## What is UnderRose?

Stay close to the people who matter.

UnderRose brings private messages, photos, voice and video calls together in one app. Talk with family, catch up with friends, and share everyday moments with end-to-end encryption and no advertising.

DIRECT CONNECTIONS
UnderRose is designed to connect your phone directly to the other person’s phone whenever possible. When a direct connection isn’t available, a relay carries your end-to-end encrypted call.

YOUR CIRCLE, YOUR CHOICE
Add people by invitation or QR code. There’s no public directory of strangers. No phone number, email address or password is required.

MESSAGES AND PHOTOS
Send messages, react with emoji, and see delivery and read indicators. Share a photo from your library or take one in the app. Save, share, copy, or forward photos when you choose.

VOICE AND VIDEO CALLS
Enjoy private one-to-one voice and video calls. See when your call connects directly between devices.

PRIVACY BUILT IN
End-to-end encryption protects the content of your messages and calls. Your contacts and conversation history stay on your device. You control app permissions and can delete local history. Block or unblock contacts to control who can reach you.

BUILT TO KEEP PEOPLE CONNECTED
Resistance to censorship and blocking is a development priority for UnderRose. We keep improving reliability so people can stay in touch across borders. Availability still depends on your network and local restrictions.

INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT
UnderRose is built by a small, independent team supported by its users. Optional contributions help development and never unlock additional messaging, calling, or privacy features.

UnderRose requires an internet connection, and both people need the app. It is not intended for emergency calls.
