Car delivery and pick up service is a huge benefit. One issue with the App is you can’t book as it requires a post code and then freezes. I end up booking through website, this issue has been persistent for a few months now. Also, loyalty credits are in Euros, but I live in the UK and they are never used up on bookings - sort of useless. My only qualms was not seeing details regarding £0.25 per additional miles outside prepaid package. Details suggest mileage can be increased or decreased whilst in rental status. App could be better especially when needing to hop out of car to charge and phone is not under arm rest and/or connection is weak/not available. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review & feedback. ### 1/5 — Probleme mit iPhone 14 Pro Max *2022-10-14, version 4.2.11* Die App hat derzeit erhebliche Probleme mit entweder der aktuellsten iOS Version, oder aber dem neuen iPhone Modell. Die Gesichtsverifizierung, welche für Registrierung und Entsperren des Autos benötigt wird, funktioniert nicht. Es erscheint kein Rahmen um das Gesicht. Ich stand vor einem verschlossenen Tesla und musste dann die Miete zusammen mit dem Support stornieren. Sehr ärgerlich. Für einen Dienst, der im Premiumsegment Autos vermietet vermittelt das keinen Premium Eindruck. ### 4/5 — Frankfurt rental *2022-10-10* The app stopped talking to the car and updating the charge level and distance travelled. ### 4/5 — Great Rental *2022-10-03* Rented a Tesla in Paris. Submitted all the docs. Pick up was no problem. App and car guided to charging stations. At drop off, the app’s “Close Rental” checklist page wouldn’t let me scroll down to the Close Rental button so I chatted with their help person who double checked and close it for me. We tried 5 different charging spots that the car recommended and we’re on the app, none worked. I now made a new booking and oh my the app has gone downhill. ### 1/5 — Car never showed up - would give 0/5 if possible *2024-12-04* It was a rental from Williamsburg NY location thanksgiving weekend I had prebooked the rental many months ago. I live chatted with them prior to rental to confirm, they said yup good to go. Day of rental, went downstairs and car was nowhere to be found.. I called them and they had no idea where it is and basically told me there’s no car in any location in NY. Good luck, I’m on my own. They said management will follow up. I got apology email that made me even more furious. Here’s their exact wording: “It’s worth mentioning that situations like this, while rare, can happen, and no one is at fault. These are just the unpredictable challenges of life” (HUH?!) ### 1/5 — Cancelled my booking at short notice *2024-11-28, version 4.24.1* Held on to my money for two months then cancelled my booking, thus ruining my plans for the festive period. Still no Dublin airport access unless you pay E80 delivery fee. Things were much better a year ago. Now it’s too big for its boots. Charging insane prices for hidden extra. 50 KM included per day is a disgrace. What use is that…. Disgusting. The Ryanair if rentals. ### 1/5 — Racist Company, BIPOC please avoid this service *2023-07-14* My booking was great. I really had high hopes for this services. No major issues. The issue came with the return. I communicated to the customer service team that I was running behind for my return time. The customer service agent Christina was very rude. She said return at 5pm or we’re turning the car off. I tried to explain to her that I was not going to be there exactly at 5pm due to traffic. My eta was 6:15pm. For some reason she could not comprehend that. So 5pm passes and she starts manually turning on the heater, steering wheel heater and seat warmers. Mind you LA is in the middle of a summer heat wave. Everytime I turn on the AC she keeps turning the heat on and seat warmers on. The car was getting very hot and at this point I’m dropping in sweat. I had to pull over because I was starting to get heat exhausted. At this point I pleaded with Christina to stop turning on the heat but she refused to do so. She was not allowing me to continue me drive to return the car. I told her that I’m dropping in sweat and it is crazy to be treating a paying customer like that just for being an hour late. So now she threatens me and tells me the police have been dispatched to retrieve the car. THAT IS VERY MUCH OVERKILL FOR A LATE RETURN. The rental agreement states that if your late you get charged a $35 late fee and for the hours you had the car. Police would only be dispatched in the case if the car wasn’t returned 24 hours after the return time. It has only been 2 hours. So now the car is just sitting parked because she won’t allow me to return the car. I’ve rented from numerous car rental service and never have things escalated like this due to me being an hour late. This experience made me feel uncomfortable. They make you take picture everyday to get your virtual key. I definitely feel like me being black was the reason why she escalated things so quickly. I advise any BIPOC to avoid using this service. ### 1/5 — Poorly made app *2023-06-22, version 4.9.8* Poorly designed by a team that has no interest in iOS as a platform. The service level is fantastic, and booking is super simple. The verification process is a bit demanding, but it's worth it! The app itself works flawlessly. At very short notice I arranged to rent one for a day from Canary Wharf. The whole thing was pretty seamless from start to finish. I would highly recommend UFO rental and would use again.
