてとても興味深い。これからもっと活用したい。自分もそうだったが、そもそもこういうガイドが無ければ映画自体を楽しめない人がいるということに、もっと多くの人が気づくと良いなと思う。

動作確認さえきちんとして、余計なことをしなければ動く。Appleのライトニング純正ケーブルでイヤホンジャック変換し、IE100Proで無事音声ガイドを楽しめた。同期も正確だった。

不具合問合せの動線などがどこにあるかわからないので、そこだけなんとかしてほしい。

音声ガイドを使用してみました。気付いてなかった情報も拾うことができ、また違った角度から映画を楽しめました。自分のスマホで字幕も使えるようなので、今度試してみたいと思います。

洋画は全て未対応。
邦画も全て対応していると言うわけではない。
観に行きたいと思ったタイトルがピンポイントで対応していない。痒い所に手が届かないと言った印象。

評価点としては、動画配信サービスの映画でも使用できる事がある点と、障がいを持つ人へこう言ったサービスがある事で映画を楽しむ事を提供している点と言ったところですかね。
