In the UL app, you can search for your trip quickly and easily and buy tickets for our buses and trains. Search travel: • Quickly search for your trip from your current position or by choosing where and when you want to travel. • The search results show various travel options and possible walking distances to the stops as well as a map that makes it easier to find the right one. • Save your most frequent trips as favorites. Use the heart in the search results to favorite a trip. • Keep an eye on the bus and see where it is directly on the map. Buy ticket: • Buy a 75-minutes, 24- or 72-hour ticket in just a few seconds. • Pay easily with Swish, credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or travel funds. • If a ticket reader is on board, tap the phone with the ticket towards it, otherwise you will show the ticket to the bus driver or train host. Traffic disruptions: • Any traffic disruptions or delays are displayed along with your search result. You need an internet connection to be able to buy tickets and apply for travel. The app also needs to have access to the mobile's location function to be able to suggest travel options from your current location. Tried to register to create an account but it just keeps giving random error messages. I suppose I should have known considering it’s AppStore rating ### 1/5 — Registration with Sweden phone number is required… *2025-05-06, version 3.22.0* Registration with Sweden phone number is required mean it’s unless for visitors, unlike the Stockholm SL app. ### 1/5 — Useless for foreigners *2025-03-17, version 3.22.0* Most other travel apps will let you buy tickets without creating an account, but UL forces you to create an account. They then don’t recognise non-Swedish numbers. Because you require a confirmation text to create the account, the app is completely useless. You have to go to central station in Uppsala and buy a physical card to use the public transport here. ### 1/5 — Unable to use app *2025-01-01, version 3.20.0* I couldn’t set up an account, because I never received a text message. If an email confirmation would work, that would be fine, but there was no backup method to make an account. The driver said he was unable to issue a 72-hour ticket. It seemed promising but didn’t work at all. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for US numbers or credit cards *2024-11-17, version 3.20.0* The app broke while trying to set up an account.
