## What is ULAK?

At a restaurant abroad, a hotel desk, or a doctor's office: they don't understand you, and you don't understand them. ULAK solves that moment. Pick two languages, put the phone between you, and talk. Whoever speaks, ULAK recognizes the language, translates, and reads it aloud to the other side.

TWO-WAY, ONE PHONE
• Detects the speaker automatically; no buttons, no picking a language per turn.
• Every translation is shown on screen and spoken aloud.
• The other person answers and ULAK translates back to you the same way.

WORKS OFFLINE
• Recognition, translation and speech all run on your device: on a plane, on the road, abroad without roaming.
• Your voice and conversations are never sent to a server.

TYPED TRANSLATION
• Type and send: ULAK figures out which language you wrote in.
• Copy the translation or have it read aloud.

HISTORY
• Conversations are stored on your device; replay any line whenever you need it.
• Delete with one tap, or turn saving off entirely.

VOICE
• Choose the speaking rate and pick a voice by listening to it.
• Natural voices you download to your device are available in ULAK too.

New: ULAK Translate keyboard. Type in WhatsApp, switch to ULAK with the globe key, and the translation replaces your text. Enable it under Settings › ULAK › Keyboards.

New: iPad support and a first-launch introduction.

• Image tab: translate from a photo or live with the camera. Translations appear right on top of the text; take a photo to freeze it.
• Push-to-talk mode: hold your language's button, release to translate. Built for noisy places.
• Change and swap languages in the Text tab.
• Text translation opens as soon as the translation pack downloads; speech packs download when you ask.
• Download notices: packs download over Wi-Fi only, and the app now says so clearly.
