Pop up ads are way too numerous. Drop rates are iffy. Allow to buy and remove ads, upgrade or change layout or base, so that instead of straight down, it’s more open and accurate to real concepts. Cubes and clothing have a problem, and drop rates need to be beefed up a little so more happens (five runs on one map for two item drops was not fun to wait for). ### 3/5 — Ads Ads and more Ads *2021-09-03, version 1.8.9* Fresh ideas but basically the same shelter defense game. You can play your own expeditions which is cool. Some rpg elements here and there. Really liked it at first and knew there had to be a catch and than the ads showed up. Open a chest? Ad Want an item for expedition? Ad Need healed on expedition? Ad Finish an expedition? Ad So many ads and it’s the usual timed ads but than they force you to tab out to the google store. Certain ads dont give you the x to close the ad forever either. So you have to close game and reopen. They also make the x hitbox extremely small which makes it tab between the ad and the store repeatedly. At some point you realize you’re spending more time in ads than the game. Not really my idea of gaming but to each their own. I have the feeling most people won’t spend much time in this game. If a game is going to push ads, they need to make sure the ads don’t freeze the game and cause progress and time to be lost. Fix the bugs and the game is a 5-star. Every time I finish a mission and the “Requesting Ads” freezes, it makes me lose all my loot. This is frustrating. Half the time it won’t let you do anything. It seems really ridiculous to use my in order to change the cloths. Although it is a bit tedious the game rewards you for playing. ### 3/5 — Needs major work *2019-06-27, version 1.6.7* I do actually love this game, it is very much like fallout simulator, although I have a few problems, the first is those ads, I have to close when I first start the game. Secondly, the game drains my battery pretty quickly. Just started and did 4 exploration (each ones takes around 1-3 minutes) and 2 of those where a waste as it required an ad to finish and the game kept loading saying requesting ad. That was 50% of the time being wasted and redoing stuff. (IPhone X and IOS 12.2) ### 1/5 — Server Issues and crashes *2019-01-20, version 1.5.5* ETA 1/20: Same crash, different update (1.5.5). Web server errors are worse. I can’t even send the people I want out on expeditions because I don’t know if the game will crash and never let me go out. Collecting ANY gift now crashes the game. Everything involving the shelter has to be done twice—once for the web server error and again to ACTUALLY DO THE TASK! Participating in events is a joke when you can’t even PLAY the expedition. But ads still work just fine! Deleted the game. One day, when the bugs have been squashed, I’ll come back, but for now, I’m out. ETA 1/14: These issues are from the current version 1.5.4 (as I noted in the first line below)! Nothing has changed, except the Web server status errors have increased. Unplayable in v. 1.5.4. Decided to keep a list of all the crashes/issues in one 30 minute window: 1. Can’t claim daily gift without crashing 2. Any time I want to open a random menu = crash (once while clicking mission book, once while going to map to head out on expedition) 3. Try to remove a cured mutant from infirmary? He’s not a mutant! Remove him by tapping X? Now the room suddenly doesn’t exist! 4. Upgrading any floor gives a web server error the first time. The second time it always magically works. 5. Watch an ad = crash. 6. Watch an ad in the middle of an expedition? Crash and then lose EVERYTHING YOU EARNED. Wanderer returns to base with absolutely nothing in their inventory and the game gets your ad revenue. In fact, go on any expedition? Crash. No using that wanderer anymore! While I love the art, this isn’t my idea of a fun time.
