UltraTap is a unique multi-tap effect capable of rhythmic delays, glitchy reverbs, huge pad-like volume swells and extraordinary modulation. It’s the perfect tool for creating drum fills, vocal choruses, swelling guitar chords and other evolving effects — everything from reversed reverbs to a massed church choir singing a Gregorian chant in Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Ne pensez pas que cet Ultra Tap est "juste" un delay: c'est une base de delay qui part dans de multiples directions, créatives, inattendues et inouïes au possible. Je comprends la réputation d'Eventide, dont je ne connaissais aucun produit. Investissez les yeux fermés, mais sachez qu'il manque deux fonctions de taille: le "trail" qui permettrait de laisser le delay en cours finir son chemin lorsque l'on désactive l'effet (là, ça le coupe sans état d'âme) et le contrôle MIDI. Bon sang, une pédale d'expression pour le Ribbon, des program changes, du CC sur les paramètres, ça s'impose. Quel oubli! Mais, probablement, ce serait trop de générosité, et cela ferait de la concurrence au produits "haut de gamme" (et "haut de prix") de la marque. Me trompé-je?
