hey, 2.1.1 is here. this one is mostly about scrolling, remembering what you opened, and numbers doing their one job.

• expanded entries, images, and revealed spoilers now remember your choices while you scroll away and back within the same feed. pull to refresh or switch sections to start fresh. you already tapped “continue reading.” that wasn’t a temporary opinion.

• fixed cases where scrolling could give an entry another entry’s image or expanded state. also reduced repeated text and image layout work. spoiler animations now pause when they’re offscreen or the app is in the background. invisible confetti can take a break.

• loading more content is more reliable across topics, profiles, messages, wishes, and other lists. fixed cases where a failed request could skip the next page, or an old request could interfere after you refreshed or changed filters. loading failures also get clearer retry options.

• for you keeps the entries you’ve already loaded during your current session instead of removing earlier ones as you scroll further. going back to something you just read should not become an archaeological project.

• refreshing your profile now updates the header counts and karma too. profile statistics handle tied rankings more consistently, and failed requests no longer pretend you have nothing to show. blocked users are also excluded from favorite author statistics.

• notification search keeps different searches separate. marking activity as read updates it across those results, with fixes for repeated badge deductions. using a notification’s vote, favorite, or follow button also won’t replay that action just because you reopened the app. once was the instruction.

• today and trending filters handle quick changes and saving failures better. an older saved selection should no longer overwrite the one you just picked. if saving fails, the app tells you.

• announcements further down the list no longer wait through an increasingly dramatic entrance animation. they’re announcements, not award nominees.

thanks for reporting the things that only happen after scrolling for ten minutes, changing a filter, and coming back. oddly specific is useful. keep it coming.

hey, 2.1.0 is here. this one is about better summaries, better listening, and actually arriving where you asked to go. reasonable expectations, really.

• topic summaries now work through all the entries matching your selected view, instead of stopping at the old limit of 150. long entries get processed in smaller pieces rather than cut short. bigger topics can take longer. reading more does that.

• summaries are written to repeat less and leave more room for important details and disagreements. five people saying the same thing shouldn’t erase the sixth person’s different experience. if all the entries can’t be loaded, you get an error instead of half a topic pretending to be the whole story.

• siri can now open a topic by name. try “hey siri, open space in udictio.” also improved how siri requests reach the right screen when the app is starting or you need to log in. opening the app was only half the assignment.

• summary requests are clearer about what you mean. “hey siri, summarize space in udictio” uses the whole topic. “hey siri, summarize this topic in udictio” keeps the filters on the topic you’re reading. asking again can reopen the summary, too.

• topics opened from your iphone’s search have a more reliable route into the app. also fixed a cause of duplicate topic listings and made failed indexing retry when you visit again. older duplicates may take time to expire. search results apparently need time to let go.

• listen got a rebuild underneath. preparing long entries uses less audio buffer memory, and stopping or switching entries cancels the previous preparation properly. your lock screen controls and voice selection are still there.

• translation handles closing, cancelling, and trying again more reliably. incomplete translation results now report a failure instead of quietly leaving blank pieces. silence is not a translation.

• if a topic fails to load, you now get an error and a retry button instead of a screen that makes it look empty. also improved how the app notices changes to apple intelligence availability when you return.

• fixed startup handling for the shortcuts you get by holding the app icon. they shouldn’t forget what you tapped while the app gets out of bed.

summaries still run on your device and need ios 26 or later, apple intelligence available, and at least five entries. these improvements also apply on ios 27. ai can still get things wrong, so the original entries remain worth reading.

hey, 2.0.0 is here, with new search integration for siri ai on ios 27 and a few fixes that deserved to happen before they became personality traits.

• siri ai can search udictio on ios 27. try “hey siri, search for space in udictio.” it opens the results inside the app. looking for something else? replace space. the universe will understand.

• you can now say “hey siri, summarize this topic in udictio” while reading a topic. it opens the summary in the app and keeps your current filters. same rabbit hole, fewer words.

here’s what else you can ask siri:
“hey siri, what’s trending on udictio” gets you five trending topics.
“hey siri, what’s new on udictio today” catches you up on five topics with new entries.
“hey siri, open a topic in udictio” asks which topic and takes you there.
“hey siri, summarize space in udictio” opens that topic and starts a summary.
“hey siri, post an entry in udictio” asks for the topic and what you want to say, then posts your words. an actual entry. choose your wisdom accordingly.

today and trending also get readable cards where siri supports them.

quick detail: siri ai is available in beta on supported devices, with availability depending on language and region. summaries need ios 26 or later, apple intelligence available on your device, and at least five entries. posting needs you logged in with siri posting enabled. on older supported versions, say “hey siri, search in udictio” and it asks what to search for. you don’t need ios 27 for every improvement here.

• photos got some attention. fixed a bug that could stretch large pasted images, improved how large photos are prepared for upload, and stopped already loaded images from fading in again when you come back. your profile picture does not need an entrance.

• tap an entry’s favorite count to see who favorited it. wishes on profiles also load properly as you scroll. having more wishes shouldn’t make the rest disappear.

• cleaned up buttons, navigation, notification handling when the app opens, and layouts when you resize the app window. images and sharing panels now adjust with it.

• siri posting handles account changes and being turned off more reliably. if it can’t confirm whether your entry posted, it tells you to check before trying again. one hot take is enough.

• deleting or deactivating your account is simpler, without an extra password field getting in the way. staying should be your choice.

there’s also a big upgrade under the hood. you don’t need to know the names of the parts. they just need to work.

the big one this time: your topics now live in your iphone's search.

here's the deal. every topic you open in udictio quietly gets added to your phone's spotlight search (the search bar you get when you swipe down on your home screen). so later, when you sort of remember something you read but not where it was, you don't have to dig back through the app. swipe down, type the topic, there it is. tap it and you land right back inside it.

it only keeps topics you've actually visited, it forgets them after 30 days so your search doesn't turn into a junk drawer, and it wipes everything the second you log out. your history stays yours.

also in here: read aloud now picks the best voice for whatever language it's reading, so it sounds a little less like a haunted gps. plus the usual upgrades under the hood you'll never see. i'll try to contain my excitement.
