The United Nurses of Alberta app connects nurses with their union. This app provides direct links to breaking news, collective agreements, resources, UNA events, and more. With access to DMS, members with UNAnet accounts can update their contact information, submit Expense Claims and LOA Requests, Professional Responsibility Concern forms, and Occupational Health & Safety forms; and Local Executives can do informational searches of their members and duespayers. Local Executives and committee members can also manage Expense Claims and LOA Requests, as well as PRC and OH&S forms. Members with UNAnet accounts can also have an electronic version of their UNA Membership Card right in the app! Optional push notifications provide updates on the status of expense claims, leaves of absence requests, submitted PRC and OH&S concerns, and other related items. I have found it frustrating to update personal information. The News section now contains both the latest News stories as well as upcoming Events. With these changes to the app: • the general public can view the list of upcoming events • Members and Local Execs who are signed into the DMS section can register themselves (and others, where applicable) for upcoming events • UNA Staff who are signed into the DMS section can register people for upcoming events • users with Event Manager or Attendance Manager access to an Event can use the Sign In Sheet to manage attendance, including signing people in by scanning QR codes from UNA Membership cards Also new: • under the Home section of the DMS tab, Members can now specify their Personal Attributes for use across the system. Currently this comprises Diet Restrictions and Accessibility needs which are taken into account in the Events module. Note: iOS 17.5 or newer is now required to run the app. ### 3.3 — 2026-03-11 UNA Events are now available in the app!
