This app works fine when turning the alarm on and off but there are issues with the notifications. I set the notifications to alarm only, but get a notification every time a pir sensor is activated, even if the alarm is not turned on. This results in endless and constant notifications. Please fix this issue. ### 2/5 — Needs updates *2024-03-13, version 2.25.1* Please update the app to suit newer iOS devices. I’ve fully enabled all notification options and i’ll often easily miss them and see them hours later. I get an email and a very quiet banner notification. Often my phone is on silent so the notification doesn’t do anything to attract attention. If the developers could fix this and make the alert function like my wake up alarm that works even in silent mode, I would be ok with this app. ### 1/5 — Consider other hardware for alarm *2023-01-21, version 2.23.0* Consider the app before you consider your alarm system. This one constantly asks me to turn on permissions that I don’t wish to grant the app when it launches (location). Cannot default into an alarm device when the app launches - you have to select it every time. Arming and disarming takes too long because of all these taps and steps required to get the page up. Night mode requires tapping STAY 3 times. I just want to select night mode. Lots of potential if they add features and focus on UX. However, every time I want to arm or disarm the security system, I always get a message telling me the session is expired and then the app refreshes. For example you come home from a long day at work all you want to do is disarm and use your output setting to open garage BUT it won’t connect then there is a waiting for app to load and finally you get to click “ Disarm” the you have to select “output” then wait for that page to load then click “garage” if it decides to work , try that 6-7 times then finally it opens!!! It’s not a network issue it’s just a crappy and buggy app!!!!!!!!! Wish I had a different system now! ### 1/5 — Push notifications?! *2020-12-21, version 2.17.0* Haven’t been receiving push notifications when my sensors are activated since I’ve had this app. The notify on buttons are enabled. Update please! Seems like the app has bugs. Get an error notification when I drive about a half mile from home in the exact location each time! Update: can’t even get into the app. It says “too many username and pin failures. Please try again” and I never incorrectly entered my info! It’s been days now. Why won’t the developer update these bugs!!!!! My alarm company is no better. I can never get the customer service rep for Villara to ever respond back to me. I’m so frustrated. ### 1/5 — This system is awful! *2020-11-28, version 2.17.0* I have had nothing but problems with this security system and the app. The doorbell camera will stop working for no reason even though my wifi is fast and connected. Sometime it senses motion and other times it doesn’t. Anytime you make a change such as upgrading to a new iphone or router you have to go through the dealer instead of letting the user update it themselves in the app. After upgrading to the iphone 12 the app won’t log me in and there is no way to do a password reset. The HomeBridge integration is literally the reason I purchased the card and had it installed. The installer set this up properly for me and it works well. There’s always going to be a slight lag, given this works over mobile and internet. The ability to interact with my cameras, alarm and Zwave products in a single app is just fantastic. I honestly have pace of mind and confort since day 1. It gets better with every update. They seem to come about every 3 months or so. If I could yell at Alexa to put my ultra sync to work, I would never leave my chair! Maybe someday. I use it to control some lamps, garage door and front door lock, and security system. I got a camera that lets me check on things when I'm gone. I really like my smart home with this app and system. ### 5/5 — Easy Automation *2016-10-18, version 2.3.0* Super easy to use with a professional experience ### 4/5 — COR thermostat compatibility issues *2019-08-07, version 2.14.0* This app would be more universal if it would hold the Carrier Cor thermostat settings. It allows you to add your thermostat by inputting the screen name and password, but will drop off after a few hours. I contacted Ultrasync and they blame Carrier and Carrier blames Ultrasync. I place the responsibility squarely on Ultrasync to resolve this issue within “their” app. It would be nice to add the Cor screen name and password one time and be done with it once and for all. Please resolve this issue to improve the overall functionality. Update: The Carrier COR issue resolved with recent software update and seems to be holding well now. The auto alarm issued resolved by service technician turning off feature that sends a smart phone notification. The only issue outstanding is when you depress the 7” digital control panel. It now has a screen message to input “installer pin” rather than user pin or select arrow to go back. Please include in next update.
