### 2/5 — Gone wrong?

*2026-06-07, version 3.8.15*

What’s happened to this app? It used to be very nimble, easy and responsive… not any more. It’s become laggy, slow to respond and almost impossible to use - something has gone badly wrong (and yes I am using the latest version)

### 2/5 — “Bugfix” has removed times from schedule again

*2026-06-01, version 3.8.15*

Well, today’s “ipad layout issues” fix has hidden the times from the train pages again. You can only see them by collapsing the side menu, despite all the empty space. This broke a few months back, then was fixed, now broken again. How hard can it be? Time to switch to a more reliable app, maybe.

### 2/5 — Unintuitive

*2026-03-09, version 3.8.12*

Cannot understand why ‘plan’ only lets me select from previous favourited stations?!

### 2/5 — Lost favourites

*2025-12-29, version 3.8.9*

I’ve used this regularly for years and the single most annoying thing about it is the way it loses all my carefully constructed favourites which i need to help make the most of my commute. It has done this at least twice so I cannot recommend it. Its sad as otherwise quite a good app.

### 2/5 — Later button gone

*2025-11-01*

I have used this app for many, many years but have now cancelled my subscription. The reason I cancelled my subscription is because the 'Earlier' and 'Later' buttons have been replaced by an 'Earlier' button and then a load of listed times that are confusing and unintuitive where I am constantly clicking on the wrong thing. Most people use this app when they are moving, or at a busy station when one simple thing to click on is paramount. Doesn't the developer realise all these weird times at the bottom are just unusable? Do not be fooled by the photo on the current app page, the app does not look like that now. In addition, as far as I can tell you can no longer click 'Earlier' to see delayed trains or even (which happened to me several times) the very train you are on whilst it has arrived early at the station you are searching for. Overall, the app is currently nowhere near as useful, or functional, as it used to be. Which I just don't understand. Subscription sadly cancelled.

### 2/5 — Poor

*2025-10-08, version 3.8.3*

I am stuck with a limited list of stations previously saved with no options to select any other stations! (Admittedly this is on iPhone XS).
Useless

### 5/5 — Broken

*2025-10-05, version 3.8.3*

Is the app broken?

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2025-08-07, version 3.7.17*

Excellent app- just what I was looking for. Excellent widget and live activity implementation also. I very rarely leave app reviews but this deserves one. Have also paid for ad free to support the app

### 5/5 — Excellent info, easy to use

*2025-06-18, version 3.7.15*

This app is reliable and easy to use. The info is always up to date and I like that I can save favourites for my regular stations. An absolute gem for travel in London

### 2/5 — Great app if the widget worked

*2025-06-09, version 3.7.14*

The configuration for the widget is currently broken. You can’t enter a choice of to: from: locations. So only the detect nearest station option works. Otherwise looks useful

### 3/5 — Used to be better

*2025-05-28, version 3.7.14*

Removed the “earlier function” so you can no longer see trains that are running late. Bring it back!

### 5/5 — Invaluable

*2025-05-25, version 3.7.14*

Love this app - I use it every time I travel by train. It’s particularly helpful when my train gets ‘terminated’ (or just breaks down) half way through the journey and I have to work out the quickest way to get home!
If it were possible to switch between journey searches (like switching between open tabs) that would be even better…

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not as good as previous

*2026-08-05, version 3.8.18*

Why change for worse app - every time they fiddle with the app it offers less.
They no longer make seeing earlier trains accessible so if you have departed you cannot access to see your journey

### 1/5 — Would be great…

*2026-07-08, version 3.8.17*

…but it keeps sending notifications despite having paused or turned them off, and support seems not to be able to understand this.

### 1/5 — Oct 25 - stopped working / crash?

*2025-10-27, version 3.8.5*

Great app. Had it for years. Now crashes on opening. Sad :(

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2025-10-27, version 3.8.5*

The app kept telling me my train was on time despite the fact the boards at the station told me it was 9 minutes late, as did the train app I usually use. So this one will be deleted and subscription cancelled.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-10-07, version 3.8.3*

Since latest update it is now impossible to add stations other than removing app and reinstalling. However after a few hours when trying to add a station using + it defaults to initial selection. Now useless !!!

### 1/5 — Widget function gone?

*2025-07-10, version 3.7.16*

My widgets were blank for
The last few weeks, I deleted them to re-add and it appears the feature no longer exists?

### 1/5 — Where has platform gone?

*2025-07-08, version 3.7.16*

Noooooooooooo

### 1/5 — Struggle to use

*2025-04-16, version 3.7.11*

I can’t use this app easily
I had live trains app before and can’t get it now. It was so much easier to use . Why doesn’t it remember my last route I checked and why doesn’t it show the platform and live updates . I miss my old app

### 1/5 — Why??

*2025-03-30, version 3.7.11*

They used to be an app called Lieve trains you select the station your nearest to you then select where you want to go and it will find you every train and every platform that you could possibly need

This app on the other hand will show you every train that you don’t need and it will track exactly where you are telling you nothing useful but it will shove adverts in your face when you have only seconds to catch a train. That’s exactly what you need.

### 1/5 — Great until now

*2024-12-05, version 3.7.9*

Notifications and alerts have stopped working and looking back at past trains has now been removed. I used this all the time. Really disappointing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best train app!

*2026-07-20, version 3.8.17*

This is the most simplest and easiest to use train time app available. You can set up alerts for your regular trains and get notifications in advance of cancellations. These can even be customised to days of the week if you wfh
I can always see the most up to date and live information even when the boards on the station aren’t displaying much info.

### 5/5 — Hall of Fame

*2026-05-25, version 3.7.17*

4.95 stars. My only issue is that if i try to check to see train times that are too far in the future like a few hours ahead it gives me an error when i try to look at all the stops that train has and what times they're for, which is probably because I'm on an iPhone 7 plus and the app isnt fully updated but apart from that ZERO issues. No ads, no bs, everything is quick easy and done. Successfully shows me whether my train is early, delayed with an updated time length or delayed with no time alongside. Moreover, allows me to favourite train stations allowing me to VERY EASILY find train stations I use daily or will regularly use when going out. Not once has there ever been any issues for me (irrespective of my poor device), the app doesn't buffer on me, lag, kick me out or anything as annoying. They even have an extremely cheap and great for value Alerts system where they grant you live notifications for your train times, including telling you if its suddenly delayed and platform station messages. Moreover, it allows you to use widgets as many times as you'd please, live activities and the journey planner. And the price? ONE MONTH FREE TRIAL, then 99p a month OR £8.99 a year (first payment happens after free trial is over). Its unheard of to see an app offer so much for free, then some how find a way to offer EVEN MORE when you use the paid version. I recommend this app to all my friends on iOS who travel with trains, and im not sure whether there's an android version. But if you guys choose to make one, I'll be one of your first recommenders😂. Anywho, this application is amazing, download it now!!!

*2026-02-26, version 3.8.11*

great app more accurate than the train companies

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-02-18, version 3.8.11*

It’s so easy once set up and I can find the next train home whilst running to the station.

### 5/5 — Probl

*2026-01-27, version 3.8.11*

The app is good but at the moment every time I go onto it the app
kicks me off

### 5/5 — If you travel by train in the UK

*2025-12-11, version 3.8.9*

This is an app you probably want.

### 5/5 — Nb

*2025-11-06, version 3.8.5*

Good app

### 5/5 — Excellent app for train info

*2025-10-24, version 3.8.5*

Amazing app! Easy to use. Relevant info, direct access. Other apps, you get bombarded with info and fluffy content. Not here. Which is exactly the point.
