So I received a letter saying I owe not a lot but the bill £238.95? Jan 2025 Sun Life Financial sent a letter stating £1880 to my income? 
Then the letter 7/07/2025 from yourselves has my breakdown as 
Sun Life               £470.16
State Pension     £13210.08
Sub total              £13680.18

Allowance            £12570.00

Taxable income   £1110.18

Then Income?     £2370.00
20%       Equals   £474.00
Less   50% 
Pension                 £235.05

So the question I raise why the income £2370.00

Surely as a layman I would have thought the total I received less the allowance 
£1110.18
20% of that is taxable not £2370 .00 not sure ? 
Then the difference 
£221.00 not the £235.05 ?

I do believe we must pay tax but I always check my accounts I thought some person from a non married couple was using my NI
