## What is Undertone?

Undertone understands your mood based on your Screen Time, sleep, movement and even music, and helps you improve it - sometimes by suggesting which apps to block, and sometimes by highlighting the ones that make you feel better. Over the weeks you see how your phone use shapes how you feel and learn how to change this. And the best part: it's all worked out privately on your device.

UNDERSTAND YOUR MOOD
- A mood word for today, with every reason behind it: social running late, a short night, a downcast playlist
- Trends over a week, a month and 90 days that show which patterns come with each mood, like doom scrolling or night-time escape (Personal+)
- A written reflection on your week (Personal+)
- Ask about your own history, like "Which days felt calmest this month?", answered by Apple Intelligence on your device

FOR FAMILIES (FAMILY+)
- Link your child's phone and see their mood word and patterns, never their messages or app minutes
- They see exactly what you see, and can ask you for a gentler evening
- Pause chosen apps on their phone. Apple's Declared Age Range sets their age band

SHIFT IT
- Lock the app groups that aren't helping until you've spent real time in books, podcasts or meditation
- An evening wind-down, a Focus filter and a Control Center control
- A suggestion you can act on right now, and a farewell for streaks you're ready to let go

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Undertone reads minutes from Apple's Screen Time and never sees what happens inside an app
- Health, Music and calendar are optional, read on your device and never sent to us
- The weekly reflection may use Apple's Private Cloud Compute
- No ads, no analytics SDKs and no account to create

Undertone is a wellbeing tool. It isn't a medical device. Apple Intelligence features need a supported device and language.
