There seems to be a lack of keyboard shortcut supports. First thing I did as an example was to try and create a new event using ⌘N and it didn’t work - you can ONLY do it by clicking the plus. Second thing I did was to try and go to a specific date, (⌘ ⬆︎ T), on other apps), but that didn’t work either. Also escape doesn’t work to cancel out of choices or menus. It looks great though but those three omissions stopped me going premium. Don’t know if I’ll find more issues as time goes on. It would be great if there was a default reminder deadline but now every single calendar entry has the exact same 7 day Reminder shown 3 times. It would make more sense if the default could be seven days then three days then one day. Also for an entry if you don’t hit “done” before you hit “save”, it won’t save. **Developer response:** We would love to hear from you in a support email as to what the quirks are that we could improve to get you up to 5 stars. Thanks ### 4/5 — Almost there. *2024-10-15* Wanted to purchase but missing couple things. No widgets. Need large. Custom themes are great feature but no lighter colors. Needs soft pastels. No updates for iOS 18 yet. I’ll keep an eye on it … **Developer response:** It has widgets. What did you need for iOS18, it works great? We are a little confused on these requirements. We are considering pastel/lighter colors and they might be coming soon, but not many apps offer even this level of customization, except maybe one of our own products... You can swipe up and down on the month, to go to that strip week view. And in the menu the same thing is available in the Zoom sub-menu. Thanks ### 5/5 — Week "Strip" view and easy to swipe between different time period strip views would really help *2024-06-11* This has a lot of potential, it would be nice for it to have a strip-style daily/weekly/monthly/yearly view that shows each day in chronological order in a scrolling view and be able to set any of those as the default view but also allow for easily toggling between view periods to oscillate perspectives (shorter term -> longer term -> medium term thinking etc) **Developer response:** Im not sure what you mean by "Strip" week view. We call the view when you use Zoom (or swipe up on the Month view) as a strip week view as it shows more of todays item's list and has a one week strip. We also have a 7 day(3 day on iPhone) timeline day view. Both of these can be jumped into the future by swiping. Thanks ### 5/5 — Beautiful App! *2024-04-26* Smoother than most calendar apps! I was able to connect everything with one click! It seems relatively new, sometimes it freezes when choosing an icon. I would like to be able to assign a calendar as “birthday” because the native version doesn’t have all of them. Regardless, this app is clean and pretty and customizable and I can’t wait for more! I got pretty excited about this one. Tried the free trial and it doesn’t get past one single page which is the year. I can’t even get it to show the day. It doesn’t come with directions, so I have no idea what I may be doing wrong. But I can’t understand how all these people, are they real people?, Are giving it such high ratings and actually, the pricing is too low to make it a really legitimate good app. i’m running it on the latest version of iPhone and the latest update. Good luck if it works for you. **Developer response:** Did you click on a month in the year view? It prompts you to do so after you have went through the onboarding screens. Which will then show the month view and ask permissions to show your existing data, and open up the app to use. There is a bit of a learning curve which we will be happy to help with any questions, but we did try to make it pretty intuitive for most app users. All apps including Apples tend to require a little experimentation. We are in the process of writing a user guide/directions, but I'm not sure that we would have included getting past the year view in it. I specifically love it because you can see reminders and events in the same place, the 3-day view makes understanding your day much easier, and there is a lifetime purchase option that is affordable so you’re not sucked into a subscription if you don’t prefer that. Lots and lots packed under the hood of the deceptively-simple design. Developer is very responsive. I'll have to re-think that. ### 1/5 — Ignored the app for 3 years *2023-11-21* I had purchased pro version of The Grid (base app of this version)which was ignored for several years and now the developer is asking to move to this app. What guarantees that it will not be abandoned? At least provide the pro version for those who supported and paid for the pro version of The grid calander app. **Developer response:** The Grid is still updated, and was paused in a state where no updates were required. The Pro version of the Grid was at most $5.99(most paid $2.99) and has basically the same features as the free version of Ulti-Planner has. So you want all new premium features that are now valued at far exceeding that, in a new app that has over 1500 new hours put into it, because you owned and used an app for years and can continue to use it, for a cost less than a cup of coffee? ### 1/5 — Can’t really try it *2023-09-09* Downloaded to give it a try but the features I wanted to try out are not available without purchase so can’t really test it out properly. Also, it seems a bit glitchy in places. Can’t be bothered to spend any time on this so will just delete and stick with what I currently use which works well enough. **Developer response:** A bit glitchy? 🧐 The premium comes with a free trial, so you can test without a purchase. That's the point of a free trial.. 🙂 ### 1/5 — NO WAY TO IMPORT CALENDARS *2023-06-24* Obviously program is useless with no way to enter date sensitive data as no default calandra as a result of the program being unable to recognize any of my 78 calendars. It’s sister program Agenda does this perfectly. Wasted 2 hours of my life trying to get Ultimate-Planner to work properly because promo material seemed promising. Did you not give the app permission to see your Apple Calendar Data, which if you did deny you can turn on in the Apple Settings App under Planner? ### 2/5 — Poor layout and design *2023-01-05* I’ve been using xtreme agenda (same author) for years and I absolutely love it. It is one of the few apps I actually paid to upgrade. I got a notice that this is the replacement for XA so I installed it. No, thank you. The interface is awful. The XA interface has a large calendar space and is very easy to read. I would need to use a magnifying glass with this crowded mess 100% of the time for it to be of any use to me. I like to code certain like events for quick identification. Datum stimmt, Erinnerung ist eigentlich für 1 Tag VOR dem Geburtstag gesetzt, aber sie kommt viel zu spät. Though there are hi-fi apps over there, you can’t find something like this for sure. Mac integration is fantastic and it syncs so smooth for me and the integration works fast too! Some cosmetic enhancements like few lighter colors for solid theme shall be added. Every solid color that are provided are kinda either dark or too bright. Yes, Pastels would look fantastic as someone commented. It’s also missing watch app integration, but it’s ok not a big deal for me. Hope the dev working on it. Still there are some features can be added. My Only thought is, why this wonderful app’s dev is idle since last 6 months.!? Hey dev, if you happened to read this comment, just give some noise that you are there. This is by far the best. Reliable, clean layout, easy to use and affordable subscription which you aren’t pushed into, just to name a few things. A lot of the other calendar apps were too complicated, too technological for me and charging an absolute premium for features I don’t need or know how to set up properly. This isn’t like that at all. Like many others, I have tried them all but this product meets all my needs in a calendar application. Way to go on the feature set. There clearly is attention to detail and that is appreciated by all users. The project component takes takes to a new level of organization. Calendar sets are the game changer for me. I not only separate work from personal but I have a separate calendar set for just daily habits. Love the use of color and options throughout the application. Nice work! My only wish would be to add a version for the Apple Watch.
