## What is Unbought?

Supplement scores nobody paid for.

  The supplement industry spends billions on marketing. Almost none of it on quality. Most products are never independently tested. Labels routinely list ingredient forms
  that barely absorb, doses too low to do anything, and blends designed to hide what's actually inside.

  Unbought grades supplements on four things that actually matter:
  
  THIRD-PARTY TESTING (35%)
  Was this product verified by NSF, USP, Informed Sport, or Labdoor? Or did the company just test it themselves?

  INGREDIENT FORMS (30%) 
  Magnesium oxide is cheap and absorbs poorly. Magnesium glycinate costs more and works. Cyanocobalamin is the bargain form of B12. Methylcobalamin is what your body actually
   uses. Unbought knows the difference.
  
  DOSE TRANSPARENCY (20%)
  If a label says "Proprietary Blend 450mg" without telling you how much of each ingredient is inside, that's a failing grade. Full disclosure only.

  CONTAMINATION & SAFETY (15%)  
  Real-time FDA recall alerts. Contamination flags from independent lab databases. If your supplement has been flagged, you'll know.

  • Smarter AI estimates: when a product isn't in our database yet, the AI now returns a full ingredient-level breakdown alongside the grade, not just a letter.
  
  • Better recall matching: FDA recall detection now catches product synonyms — CoQ10 matches Ubiquinol recalls, Fish Oil matches EPA/DHA recalls, Ashwagandha matches KSM-66
  recalls.  

  • Dose timing guide: My Stack now shows when to take each supplement and why (with food, morning vs. evening, interaction notes).
  
  • Accessibility: full VoiceOver support added across all screens, including grade announcements, filter chips, and ingredient comparison rows.
  
  • Bug fixes: scan history no longer shows duplicate entries for AI-estimated products. Export button now works correctly for history CSV.
