## What is Ullam?

Ullam is a calm, private diary for your daily thoughts. No account, no tracking, no servers reading your life — your journal is stored on your iPhone and synced only through your own iCloud.

WRITE WITHOUT WORRY
• Beautiful, distraction-free editor with rich text, photos and your own emojis
• A warm day/night theme that follows the time of day
• Color-code each entry by mood, and tag it with a category

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Lock any diary with its own PIN — locked diaries are encrypted with AES-256, using a key derived from your PIN
• Face ID / Touch ID unlocks the app; every hidden diary always asks for its PIN
• Hidden diaries stay out of your main list and never open without their own PIN
• Everything else is protected by your iPhone's built-in data protection and stays on your device or in your personal iCloud. We never see it.

FIND ANY MEMORY
• Calendar view of your month, with mood at a glance
• Filter the calendar by category to instantly find what you wrote
• Track your writing streak and daily word goal
• Home & Lock Screen widgets: streak, mood, daily goal and a fresh writing prompt

OWN YOUR DATA
• Start faster with templates: Gratitude, Daily Review, Travel Log, Dream and Goals
• Export an encrypted backup protected by a password only you know, and restore it on this or a new device
• Share any single entry as Markdown

ON-DEVICE AI (PREMIUM)
• A writing assistant that helps you continue, rephrase or reflect, plus tag suggestions — running entirely on your device
• Requires an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, on iOS 26 or later

FREE & PREMIUM
Ullam is free for up to 10 notes, with multiple and hidden diaries, iCloud sync, widgets and mood insights included. Ullam Premium unlocks unlimited notes, the on-device AI writing assistant, your own templates and PDF export — with a 7-day free trial, then $1.99/month.

Start writing today. Your story is worth keeping — privately.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-12

Capture the moment.

Quick Entry: open Ullam and start writing in seconds, on iPhone and Mac.

Save to Ullam from anywhere: share text, a link or a photo from Safari, Photos or another app. It waits, encrypted, under Pending Captures until you choose a diary.

Writing reminders on the days you choose, at your time. Notifications never include anything you wrote.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-11

A clearer Premium screen. It now shows exactly what Premium adds: unlimited notes, the on-device AI writing assistant and tag suggestions, your own templates, and PDF export.

Multiple and hidden diaries, iCloud sync, widgets and mood insights were always free, and the screen now says so. Nothing you use today changes.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-15

Own your data.

• Entry templates — start from Gratitude, Daily Review, Travel Log, Dream or Goals, or make your own with Premium.
• Encrypted backups — export your diary to a password-protected file and restore it on this or a new device. Protected diaries stay locked with their own pincode.
• Share a single entry as Markdown.
• Fixes: restoring onto a new device now opens your diary right away, Delete All Data no longer crashes, and Settings shows the correct version.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-27

On This Day

Your diary now remembers. When you wrote something on this
date in a past year, it appears on your Today feed — and the
new On This Day screen gathers every year at once.

The big ones get their moment: one year, five years, ten.

Memories reach across all your diaries. Locked diaries stay
  locked and are never included.

You can turn it off any time in Settings. And as always,
  everything stays on your device.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-24

"What's New in This Version" (v1.2)

Find & organize your journal — privately.

  • Search everything — instantly find any entry across all your diaries by title, content, or tag. Locked diaries stay locked and are never searched.
  • Tags — organize entries with colored tags, then filter or browse by tag to revisit a theme.
  • AI tag suggestions — tap "Suggest tags" and on-device Apple Intelligence proposes tags for your entry. It runs entirely on your device — nothing is ever sent to a server.
(Premium; requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence.)
  • Refinements and fixes throughout.

As always: no account, no tracking, no servers. Your diary stays yours.
