I just have to keep trying til it lets me in. Always keeping the password the same, it just eventually lets me log in. Then, they took me to the website to create a whole new account, like I’ve never existed before. When asked what happens to the old account, they just kept repeating “You’ll need to use this account on Google Chrome from now on” ### 1/5 — Can’t Use the App *2025-03-12, version 7.0.51001* I downloaded the app to have quick access to my account only to find out I can’t even log in. I can log in just fine on the website. It’s keeps telling me “Invalid User ID or Password”. Fix this please or might be looking for a new bank after 30 years ### 1/5 — Do not use bill pay!! *2024-12-13, version 7.0.5905* Still waiting for a refund: I tried the bill pay option on December 3rd to pay two bills. Today is December 13th and neither payment was received. I’ve had to come up with an additional $420 to pay these bills again as well as another $60 in late fees. I have called customer service four times and used chat twice. All I get is the “you’ll get your refund tomorrow” routine. Not sure when, or even if, I’ll get my money back but I will never use bill pay again and would never recommend it. It is very dated compared to what’s out there in 2024. I think it they can update the app it would be perfect. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — About to give up *2026-08-24, version 7.0.260100* I can’t even enroll because the app tells me the info I input doesn’t match what UMB has on record, even though the data is input exactly as it reads on my bank statement. Hopefully, someone at the bank can help but I’m not holding my breath; this is day 3 of the bank NOT getting back to me. UMB bank communications have been seriously lacking since they took over the previous bank. They tell you to call this phone number, then that phone number and then the local branch goes right to voicemail and an actual human never calls you back. I think it’s time for a new bank if I can find one that actually answers the phone. ### 1/5 — Fix your app *2026-08-13, version 7.0.260100* At some point yall had an app update which is now causing the app to not load the account information, this causes your customers to have to hard close the app MULTIPLE TIMES hoping the next time they open the app they will be about to see their account information which typically doesn’t work. Fix your app!! This has been going on for too long! ### 1/5 — Unable to login *2026-08-10, version 7.0.260100* I have an HSA with this company. I’ve never been able to login using this application. I don’t like this company because the tech is poor. Separately, it takes a full 3 days for a buy order to complete on the HSA investing tool. Why? I can’t time any purchases due to such an extraordinary lag. Why am I also only able to invest in very narrow windows if I set it to be automatic? Why not at least let me set it to every two weeks to keep it consistent with my paycheck schedule? After reading through many of the reviews, you begin to see a recurring pattern of poor technology. I don’t like using this company’s services, but my work gets to choose who they want us to use. I’ve reloaded it several times; went to the bank and told them about it and they suggested perhaps I needed a new phone…so I went out and bought an iPhone 17. Put UMB on it and still have the same problem. It shouldn’t be hard. But UMB system is so horrible I couldn’t. I spent a while on several occasions working to login or create an account. But it puts me in an endless loop. When I try and set up an ID it says I have an account and need to login. When I say forget ID it says I need to enroll. I contacted service weeks ago. I got maybe a paper response in the mail (or maybe that was sent standards since everyone has trouble? No idea) that doesn’t even have the up to date info with how their website is set up. I wouldn’t even go with UMB if I knew it’d be such a headache! So what did I do? Paid by phone. Never have I ever! ### 1/5 — Good way to watch fraud *2026-04-24, version 7.0.51001* When the fraud is coming from your own bank. When my bank switched its name to “UMB” I was already ready to pull my money out and put it in my other bank. When they changed to UMB I thought maybe this company is different. But no. Thanks to this app you can actively watch them clear purchases and then switch them around the next day so that they can charge you overdraft fees. I have a screenshot from yesterday where my balance was positive due to my deposit and now they went down and tacked on 2 overdraft fees (attached to nothing by the way). For example I watched them clear a $2.35 vending machine charge and then 2 days later, put that at the top of my charges, causing an overdraft fee. Is this app good? Yes. Because you can actively watch them take your money and how they are doing it. Is UMB any good? No. They play the same games that my other bank played to steal your money. It was working fine until a few days ago and was rock solid. Now it fails regularly. It seems like something this important should have 24/7 tech support. If I call after hours the line is answered but say I have to call during “regular” business hours. It usually starts working again but only for a couple of days and then fails again. I keep a large amount of money (to me) in the bank and don’t want to switch banks, but I need something reliable. I can’t use a mobile app that fails all the time. Can UMB make this reliable again? I’m almost ready to trash the app and try something else. UPDATE: This was all a misunderstanding on my part. I don’t mind admitting when I make a mistake.
