Apple said they also get an error when trying to refund the payment as the app is still showing as a free trial. They also have no idea how my son managed to download the app for the free trial as I have “Ask to buy” on my son’s account and no approval request was sent. I have also received no invoice or receipt from Apple for the payment which they don’t understand either. They are now investigating the app developer.
