Only the main thing you should consider that the return of the car just before the allotted time to avoid surprise bills and drive allotted distance as well. Book it.. Ride it .. Now the cons , people who used last should be penalised honestly for how dirty they leave the car.. there was cigarette buds , hot , drinks with my recent car … I took the car personally and washed it cause i needed the car two days. When I got to the location they gave me, the car wasn’t there at all. And guess what? The app still unlocked it and charged me for it. I wasted around half an hour wandering around like an idiot. The location was wrong, pinpointed inside some office building. They gave no color, no real details except a car number. I checked every inch of the area, parking, everywhere—no car. This was the most infuriating experience. I want to warn everyone: this app is a complete disaster, unreliable, and a waste of your time and money. After unlocking the car, I found it in unacceptable condition. The interior was extremely dirty and smelled very bad. The tires were dangerously worn out (almost smooth) with visible tearing, which is unsafe to drive. I contacted customer support immediately. To be fair, they refunded the car rental and allowed me to switch cars. However, since I had no personal car and had to use a taxi to reach this vehicle, I asked for the taxi fare to be refunded as well. Customer support approved a taxi refund (up to 35 AED). I submitted the taxi receipt, which was below that amount. Instead of refunding it back to my bank account (which is how I paid the taxi), they refunded it as YouDrive app credit. When I explained that this was not acceptable and asked for the refund to be returned to my bank account, they stopped responding. Poor vehicle maintenance and unresolved customer support issues ruin the experience. Even though am a very loyal customer and a company losing such customer without any care is very bad ### 5/5 — Best rental car service in UAE *2026-01-29, version 4.1.2* One of the best ,affordable and hassle free services and fleet. ### 1/5 — They are scammers. *2026-01-22, version 4.1.0* Unfortunately, I am afraid they are scammers. First, they ask you to scan all your documents. Then they require a visa even from their own citizens and from Europeans who do not need any visa at all. In the end, they charge you a fee and reject your application, claiming they have never seen an International Driving Permit (which I, as a European, do not even need in Dubai). Do not download the application, do not scan anything for them, and do not provide any payment card details. I had to replace both my payment card and my ID. Customers must wait 2 months wait for answer. Udrive is under bankrupt, do not provide any information them. العربية (الفصحى) للأسف، أخشى أنهم محتالون. في البداية يطلبون منك مسح جميع مستنداتك. ثم يطالبون بالتأشيرة حتى من مواطنيهم أنفسهم ومن الأوروبيين الذين لا يحتاجون إلى تأشيرة أصلاً. وفي النهاية يفرضون عليك رسوماً ويقومون برفض طلبك بحجة أنهم لم يروا من قبل رخصة القيادة الدولية (مع أنّني بصفتي أوروبياً لست بحاجة إليها في دبي). لا تقُم بتنزيل التطبيق، ولا ترسل لهم أي مستندات، ولا تُزوّدهم ببيانات بطاقتك البنكية. لقد اضطررت إلى استبدال بطاقتي البنكية وبطاقة هويتي. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless- registration broken *2026-08-23, version 4.1.35* Registration flow is a nightmare. They are asking for irrelevant documents and customer support is pretty much useless. If it is by Udrive then it seems pretty sad. ### 1/5 — Only use if desperate *2026-06-25, version 4.1.32* If you’re desperate for a short term ride, go for it. If not, stay away, it is probably the most expensive out of all the apps in Dubai. Also, the biggest frustration of them all and if you have used it as much as I have, in the beginning its fine but eventually you start to notice that when you book through the app, you walk to where the car supposedly is and its not there. Save your money for either an app that you can hire for long term, and cheaper, since they also offer long term hire but at an extortionate price, or save up and just get your own car. ### 1/5 — Disappointing Vehicle Condition and Customer Service *2026-06-04, version 4.1.31* I have been a customer of UDrive for years and it was always my first choice whenever I needed a vehicle. Unfortunately, my latest experience was extremely disappointing. The vehicle I received was in poor condition, with visible dirt, interior stains, an unpleasant odor, and noticeable issues while driving. Due to urgent work commitments and the fact that my own car is under repair, I had no option but to accept the vehicle. What was even more disappointing was the proposed solution: I was asked to spend my own time, drive to a car wash, wait in line, pay for the cleaning myself, and then submit a claim for reimbursement in the form of app credit. As a customer, I do not believe it is my responsibility to fix issues that should have been addressed before the vehicle was made available for rental. This experience fell far below the standards I expected based on my previous rentals, and unfortunately it has led me to stop using the service altogether. I hope the company reviews its quality control and customer service processes to ensure other customers do not face a similar experience. ### 1/5 — Bad customer support *2026-05-29, version 4.1.31* Worst experience I took nissan sun car from garden city, drive it to car wash 4km which was not available also. Heard a sound. Took car home and washed it by myself, drive the car almost 2km still heard a drum like sound on passenger wheel front. Parked and called Udrive. Mohammed agreed to me taking another car 4km away but he didn’t lock the car. Drove to the location and the car was gone. Called again and Customer service seemed not to hear? Called again, this time another agent who didn’t even care about safety etc. l asked him to send his team like he said to check the car but refused. Really at this point l will try many other car rentals available. Thank you Udrive for your service to me and all l know for the last 2years. I can confirm with you that most of the times, I am having issues and loosing money either with their poor specifications or poor technology.. The customers service staff ( a male was very rude. The other time they charged me over 200AED their car was not starting and closed the car left the next day I got a bill and this amount will not be refunded in your bank account but keep for you to rebook again. They only serve areas within the city and try pack out of the city they will keep charging you even if the car is off and packed. I will delete my account from app. ### 1/5 — Don't trust this app *2026-05-04, version 4.1.30* You can't reach anyone ### 1/5 — I got charged for parking *2026-05-04, version 4.1.30* I was charged 125 AED for parking at my home location, where everyone parks and there’s no RTA zone anywhere nearby except about 10 minutes down the road. The same issue happens at work. When all designated parking is full, I parked on the ground floor in a visible, easy to find spot and even informed the driver via WhatsApp. There is no clear guidance or disclaimer in the app about where or how to park. You only find out after being charged, which is frustrating, especially as a new user trying to follow the process correctly. When I tried to explain this, there was no support or understanding. I’ve also had multiple experiences where the car is not parked where the app says it is, which makes finding it unnecessarily difficult. A simple improvement would be allowing users to upload a photo of where they parked the car to help others locate it easily. Additionally, I’ve unlocked cars through the app before and the doors didn’t open, which adds to the overall reliability issues. Overall, the experience feels inconsistent and unclear, and it needs better communication, functionality, and user support. ### 1/5 — Terrible service *2026-04-16, version 4.1.25* I booked a car, and when I got to it, it was filthy — the body, the windows, everything was dirty. Inside, it smelled like cigarettes, with cigarette butts and sunflower seed shells lying around. It honestly felt like I picked up some second-rate car from a random market, even though the ad claimed it was new and looked great. In reality, the car was in poor condition. Also, when I returned the car, I accidentally pressed the “end trip” button. I contacted support and asked them to unlock it so I could park it properly. After an hour and a half of back-and-forth, they finally said they would take care of it themselves and that I wouldn’t be fined. But the next day, they moved the car and still charged me a fine. All the conversations are recorded, but they don’t seem to care.
