While they don’t offer (at least not yet) things like interest rates or payday advances like other fintech company. Just minor bugs with the app itself but support is very helpful and they have a discord to chat with other users. There is an in app currency that you earn with every purchase plus with daily wheel spins. You can spend it on the store they have which is full of gaming related products. I already connected one of my paychecks to it also and use it as a savings besides my winnings. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unwarranted account closure *2022-12-22, version 1.5.0* I’ve been with a gummy for about six or seven months and just recently they decided to close my account. They haven’t told me why they want me to wait an entire an entire 15 days that’s one pay period for me effectively so I’ll be missing out on my paycheck to wait for a check for money that is already mine. If you have a gummy at this point, I’d say find another bank. They are not worth it and they haven’t even tried to fix why they close my account they’re saying that it’s final in the reversible I have given no explanation as to what I may have done to warrant such a decision. ### 1/5 — Fase Advertisement *2022-11-09, version 1.5.0* U not getting what u pay for u buy a 30 dollar btc Voucher and u only get half of what u pay for and other things like ur link say one thing and then y’all change it and yall say it’s 400 when u put 50 dollars in but that’s a lie because when u send your link out it say u get 4000 when u put in 10 that’s not even worth mising with. People want what they pay for u can’t put out one thing and then give them what u want to do anyway u can’t keep changing things as u go u got to own up to what u put out this is a scam all the way don’t download at all and u have Ben reported to the bbb for fase advertisement ### 2/5 — App used to be amazing *2024-02-24* Recently there are way too many ads. I got about 10 notifications this month trying to get me to buy a premium account. Most other banks only send notifications for important things like your balance or when you spend money. When you open the app there are ads too that block the screen so you can’t see your balance unless you close the ad. In addition to the intrusive ads they also added a $3 fee to every gift card purchase which they didn’t use to have. Its still a decent app since you get cash back on every purchase but it’s definitely gone downhill. ### 2/5 — Was great! Decline??? *2023-06-09* Ugami was by far my most favorite banking app especially for gamers and with rewards. The rewards system was amazing and it felt like I was getting my moneys worth with the subscription. There recently was a change made without notifying the account holders. They changed the points structure from 400 points = 1 dollar to 1000 points = 1 dollar!! There was huge backlash and significant disappointment. The company did offer to provide additional points to make up for the difference but that doesn’t change how things will be moving forward. It now takes a significantly larger amount of money just to break even with the monthly fee of $10. I went from a true day 1 supporter and advocate to questioning keeping my account open. I cancelled my subscription now also. I hope things improve for the better! ### 2/5 — Froze my account for no reason *2023-02-14, version 1.5.5* I literally only purchased one thing and the next day,I tried getting back in but they froze my account, luckily I didn’t deposit a lot of money into it (only 30 bucks) just to see if it was reliable. I was very disappointed when my account froze. I was actually super excited to use this card because I was in love with the concept and overall UI on the app but sadly this happened ### 2/5 — Bad *2022-08-22, version 1.3.7* I’ve been trying to use cash deposit but says pin is incorrect try to change it on app won’t let me I call customer service they are no help so I go to try and deposit through another debit card and it’s stuck won’t let me add a card to it. It’s a great concept but need a lot of work ### 3/5 — Mislead by comments on Ad *2023-05-24* I will say firstly that once I figured out what the banking/debit situation was with the points and purchases etc that it seems pretty cool. I was mislead by comments making it seem like my time committed towards gaming was what earned me points by actively playing the games I ALREADY own and not so much as making purchases and earning points with the card. Probably my own fault or maybe I misunderstood but kinda felt like a bummer after I got excited to possibly make money playing the games I love. ### 4/5 — Love the benefits! *2023-07-04* With the debit card It’s like having a credit card that earns you cash back rewards. With most things you buy you will get points that then count as cash within the app that you can use. Only thing that bothers me is the recent change in the amount of points you earn per dollar you spend. Other than that it’s a great app for gamers and anyone who wants to earn rewards. ### 4/5 — Good bank *2023-05-17* I love this bank just wish they would work a little harder on the discounts like this is a great gaming account it would be amazing and stand out from all others if they could pull off micro transaction discounts I pay a lot in micro transactions in the video game world if I could gain points or save cents on a dollar per transaction or even get a large discount percentage per large transaction it would be perfect like take cash app for example you can activate an Xbox boost that saves you 10% on any Microsoft purchase I love it because I can see my saving so I use it over this when making an Xbox purchase getting small amounts of points is good fun and rewarding and all but when I have the option to see money saved $45 instead of $50 coming out or better I’d run that way over points any day ### 4/5 — Great reward system for gamers *2023-02-12, version 1.5.0* This bank has the ability to be great! So I did. And now I can’t find it. This one is just a repeat pretty much. The app is wonderful. You earn UP by spinning a wheel and/or buying things with the Ugami Card. With those points you can use them to redeem some prices off things in the in-app store.
