### 4/5 — Approved within 2 mins

*2026-08-10, version 2.36.882*

This is the official app for traveling to the UK, it’s a bit clunky but it works, and my application was approved within 2 mins of submitting it!

### 2/5 — Rejects legitimate email addresses

*2026-08-09, version 2.36.882*

This app rejects valid email addresses.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-01, version 2.36.882*

My mother tried to follow instructions and finally need to enter adress details and it was correct and this simply stopped whole application because United Kingdom is not displayed in the list. It was necessary to enter address where person lives the most and it was done. Even entered another 2 address lines which was optional and it was failure. After 3 hours trial we gave up and will try to do it again on desktop computer.
This app needs immediately IT review and maintenance. Main idea is good because need to take photo for passport and face and scan passport chip but next steps are failure and everything stopped and we simply closed application because couldn’t move forward. Yes, she doesn’t speak English and this app needs multi language choices.

### 1/5 — Worst experience ever

*2026-07-31, version 2.36.882*

Got it in 24 hour check in for Ryanair flight. Passport and facial images not accepted and very slow. Absolute joke of a process.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t seem legit

*2026-07-30, version 2.36.882*

Uploaded all my data then couldn’t pay by card or use Apple Pay the two options provided

### 5/5 — Does what it says on the tin.

*2026-07-28, version 2.36.880*

This is a very well made application. The directions are easy to follow and the actions proscribed are simple and straightforward. My visa was requested and approved in under 30 minutes. Your mileage may vary.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-07-28, version 2.36.880*

Unnecessary, invasion of privacy, yet another surveillance state tactic, not accepting masked pictures puts disabled people at risk for no reason, surprise fee. Absolutely no upside.

### 5/5 — EASY

*2026-07-27, version 2.36.880*

This works well. Very well documented. Make sure you remove your phone case for the chip scanning.

### 5/5 — Smooth and easy

*2026-07-27, version 2.36.880*

Worked very well. Don’t understand how the average rating can be this low.

### 5/5 — Easy to Use

*2026-07-26, version 2.36.880*

I was concerned by the low rating. I used the app anyway to apply for my wife and I. Easy instructions and worked well. After submission, we received our ETA approval in less than 2 minutes. It is linked to our passports so no need to download or print anything.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — So frustrating

*2026-08-19, version 2.36.882*

Absolutely awful

### 1/5 — Chip scanning doesn’t work

*2026-08-18, version 2.36.882*

Chip scanning doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2026-08-18, version 2.36.882*

Even if you remove your phone cover, the app starts to rotate its disc immediately after you click and reply yes that your passport has a chip even before you begin the scanning process

### 1/5 — Bug

*2026-08-18, version 2.36.882*

Keeps getting frozen on the biometric chip screen

### 1/5 — England isn’t an option for UK travel!?

*2026-08-13, version 2.36.882*

I have tried multiple times to use the app and choose England as the country I’m going to but there isn’t an option for it. How is that possible.

### 1/5 — Camera permission didn’t work, ruined my day

*2026-08-12, version 2.36.882*

The app was unable to use my camera for no apparent reason. always showed up as camera unavailable. on top of that, i revoked the privilege and then allowed camera access again. still no luck. then i uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app, same outcome. if the app cannot use my camera there should be a reason why. i’m on a newer iphone so idk what the issue is.

### 1/5 — Chip reader does not work

*2026-08-06, version 2.36.882*

New iPhone, new passport. The app is broken and chip reader doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Anyone who rates this highly is foolish.

*2026-08-04, version 2.36.882*

Draconian invasion of privacy that not only doesn’t work well but adds inconvenience to the traveler for a problem that doesn’t even exist.

### 1/5 — Not 1 star

*2026-08-02, version 2.36.882*

Straight garbage of an experience.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worked perfectly at good price

*2026-08-19, version 2.36.882*

We almost bought the visa on another app that comes first with paid placement and they were about to charge me 190$ CAD each person for extra fast service, for the SAME service I got here. This app IS the good place to go. It is fast, and it charges decent price (39$CAD each person) for extra fast service. I did it AT the airport beside the counter. It was delivered in my email address 2 minutes after filling the form. Great app.

### 5/5 — Works perfectly

*2026-08-17, version 2.36.882*

Crazy how efficient and well designed this app is.

### 5/5 — changed from one star to five LOL

*2026-08-17, version 2.36.882*

Alright, I tried again. Instead of repeatedly taking photos of our passports (waiting for the app to tell me if the photo met its requirements), I decided to “use this photo” since it looked as clear as possible. Turns out that was the right call because my ETA was approved by the time I finished my husband’s!

So, I’ve amended my review.

If you’re getting frustrated with taking a photo of your passport because it keeps telling you that it doesn’t meet the requirements, just make sure the text is clear, four edges are visible, and minimize the glare and reflection as much as possible. It lists these things when it asks if you’re sure you want to submit. And then just submit.

If you’re completing more than one ETA (eg, for someone else), know that you will have to complete one at a time. There’s no “add a person” feature so expect to check out and pay for each application before moving on to the next one.

Previous review:

I’ve spent 45 minutes just trying to take ONE satisfactory photo of my passport. Extremely annoying that you can’t upload a scanned copy or a photo and then get it approved. It’s also very annoying that there is no “back button” in case you select something by accident. There is no choice but to exit the app and start over again!

### 5/5 — ***Extremely*** efficient

*2026-08-12, version 2.36.882*

I was hesitant to use this app, given the mediocre ratings. One can apply online with a browser. However, that option redirects you to this app as the preferred method. So, I tried it.

It was *exceptionally* efficient. It only took me a few minutes to complete the process. It was very easy. And, I was approved within two minutes!

### 5/5 — Very smooth process

*2026-08-08, version 2.36.882*

^

### 5/5 — Easy and convenient

*2026-08-04, version 2.36.882*

Easy to use, took 5 min to do

### 5/5 — Accepts payment in CAD $

*2026-08-03, version 2.36.882*

App works great and has been updated to accept currency charges in Canadian dollars and approval is very fast. Great app!

### 5/5 — Très fluide !

*2026-07-30*

Application fluide rapide agréable facile et j’ai reçu l’autorisation de suite après ! Bravo et merci

### 5/5 — Easy to Use

*2026-07-30, version 2.36.882*

The app worked great, just need to slow down and read instructions. Take the phone of your cover to scan, no issues. Turn lights down in the room for pictures. Easy process, payment through Apple Pay, and approval in minutes. Done!!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-30, version 2.36.880*

Looks like they listened to the Canadian complaints and can now pay in CAD $
