This occurs most of the time, making my life so hard. Could you please fix this? It’s been going on for a while ### 4/5 — The app started not working *2026-03-27* This app was very useful and the most accurate so far. But recently they stopped showing any arrivals for certain stops, including most of the stops on teal line at least. Could you fix this issue? ### 2/5 — About timeliness *2026-01-30, version 4.3.7* Sometimes when I saw the bus was in 3 mins and I waited the bus just flashed from one side to the other of the map and I couldn’t see one at the stop. It’s weird ### 2/5 — keeps crashing *2025-11-04, version 4.2.0* the app keeps crashing whenever i try and view the route of a bus on the map, the old version was just fine :( ### 1/5 — New update :((((( *2025-11-04* This new update is absolutely awful, it is so much less user friendly and I cannot even stand to look at it. From the ad at the bottom of the screen to the tiny bus map, no refresh feature, no bus stops being shown on the map, and it not showing your location, this update was a complete downgrade. The last version was perfect and I really hope the last version gets restored. It doesn’t show you the location of the stops anymore or give you the option to easily refresh the bus location. The timing of the bus location also seems to be much less accurate. Also the map just looks way too busy now, it shows too much information like all I need is the street names and where my stop is I don’t need to know all of this extra nonsense clogging up the page. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for using UIUC Bus and thank you for your feedback! It was very simply to use and was not busy with unnecessary elements. Thanks again and let me know if you have any other feedback! ### 1/5 — revert back to the old version *2025-11-03, version 4.0.0* i am so sad. the old version of this app worked so much better and never skipped a beat whenever i had to check for bus availability. now the app just keeps crashing whenever i try to click on a stop. the closest stop near to me is wildly inaccurate now as i have to scroll down on the page “nearest to me” to find the stop that actually nearest to me only to have the app crash on me. please revert to the old version of this app, there was nothing wrong with it. ### 2/5 — Change it back *2025-11-03* The app used to be really good, sure it would crash sometimes or not load but the interface was much easier to use. Thanks again and let me know if you have any other feedback! ### 1/5 — new update makes it unusable *2025-11-03, version 4.0.0* please change it back to how it used to be. the recent update makes this app unusable. you can’t reload, and you can’t see where the bus is. it also doesn’t show the correct stops that are nearest to you. ### 1/5 — Change the UI back *2025-11-03* Change and adaptation is okay but this was not done in an okay way. When I’m in near me and if select the stop and bus a want to see, I want to see where the bus is clearly, where I am located, and more easy interaction with the map. You had a great ui for this. There is no need for a separate window of the next stops the bus is going to make i could just click on the stop I wanted to check the arrival time for. Thanks again and let me know if you have any other feedback! ### 1/5 — UI Change *2025-11-03* This app was my Go-to when I first got to CU 2 years ago; Clean UI, accurate “Near me” Stops, individual stop icons, etc. I loved it. But I don’t know WHY they decided to change the layout, and make every feature WORSE; messy UI, list of stops instead of the buttons (when before we had BOTH), AWFUL “near me” locations, etc etc. if something’s had to be changed bc of something gpa related it’s understandable, but this new UI is abysmal! **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for using UIUC Bus and thank you for your feedback! All my favorite stops deleted 2. I am no longer able to track my bus by stop. Only a line of a bus route is showed. 3. When clicking on the bus at stop, the screen to follow the bus route is too small. I want back my enlarged screen with the pins of each bust stop while I wait for the bus to arrive. ### 3/5 — new update *2025-11-03, version 4.0.0* i’ve used this app and preferred it over others for years. the new update seems more unpolished and takes away certain conveniences, such as now not being able to refresh on pages for certain stops to see if an estimated time has updated. the times still seem accurate but overall the new update seems unfinished and inconvenient. ### 3/5 — Prefer the old version *2025-11-03* The new version does indeed give a cleaner look. Yet, it removed some of the critical functionalities that made this my preferred app compared to the official app Transit. Top of which are the refreshes. You used to be able to swipe down to refresh the page in the stop view, with visual cues when the refreshing is done. So is the case in the individual bus location page with the visible refresh button. All of that is gone now, and I have no way of knowing whether the data is the most current. The current map is also not zoomed into the actual bus location, and instead shows the full route. For long routes like 1 or 6, you cannot tell immediately where the bus is, and you need to zoom in manually to the bus location. It’s just… from my point of view, unnecessary, compared to what was the case. Click the route, map zooms in to exactly where the bus is, done. I just think the previous version, even though the UI may not be the most up to date, it’s still the better version compared to the new. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for using UIUC Bus and thank you for your feedback! Thanks again and let me know if you have any other feedback! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bus not showing since a few weeks *2026-03-06, version 4.3.7* I don’t know why but since a couple of weeks ago, a bus in the yellow line going north is not showing. There’s suppose to be two buses every hour (so every 30 minutes) but one is not showing. The bus is there because I take it every week. ### 1/5 — Update is bad *2025-12-09, version 4.3.4* Please change it back to before, the new update sucks and app doesn’t work properly. ### 1/5 — New Update caused more issues *2025-11-12* The new update is terrible and I don’t know how anyone thought it was a good idea to do this… the old version worked fine, and now the “live update” of buses is constantly wrong, telling me a bus has passed or some just disappearing when I see it come to the stop minutes later. It’s also frustrating that when i refresh, the map zooms in. ### 1/5 — No refresh feature *2025-11-05, version 4.3.0* The refresh feature for bus times was removed in the update, so now when you click on a bus stop you cant see whether the busses are coming closer or not ### 1/5 — Horrible Update *2025-11-04* This used to be the best bus app. I just don’t get the changes, why would I not want to see the stops on my bus route and instead be forced to guess? Why wouldn’t I want to refresh the location of the bus I’m looking at, or better yet the bus I’m on? Why wouldn’t I want to see my location on the map? I can go on, but you get my point. Also I lost all mu favorited stops. If this update doesn’t go back I’ll have to switch to the transit app, i heard it was better anyways. ### 1/5 — Terrible update *2025-11-04, version 4.2.0* This app didn’t need any fancy updates, I used it for its accuracy and ease-of-use and now they ruined it please go back ### 1/5 — Crashes after update *2025-11-04* All favorites are gone and crashes when a stop is selected. Unusable as of now and I really need this to get around campus! Why did you fix what was never broken? Reinstalling made it work but still I cannot see long station stop names and my stop can only be distinguished at the end. This was by far the best transit app for uiuc, but my phone automatically updated it last night and it got rid of everything that made it good. Now the screens are very cluttered, the bus routes don’t show the stops, they don’t show your location, and there’s no manual refresh.
