Lots of bugs. UX is inconsistent. Features don’t work. Would not recommend the iOS experience. Not good. ### 3/5 — Works on first download, but… *2026-08-05, version 8.108.0* After a a few weeks I was already having so errors. 1. I started with trouble logging into the app. Mostly because the app only allows for verification through email. I never have been able to receive emails from Udemy before, and so it was a matter of looking to get access. I contacted the Udemy help desk ai, which was very interesting. By that I mean it feels like it purposefully makes you go through loops to actually get in contact with Udemy to get help. Once I got the help, they contacted me through email and we were able to solve that issue. 🎉 2. I just logged back in today after always having access to my classes and all of a sudden my purchased classes were gone. I tried searching for them and it would not load. I’m not sure what had happened so I decided to delete it and reload the app onto the phone. Still did not fix it. Then I decided to see on the site it would load and sure enough it does. I’m not sure what kind of error this app is having, though I feel that this could be improved upon. Until then the app has lost me for now. I’ll just watch my classes through the website instead. ### 3/5 — Horrible on iPad *2026-08-05, version 8.80.2* Many courses and some specific lessons won’t play on my iPad. My iPad is fully updated as is the Udemy app, yet still has issues. It’s really annoying. ### 1/5 — Can’t do any courses on app *2026-08-05, version 8.108.0* I have a subscription, I can log in on pc and do courses but on mobile I have to buy the same courses? ### 1/5 — Dumpster fire that never works *2026-08-05, version 8.108.0* When you try to access Udemy.com in Edge - Error 401 and the site won’t load. Anything that’s not Udemy (eg support.udemy.com) will load but not the main URL. When you try to access the site in Safari or Chrome it prompts you to allow downloads and tries to download a file onto your device. Replicated on computer and tablet same issue across different browsers (even tried Brave and that didn’t work either). If I open after a couple of months, the courses show up but not even a single lesson runs without an error. I had to think for myself what is wrong and I realised the auth token might have expired but the app could be showing content from cache. And after logging out and logging back in, it works. The scroll is horrendous. Lags like hell. Please fix the app performance. I’ve used Udemy for years now. Despite this, I am writing an app review. The app is god awful. Not sure why such a successful company hired awful devs. It’s a wanky app, and off the top of my head, here were some major issues on the app: not all of your purchased videos will show up on “my learning” section, the search section doesn’t work… just says “trouble connecting”, wishlist is missing some courses, cannot find my shopping cart, and when I try to purchase a course, it says I need to refresh the app despite fully updating it and refreshing. In a world of AI to help devs (ESPECIALLY UI DEVS), their dev team should definitely be fired for this embarrassment of app considering how big the company is. ### 1/5 — Should be delisted, no video, pure trash *2026-07-30, version 8.108.0* This app won’t show video and the troubleshooting steps are a joke. Did you update and reboot, please. Courses won’t download. You get courses taken off you because the person who created the corse broken the rules and you have to contact support for a refund for someone else breaking rules. It crashes and skips course content all the time ### 1/5 — They take material away *2026-07-25, version 8.107.0* I opened the app to get a list of all the trainings I’d done over the last few years (to submit for a certification), and most of the trainings I’d done disappeared one by one. So not only can I not submit them for CPE’s, but I can’t even finish the ones that I hadn’t completed yet. ### 1/5 — Lost all course progress *2026-07-24, version 8.107.0* I lost all course progress due to system wide update for that particular course, and now Udemy just recommends starting over. No notification was received of this coming, and no refund allowed. Now, it’s literally unusable.
