App won’t even open! Manual available with QR Code is only for Android, not iOS! Looks like I’ve been suckered! ### 1/5 — App throws ads in your face every time you launch it & is no longer maintained. *2024-12-11* This app luckily still works in 2024 on ios 18.2 but it doesn’t fit any phone screen made in the last few years. It can’t even fit the voltage and current graph on the screen, you need to SCROLL the graph to see either reading. The ads are also super annoying, I often launch the app after having it closed for some time then have to wait for the add to skip before getting to do anything. Do not buy any power meter that advertises THIS as its IOS app. I’m gonna work on an open source one myself and put it on github. maybe even the app store ### 1/5 — Used to Work Great *2024-11-11, version 1.2.1* The app hasn’t been updated in 5 years. As such, it no longer connects to my UM34C. Looking at the reviews, it looks like it doesn’t work with anything running on a remotely modern IOS release. It is now effectively useless. This uses a special minimal Bluetooth connection that DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY PAIRING. You simply grant Yes to Allow app to access Bluetooth and it magically connects! Easiest Bluetooth I’ve ever seen. I bought my UM34C from AliExpress for around $20 or less during a sale. ITS INCREDIBLE. I wanted one for so long and I don’t know why I waited this long! I’m interested in evaluating the U2-WEB, a more sophisticated competitor that’s priced around $30-$40 with a larger screen. —— Note: ⚠️ Only UM25C bought from official Store before Dec 15th, 2018 support iOS The AliExpress listing for the UM25C on "RD official store" states: "From china time Dec 15th, 2018, UM25C began support iOS app. If you buy it AFTER Dec 15th at RD official store, it supports iOS app. BEFORE 15th, it can't." ### 5/5 — Works fine *2019-06-06, version 1.2.0* No reasons to complain. It does take some time to start up (and shows a plain black screen in that time) but eventually show the welcome and then the connection screen. Finds and connects to my UM34C quickly and displays all measured data.
