The app frequently disconnects and it is necessary to re-enter the password frequently. Otherwise the app appears to work fine. A nice feature to have would be integration with Apple HomeKit. ### 2/5 — Phenomenal product, poor app *2025-10-28* I’ve written product support a few times for different issues and I never receive a proper response. My latest issue is the app isn’t updating readings while running in the background anymore. I get an alert about humidity or temp, so I’ll open the app and the readings are from last time it was opened. You must force close the app when you are done or the next time you use the app it will display old values. The app itself could use modernization and a dark mode, please! ### 2/5 — Dark Mode Needed *2024-10-12* This app has not seen any feature changes in years. I use this primarily at night to monitor the kids room and blinds me with the white background every time. Our 1926 home is going through a 21st century update: insulation, induction range, geothermal HVAC, electric water heater, heat pump clothes dryer. Pleased for a little over a year and then everything disconnected. No response from the suggested information sent to the support email. A lot of money for a year of information. What now? ### 4/5 — Love them … only if Uhoo.. *2024-02-04* Would run the updates to excute during the respective time zone’s daytime hour would make it a 5 star. The flashing LED light during sleep hours is a bit annoying, and does wake me up occasionally in the middle of the night. ### 2/5 — App is basically useless *2023-03-13* Overall UHoo is a great product and will be an asset to your home. However the only value you will get from it is by using the web portal. The iPhone app is totally useless as it constantly disconnects from your devices, forcing you to have to keep re-adding the devices to the network. You won’t have this problem with the web app, so here’s what you do: 1. Download the app to install your devices. It took me an hour to install two devices, as the app kept losing the network and the devices, forcing me to reset the devices several times before they finally worked. 2. Forget about the app, delete it, do whatever you want, and just use the web app. It’s terribly inconvenient if you are on the road, but for some reason, this app just can’t get networking right. ### 2/5 — Very poorly designed app *2022-10-23, version 11.0.9* The only insight into the readings of the device is through this app, but the app is so poorly designed that it ruins the entire experience. ### 1/5 — Privacy Warning *2022-05-03* There is no legitimate reason this app should need your precise location in order to set up the device on your local network. And there is no way to complete the set up without granting precise location. Apple should pull this app from the App Store immediately. ### 1/5 — Constantly goes offline / needs to be re-setup *2022-04-08* While device appears to provide good information when connected, it consistently goes “offline” and needs to be hard reset & re-connected to Wi-Fi after only a few minutes or few hours. I contacted support and was given a shameful condescending lecture about how “electronics wear out” - but the same issue occurs with a brand new unit I just received. Probably going to return both units unless their garbage customer support somehow pulls off a miracle. ### 2/5 — Update *2022-03-20* The recen update messes up everything. I try to see real time and can sometimes only shows me an hour back. The old version was way better. Please fix that ### 1/5 — Simple bug refused my wifi password; support ignored me *2022-03-01* The app refused to accept my wifi password, because it has an unusual format, so my uHoo could not connect to wifi. Many other devices connect fine - it’s a dumb bug in the app. They didn’t respond to 2 support emails and no one picked up the phone from the Hong Kong number on their website. ### 1/5 — Un bon concept hélas de gros problèmes de fonctionnement *2021-09-19* L’appareil avec ces 9 critères et l’indice virus est un concept inédit. Hélas depuis plusieurs mois que j’utilise Uhoo, dès la première fois fois que j’ai eu à le connecter avec mon portable et toutes les fois suivantes où j’ai eu à le débrancher ( test sur 4 portables différents) il faut recommencer une centaine de fois la procédure d’installations sur plusieurs jours avant que cela fonctionne. Difficile de le recommander ### 3/5 — Good, but needs improvements *2021-09-01* Love the UI and how easy to set up the machine is. The one gripe i have with it is the graphs. It should not reset every the graph ever hour. For example, once it hits 9:00, it shows data from 9:00-10:00, but of course there is no data from 9:01 and onwards because that’s the future I would like to see the tome be a sliding window At time 9:01, the graphs should show 8:01 -9:01 Then when it hits 9:02, show data from 8:02 to 9:02. ### 3/5 — Usability needs work *2021-07-31* Overall this is a great device and a great app. The app keeps it simple giving you immediate access to the parameters and data that you are most interested in. That aside, it does have usability issues. If you are examining your graphs and there is a device update the app immediately throws you back up to the top and you have to scroll back down only to have the device update a few seconds later and throw you back to the top. In addition the graphs go by hour, day, month. Completely leaving out weekly. Month is barely useful and I have no idea why you would skip weekly as week to week evaluations will be more sensible. ### 4/5 — Simple but effective *2021-07-31* Works well and reliably but I noticed a few things that would make it great: NO2 does not appear to be available in Appearance->Sensor Units, I want to change it to mg/m3 bit can’t Day view doesn’t go up to the current moment, so you can’t see a sudden uptick as a big deviation from the previous trend Also day view loses resolution and appears to only show hourly data points, obscuring any quick spiky behavior In hour view when there are big variations the scale changes between pages, you lose track of the trend Paging back and forth might be easier and more intuitive with some big arrows on either side of the graph Need ability to download data in delimited file format Would be nice to have a multi graph view with check boxes to show more than one item in colors, so you could see how CO2 goes up and TVOCs go down when you close the windows ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless support lady *2026-03-27, version 11.8.1* The support you get when there’s no real support ### 1/5 — Worthless *2025-03-21, version 11.1.33* The apps is terrible Support unresponsive Devices disconnect constantly Forget password, no option to reset through app. Canceled Threw overly expensive device out Retired executive of well known worldwide company who had environmental measurement as on responsibility Telling friends and former company to not waste their money. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-06-25, version 11.0.23* Disconnects constantly. Just total garbage. ### 1/5 — Forced survey - BOO *2023-08-29* After downgrading from our premium trial - I was forced to take their survey or they wouldn’t allow use of their app. They provided VERY limited, VERY narrow options to choose, and only ones that basically provide them a positive view. That’s not coerced at all! So for not allowing my own voice, my own view - you get one star and THIS honest review. Oh yea… and the reason we turned down premium is because it’s freaking expensive especially after purchasing your already outrageous, expensive priced device. ### 1/5 — Useless *2023-07-30, version 11.0.17* App is useless. Maybe that’s because I’m unwilling to pay their monthly fee for “service”. It wasn’t enough to spend $300+ on the actual device. The app gives live and historical data for everything the device measures. I want to dock a star because the app doesn’t have a dark mode… but I’ll just submit a request to app support. ### 5/5 — Excellent product and app with useful tracking *2021-12-03, version 10.6* We initially had a uHoo downstairs only. We noticed that there were high CO2 readings. Thanks to the app and ability to look back at the recorded levels we were able to identify that the CO2 was high when the boiler was on. We have since had the boiler serviced and now have no CO2 problem. Typically boiler services only check for CO and not CO2 and thus this problem would have been undetected without the uHoo. The boiler service provider used the uHoo to verify the results of the service as he was unable to measure CO2. We have since got another unit upstairs to monitor the air quality. The accuracy and feedback of the product and app are brilliant and it is very useful to track the conditions in our nursery. The support team are excellent and have answered any queries we have had very quickly. Could not recommend the device more. ### 5/5 — Top: Umfassende Umweltanalyse *2021-10-17* Der uHoo Sensor und die App bestechen durch eine umfangreiche Messung einer Vielfalt von Daten (ich kenne kein anderes System in dieser Preisklasse mit dem Umfang an Sensoren), eine gute Aufbereitung und gute Hintergrundinformationen. Die Einrichtung des Gerätes ist einfach und in 3 Minuten erledigt. Ein kleineres Problem (bei mir letztendlich verursacht durch eero WLAN Komponenten und nicht durch uHoo) wurde schnell, freundlich und kompetent sogar am Samstag/Sonntag mit mir analysiert und gelöst. When I reached out to the customer service team to get export the data for sharing with an air quality specialist, they were very responsive and sent me what I needed. I would like to be see data export.csv that embedded into the tool in the future, but overall I’m very satisfied with the product. ### 5/5 — Responsive support *2021-07-15* The app works well—clean and straightforward user interface. I had a technical question, contacted uHoo, and received prompt and comprehensive feedback. ### 5/5 — Great Customer Service *2021-07-06* I needed specific data in a .csv file and they responded pretty quickly and had one of the engineers get it back to me over a holiday weekend. The app is pretty great, wish they had the ability to export data as a native function and not requiring a business plan but I’m glad they sent me the data without switching to the business plan for $20 a month. Would recommend if you want a good multi-sensor and don’t hesitate to reach out to customer service they will work with you. ### 5/5 — Reboot *2021-07-01, version 10.2.1* Power went out and when restored, uHoo light was flashing indicating reconnection to WiFi required. It, via the app, gives us all of the information we want and need to keep track of our air quality. We live in the Los Angeles area where windows are often kept open but where we suffer from poor outdoor air quality frequently.
