The highest rarity ones, not the feeder heroes. Not everyone can spend $50 on the chance of getting the hero they want. I get that this is an idle game and whatever you get is what you get but come on man its ridiculous how often I get the same few heroes. I enjoy this game, but it could really use some method of trade ins. I would suggest doing 2, lets say HIVE heroes for 1 HIVE or you can have it random. I dunno, let us have something it would make for better team play and not everyone using the exact same heroes in ranked. ### 4/5 — Great game *2022-06-26, version 1.16.4* I would like to have chances to fight people in PvP I can actually beat though, I have players millions less in power that absolutely destroy me. I don’t care if I hardly get any points, I just want to get my daily missions done without losing because I have nothing I can defeat. The Gungnir and Altered for example are absurdly rare drops. I haven’t gotten a Damon since a little after starting the game months ago, there are brand new characters that I still haven’t gotten, etc. Midtown is absurdly hard. I am winning quite easily one moment, the next I lose a character or two, try to find a revive station, never see it, lose everyone else, please change it back. Having a fun and exciting game that is full of possibilities is exactly what we are aiming for!!! ### 4/5 — Fun but late game slows down a lot *2022-05-24, version 1.14.14* I’ve put in a lot of hours since launch and it’s kinda feeling like it’s slowing down a lot and that’s kinda pulling my interest off of it. The plus is that the game gives you a lot to work with and a lot of rewards. A down side the purchases are very overpriced for how little a chance you get to even draw a single useful thing so I’m strictly FTP because it’s just not worth nearly what they want for it. So stay away from there In app purchases but the game is totally playable without them. The DEVS also need to chance how the pvp system works, it’s fun but the rewards are so minimal that it’s not worth the effort of bothering with it. I agree with 95% of the above reviewers. Overall, I rave about this game! The storyline, the character development, gear acquisition & advancement. The game itself has a 5/5 rating in my mind. However, even if you do pay to advance in the storyline, the margin of advancement diminishes over time, meaning, pay MORE each time to advance in the storyline. Mostly my gripe is about the cheaters in PvP; please cancel them, please? They wreck the system for those of those trying to advance by the rules. Thanks for listening! ### 4/5 — Unironically pretty good *2022-01-24, version 1.8.6* Listen I’m your average fellow on the iphone, i see a cool looking ad, I download. 95% of the time I download an arcade game or an idle game, i delete the next day. because either A: the ad lied about what the game actually is or B: the game is bad/pay to win. although you could make the argument this game is pay to win, it is NOT bad. This game is legitimately fun, and it has an amazing progress system that makes it actually feel like you’re leveling up consistently and gaining constant reward. It’s like a dopamine hit anytime you play because you think you’re actually winning with all the stuff there is to do. there is a fairly considerable learning curve, if you’re only used to the simple idle games, but i guarantee you there will always be something to do or to play and have fun in this app. definitely would recommend! **Developer response:** Thanks for the thorough review! Graphics If you are looking for a cartoon style idle game, this is the one for you! I really enjoy the animations and the consistency with the textures of the game. 2. Playability The interface is easy to understand. Simple and streamlined. As long as you’re not in a rush to be numero uno, you don’t need to pay for gems or anything. However, it does help the experience if you do. Overall, I believe this game is 5/5 stars!! **DEV SUGGESTION** One small suggestion that I wish to make is to allow for those who are doing Raging Rumble to swap their team composition without having to under and redo the teams. Multiple characters with back stories and well thought out specials and development. Campaign mode along with several mini games that keeps you hooked daily. It does include micro transactions but your not feeling underwhelmed in order to proceed. This has a unique music, gameplay and art style to it that is very appealing. Highly recommend if you like this style of game but more walking dead style oppose to monster hunting. The community is awesome and supportive. The draws are reasonable. I love you don’t have to smash in the screen to play moves. I like being able to watch what all the characters are doing and to take in the breath and detail of this game. Very entertaining, lots to do! ### 5/5 — A super fun game! *2021-12-03, version 1.6.9* This game is pretty awesome! Gameplay is fun and easy plus the graphics and art style is superb! It’s a great game to play when in a waiting room or on the subway and when you’re not playing you are rewarded through the idle system. The characters are cool with great thought put into their backstories along with the different factions; I personally favor the Hive. I would like to see more characters added in the future. I’m so happy to have finally found a game that doesn’t require you having to spend your real money on every little thing. It’s such a fair game and you can fairly earn rewards that keep you motivated to play on. I’ve bought a couple things using real money in the game but that’s because I wanted too. Some games make it impossible for you not to have to spend your real money. This game is a winner and I can tell the developers are very passionate about it. ### 5/5 — Click click Boom *2021-11-23, version 1.6.6* I’m not one to write many reviews for games, I lost my faith in F2P games on phones long ago, But man this game is great! It’s also a generous game! I support developers so I’ve spent about $15 total and have probably gotten about $60 worth of items already, The story is funny and challenging, Character leveling up is easy to understand and a breeze, So many things to do, Events here and there so it NEVER feels boring or like a chore! One of the very few gems in the App Store for me ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ripped off *2022-07-14, version 1.18.1* Hello everyone I play this game regularly I like it but after the game glitched and caused one of my four purchases to not come through I reached out to undead and was called a liar and nothing was resolved totally waste of money and time I’ve put into this game oh well I’ll take my money and time elsewhere Update- I did reach out to the devs and was called a lier she stated I received all items I asked for proof as I was asked the same thing and she sent me a survey as if the problem was resolved still ripped off over here ### 1/5 — Fun while it lasted *2022-02-04, version 1.10.5* played this game for 6+ months and had fun, but it starts to show its warts at a high level. there’s an insurmountable paywall in the campaign, almost nothing to do once you hit said wall, and the cost of upgrading heroes is outrageously high compared to other idle games (afk arena, mla, mythic heroes etc). events have been terrible, and the latest $70 skin pack (lmaoooooo) signals they’re getting ready to shut down the game and just trying to milk as much as they can at the last minute. don’t waste your time ### 1/5 — Promising game with ridiculous pricing *2022-01-28, version 1.10.4* This game would’ve gotten a good review from me if this last event didn’t add even more horribly priced micro transactions, if they could even be called that. At the quantity some packs are it’s more like macro transactions. This new event had skins to unlock, you participate and unlock them. Come to find out you unlock the OPPORTUNITY to purchase them with real money. 70 dollars for a skin and some diamonds? Are you insane? A skin in a mobile game is the same price as a AAA console game? and that’s just the first tier!? A New mobile game is supposed to bring people in, and you’re pricing it like your game is running out of content? It’s scummy. Reconsider even playing if this first event will be anything like the rest. There are better fairly priced mobile games elsewhere. **Developer response:** Thanks for your review. Whether you prefer F2P or choose to make optional purchases to enhance your gameplay, we encourage you to play in a way that works for you. ### 1/5 — New update *2022-01-26, version 1.10.1* This new event is literally not rewarding at all for F2P players. it seems if you want to progress in this event, instead of doing good on the event and consistently being active the only way towards the rewards that are actually good is by spending money. This is not fair to the majority of players that play free or are light spenders on the game. It’s already bad enough the game caters towards heavy spenders and they get the average over others that our week into the game. The only thing separating a new heavy spender to one that’s been playing two months now and has been F2P is their level and level is meaningless in this game ### 1/5 — Nothing works *2021-10-19, version 1.4.38* I just got this cause I thought the characters looked cool and I can’t play the game. I logged in with Apple and started the tutorial which was just the first level. Finished the level and couldn’t press anything on screen so I closed the game and opened it to see it was on level two. Played level two and same thing, can’t press anything on screen so I had to close the app and open it again. Now I’m level 4 but I’m stuck because I have to level up my characters which I can’t do because I can’t press anything on screen. Thought the game looked cool but it’s acting pretty trash rn tbh. ### 2/5 — Kind of Boring *2023-01-14, version 1.24.10* I’ve been playing this game for a couple days now and I already found it boring. I know it sounds biased but I have my reasons. First is the character designs. I’m not sure if they were going for pretty much regular people but if they were they hit the nail on the head. I never really felt an excitement to do 10 draws in the gacha part because none of the character designs really stuck out to me and they’re all pretty plain looking. I didn’t see anyone that looked like they really had a backstory based on their design. The next thing is the visuals. The home/front page isn’t very fun to look at and I wish it were easier to navigate. There’s multiple pages you can go to where you can do tasks and get rewards, but it’s not very easy to find them and sometimes I could only find some if I had clicked a different one and went from there. Then there’s the items. I feel like none of the items I was getting were explained during the tutorial and I kept getting tokens which I had no idea what they were used for as well as a few other items. The things I really did like however, were the voice lines of the characters (they all fit very well and aren’t poorly done at all) and the fighting visuals. It’s a bit confusing to watch them fight especially when they move around and there’s a whole mob of zombies, but I enjoyed how it looked all together. **Developer response:** Hello, Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience while playing Undead World! The art style is charming and classy. I love zombie games but it’s hard for mobile games to hit the head on the nail when it comes to zombie games, but these guys did it. Awesome game 10/10. Need more characters thoe 😂😂 is anyone else having trouble buying the return player pass? I can’t seem to purchase? I didn’t level it up all the way just to lose it.. 3 stars now ### 3/5 — Seems like it’s getting less F2P friendly *2022-02-05, version 1.10.5* I really like this game and have actually spent some money on it. But recently you introduced skins to the game. I thought they all were going to be free if I grinded for them. But the one I really wanted, which was Britney, cost $70! For a skin. I know development costs but it seems like every option in the game should be able to be gotten without paying. ### 3/5 — Good idea with inconsistent execution *2021-11-28, version 1.6.9* I appreciate the diversity of heroes and the thought it can take to defeat some of the levels, but it’s really frustrating when you work your way up to rewards that say they contain the highest rarity hero but then often only have the middle rarity. It sort of feels like you’re being lied to, and even if they only have a high chance of containing the highest rarity hero, some kind of odds should be supplied. Otherwise I lose trust. There’s also behavior/bugs here and there such as Webster’s “ultimate” skill not appearing to work after he’s upgraded. I’m not sure what’s going on with this developer. It could be poor descriptions, or bugs, intentional watering down of rewards, or some combination. The game play is fun and will keep you entertained for 30-60 minutes per day. The drop rates for heroes is really poor. I wouldnt mind dropping 5-10 bucks a week for fun, but the prices dont make any sense. The level up rewards or event sales are always 20-25 dollars. Thats nuts for how little you get for the money. Ill just stay F2P and dink away until I get bored and quit, like most people in the guilds Ive been in. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best of the Idle RPGs *2023-02-16, version 1.26.0* I’ve played a bunch of the “Idle RPG” titles in the last few years. I still play Undead World because after a year I feel it’s not another money grab. The amount of in game currency that is rewarded/earned regularly is fair and other games should follow this system. I also like the price of buying anything with real money is so insanely expensive I just don’t even consider so imo top tier or the genre. ### 5/5 — One of my mobile favorite games EVER *2023-02-16, version 1.26.0* I tend not to write reviews, but this games needs the love. This game have variety, doesn’t beat you over the head with ads, gems comes generously just by doing basic tasks, and the hero’s actually look and feel unique. I’ve been playing this game for a few months now and it’s become a daily thing. This game is awesome! ### 5/5 — Loving it so far. *2022-08-06, version 1.18.1* I have to agree with some of the other reviews I’ve seen. The devs are definitely very generous with the gems and their leveling up system is very easy unlike other games I’ve played(Stranger Things:Puzzle Tales). The only complaint I have is regarding the medics for the Blue Banshees and Collegium(Meredith and Lita). I have them both leveled up to “Legendary” class and they are next to useless. Almost all of my teams are at “Legendary” and are able to handle enemies way above their level due to the effectiveness of the medics. There are updates and improvements coming soon! ### 5/5 — The Best Idle RPG on iOS *2022-07-23, version 1.18.1* I’ve spent a lot of time playing games like this over the years, as F2P and also P2W. So I know how the difference feels. Undead World strikes a good balance. This game is *very generous* with gems, and you can gain VIP points for free too. Fodder heroes cannot be the epics you get from 10 pulls (HUGE plus), and there is a lot of variety in content. Fighting hordes *and* character teams in PVE. Build diversity means something more than “use these 5 meta heroes”. If you’ve played other games like this you get the frustration that comes with devs trying to force you to spend money through rigged systems to make you feel unsatisfied. Undead World just isn’t like that. Everything seems fair. Of course spending is going to speed up the process and if you care about competing in pvp you’re going to need to pay for it - but for a fun, relaxing idle RPG that values your time, I don’t think you are going to find better on the App Store. The only problem I have is that it pushes too many advertisements for in game purchases. There is so much to do and the side quests like driving your car through herds is innovative. It’s fun, unobtrusive and fair! It’s completely playable and you can stay competitive and leveling up without spending any money - and if you do want to spend a little, it feels like your choice rather than something you MUST do in order to continue to advance or compete. You don’t run out of energy or lose everything when you sleep in the arenas (like some games where you go down in rankings as you lose pvp matches as a defender.) Updates are done at the right pace, the characters are fun and skills are fairly balanced and you ALWAYS have something to do. I did notice some misspelling of words in hero indexes and the prices of diamonds are expensive (but currently I could understand why.) So no matter what issues the game has, it is awesome I want more heroes and I need to know more about the lore! The lore seems interesting because some dialogue say things like This is for Sid and there’s so much more including Biotech preforming experiments on heather and so many others becoming the altered! There’s a lot of great updates coming soon so stay tuned! ### 5/5 — love this game! *2021-12-27, version 1.8.6* this is by far my favorite “idle” mobile gacha game i’ve ever played, and i’ve played a LOT of them. the gameplay is fun, fast, and fair. the devs are incredibly generous with the freebies they send to your inbox, too! ads for the game were not misleading and i adore the surprisingly diverse, well-thought-out (for the most part) cast of playable characters. the tutorials the game gives you are not invasive and are pretty short, so you won’t feel like the game is “holding your hand” (which is an issue i’ve encountered somewhat often in similar games). great for casual and more serious players alike. the ingame community is great, and i haven’t encountered any unpleasant or “toxic” players throughout my adventure at all. and the voice work and art is wonderful! on a personal note, i usually play at night (just a few levels before bed), and the game really helps in curbing my nighttime anxiety for some reason. i don’t know why it’s able to do that for me, but i’m appreciative nonetheless. so thanks for that, guys :,) the only gripe i have with undead world is that i think the text in some places is difficult to read, mainly in the story bits before certain battles. i think the game would benefit from slightly bigger or bolder text. i love this game. definitely check it out if you get the chance! **Developer response:** Wow, what a recommendation!!!
