One of the features I would love to see added to the Photos App is the ability to rate photos with a star-rating that translates in the metadata to 3rd party applications (light Lightroom, Davinci, etc). It would be so amazing for countless photographers/videographers. Die App ist übersichtlich, stabil und macht den Zugriff auf mein NAS unterwegs angenehm und zuverlässig. Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und die wichtigsten Funktionen sind gut erreichbar. Zwei Punkte würde ich mir als Verbesserung wünschen: 1. Anpassbare Icon-Größe auf der Startseite 2. Offline-Funktion für Fotos & Notizen
Aktuell kann man Filme und Musik offline herunterladen – das funktioniert gut. Sehr hilfreich wäre es, wenn auch die Fotos- und Notizen-App offline nutzbar wären. Gerade bei Flugreisen oder an Orten ohne Empfang wäre das ein großer Vorteil. So müsste man Notizen nicht extra in die native iOS-Notizen-App kopieren, nur um sie offline verfügbar zu haben. Abgesehen von diesen beiden Punkten bin ich rundum zufrieden und nutze die App regelmäßig gerne. Weiter so – mit den genannten Verbesserungen wäre sie für mich nahezu perfekt. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t give full functionality *2026-07-11, version 1.17.0* Sadly this app is misleading. It will let you get your NAS up and running, but so any settings, which are kinda important, we can’t access through this app. We need to use a computer to set them up. Lots of functions we can monitor using this app, but don’t be fooled into thinking you won’t need to use a computer. You will. Such a shame. Would’ve been SO MUCH BETTER if this app could do everything the PC interface can do. I don’t get why this isn’t possible. ### 3/5 — App crash *2026-06-29, version 1.16.1* Privacy management tap - crashes app. No vault app for non-admin users. ### 4/5 — NAS内の写真をデジタルフォトフレームのように使えることに期待 *2026-06-28* UGREEN NASに保存した写真をタブレットで表示し、スライドショーのように使うことで、デジタルフォトフレームのような運用ができればと思い利用しています。 家族写真や日常の写真をNASにまとめておき、タブレット側で気軽に見られるのはとても便利です。写真を保存するだけでなく、あとから自然に見返せる環境づくりに活用できる点が良いと感じました。 一方で、スライドショー表示や常時表示、フォルダ指定、表示間隔などがより分かりやすく設定できると、デジタルフォトフレーム用途としてさらに使いやすくなると思います。 今後のアップデートで、写真を楽しむ機能がより充実することを期待して星4としました。 ### 3/5 — Not bad *2026-06-03, version 1.16.0* Needs some UI/UX improvements. IOS ONLY *2026-05-24, version 1.15.12* I’ve been using this for the past year and a half or probably more probably two years. I’ve never had any issues. It’s really great but recently this week shows in my theaters app it just all of a sudden just crashes the whole app in the middle of watching and it doesn’t happen on an android it doesn’t happen on PC or anything. The NAS is fine but just the iOS app it crashes when you are you watch videos now. ### 4/5 — Mr right *2026-05-21, version 1.15.12* The app is very powerful yet simple to use. Just need add photos app for tv. ### 4/5 — App ist gut *2026-05-16* Die App ist gut gelungen, jedoch wenn sie im Hintergrund läuft bin ich gezwungen bei verbundenem Auto CarPlay zu nutzen und kann den normalen Autoradio nicht mehr nutzen. Der Radio springt automatisch zu CarPlay. Außerdem fehlt mir in der tvOS-Version die Möglichkeit Fotos aus meiner Mediathek anzuschauen. Wenn diese Bugs noch gefixt sind, ist die App und der ganze Server besser als iCloud ### 3/5 — Stromverbrauch überhöht *2026-05-11* Die App bietet im wesentlichen die gleichen Funktionen wie die Web-UI. Allerdings ist der Stromverbrauch exorbitant überhöht. Das wäre kein Problem wenn man einfach mittels Browser die Weboberfläche benutzen könnte. Dies wird jedoch leider im Browser blockiert, man solle die App verwenden. Bitte entweder den Batterieladungsverbrauch auf vernünftige Masse reduzieren oder die Benutzung der Weboberfläche mit mobilen Browsern gestatten. Bad reviews and it’s only 4.0 stars. I love my NAS and this app. They’re doing a great job and it’s always getting better. Keep up the good work! Edit: I did find an area of improvement. I was backing up a bunch of my photos into a folder, in the files explorer, and I noticed I couldn’t sort them by the date the photo itself was actually created. like, if I sort by creation time, it says all the photos were created at the same time and date but obviously my thousand photos were not created all at once. I know that’s the date/time that I copied them into the folder but that’s not how I want to sort them. I want to sort by the date the photo was taken like in my iPhone. I like that new features are regularly added and that it’s simple to use. Accessing everything is very straightforward. The only minor suggestion or feedback I have is that I’d really like to see a toggle in the Comics app to turn off displaying page numbers at the bottom, as sometimes it goes over text.
