Umbra is a private chat for your inner circle — not a social network.

• No account — no phone number, no username to search
• QR-only contacts — add people in person, face to face
• End-to-end encrypted — only you and your contact can read messages
• No chat storage on our servers — history stays encrypted on your device
• Wake notifications — we send a ping to wake the app, not your message text

Free includes up to 5 contacts — enough for your closest friends.
Umbra Pro (one-time purchase, no subscription): unlimited contacts, App Lock, encrypted contact backup, and more.

Umbra does not sell ads. We do not read your chats. Delete messages anytime.

For privacy, Umbra does not host a global friend directory. If you delete the app without a Pro backup, you will need to scan QR codes again. Force-quitting the app may delay notifications until you reopen Umbra.
