Watch app terrible *2023-10-05, version 8.1.3* The phone app works really well however the watch app is unusable. There are lots of popular beaches, naming one Brancaster that need accurate tide times as they are blocked off when the tide comes in. It would be better if the complication just displayed the app icon!! The app itself on the watch is also very disappointing. For example, on the graph view the heights shown don’t match the curve - the turning points are not even at the times LW and HW are shown. I suspect the curve displayed is arbitrary, not in fact a plot of the predictions. But I’m not investing the time to find out. I used this app for my job to search for previous tide times more than a week ago but now the developers have updated the app limiting many options including this one. When I go on my wife’s phone and subscribe, a message tells me that it will be free, but then tells me to subscribe again. Round and round. Tried uninstalling/installing and lost favourites - now wishing I had just not bothered! ### 4/5 — Ok but some annoying interface stuff *2024-09-19, version 8.3* Generally speaking this seems to work ok. I looked at a few different apps and ended up using this one. However there’s some elements that seem pointless: there is a slider on the tidal graphic wave that moves and changes the time code, but when you let go of it it snaps back to 11.58 ish. I try to click on the time to see if I can change it. But no I can’t. Not sure why this is. It would be good if the time slider stayed where you put it, that way I could see where the tide is at 6pm every day for example. Also if I’m looking at the tide in a certain location, then press the location button at the bottom of the screen, one might imagine you could change location… but no it just shows the location you are currently viewing and no others. Seems to be a pointless button then. It would be great to have a date set and then change location without the date defaulting back to today. So like I said.
