I want this to work, but so far it isn’t. It isn’t disabled in the app or on the browser (where I need it disabled). I don’t want to have to be in this app to view content, I thought this was a browser extension.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the honest feedback. UNDOOMED isn't a browser extension — iOS doesn't allow modifying other apps or Safari that deeply. It works as a distraction-free client: open Instagram/YouTube inside UNDOOMED itself. We know that's a different workflow than expected; if you try it that way and hit issues, tell us at support@undoomed.app.

I just got the plus plan and it barely does anything, I don’t want appearance change or graphs for screen time I just want to get rid of reels option. If I want to upgrade to pro it’s making me pay 17 again not transfer. Also I set time limit for doomscrolling and it doesn’t work. Overall tbis app hides reels and more if you want but there is a distracting triangle and you can easily turn on the reels. I would prefer a hard block, and there is no option.

The Plus-to-Pro upgrade not carrying over your payment is something we need to sort out directly rather than in a review reply, please email contact@undoomed.app with your purchase details and we'll fix it. The time-limit bug is good to know too, more detail there, device and iOS version, would help us reproduce it.

Absolutely loving this app so far! I wanna congratulate the creator for making exactly what I, and I’m sure others have been looking for! I’ll be sure to share with ppl, gotta get the word out!

That being said, there are a few minor bugs that should be fixed. For one, sharing a reel or post doesn’t work at all, it’s as if anything that is a “pop up” doesn’t appear. So that’s the same for sending gifs or stickers, which is a little annoying. Other than those two I think everything is really well made. Of course, it’s still a little laggy, but I’m sure that will be fixed. Anyway I’m loving it still thank you so much for this.

App is great but when you do “hide suggestions” for instagram, it also hides instagram stories

this is exactly what i need. reels & suggest posts blocked, while still being able to dm people and see the reels they send. however the app is glitchy and slow, sometimes deletes my messages before i send them, i cant select multiple photos for a post, sometimes i cant view stories, etc. this app would be perfect if everything worked smoothly.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the detailed feedback, messages being deleted before sending and multi-photo selection are both real gaps in the web version we're working through, and stability keeps improving update by update. This has been extraordinarily effective and more so than any equivalent app purporting to the same.  This is because it allows you to keep the essential bits eg instagram messaging while disabling the addictive parts eg reels.

I was hating YouTube shorts with a burning passion. And so thankful I can use YouTube again on my phone without having to deal with that!

I wish it let audio work in the background. I have YouTube premium. But still I’m so thankful!

I have been looking for a solid year for anything that can block shorts and help with mindless internet use. It’s sad that Apple doesn’t have customization like that but this app saved my life. My only issues is that going between IG and YouTube logs you out no matter what and logging in is annoying

Turned on the filters and it doesn’t do anything. Which makes sense, it never asked any permission to control my other apps, so I don’t know how it would be able to work with them. Bummer.

**Developer response:** Sorry for the confusion — UNDOOMED can't modify other apps (iOS doesn't allow that). Instead, it *is* the app: open Instagram, YouTube or Facebook inside UNDOOMED and you get them without Reels, Shorts or the endless feed. Does not work. Appears to be a scam. They do not respond to emails.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had this experience, and sorry if an earlier email went unanswered, that shouldn't happen. Undoomed works by opening Instagram/YouTube inside the app itself rather than modifying the native apps, which trips people up if they weren't expecting it. Please try contact@undoomed.app again, we do read and answer every message.

I’ll start with what I do like:
- Design of the app
- HUB for different social media apps
- Custom filter options

What I don’t like:
- Navigation in Reddit is pretty bad. Back sometimes just doesn’t work at all
- Adblocking in Reddit is pretty bad. You still see partial ads sometimes or interruptions in comments where there’s just empty space and the ads username like “anker_official”
- Twitter it just signed me out completely when I applied the “Hide promoted posts” filter
- Twitter seems to not remember you are signed in
- Twitter there’s a ton of posts where content isn’t showing properly

Dropped my rating, I’m not sure how anyone is using this in its current state long term. It breaks way too often. Trying to do something simple as a reply just won’t work consistently

So this app is amazing and has definitely helped me stop doom scrolling and being on socials refreshing all the time!

I have a couple issues which is just how the socials operate, but I believe it’s some things out of the Devs controls.

I would however love to see a bypass for sending messages to sellers on Marketplace without the ‘Download the app’ prompt.

Other than that everything has been amazing!

This is something I’ve been searching for a very long time. I’ve been using opal but I’m completely switching to this! Fantastic idea to incorporate the website versions into this app itself! Fantastic work dev you’re truly helping people save there time.

Short form content is my kryptonite. I’ve been attempting to manage it for years but I can’t do it, but deleting everything altogether isn’t my top choice. I found this app via a Reddit comment and promptly found it’s everything I wanted: a way to get rid of short form video while still letting me access other parts of the app. And the price is so reasonable. 

My biggest fear is that this won’t get enough traction and shut down, so I’m writing this review to support!

I’ve tried so many different ways to stop my scrolling addiction, and this app is one of the first things that actually feels like it could work. It solves a real problem by letting people keep access to useful communication without getting pulled into endless feeds.

The one major feature that would make it almost perfect is notifications. Since the value of the app is that it preserves access to contacts, not knowing when someone messages you removes an important part of online communication.

That said, it’s clear the developer is putting serious work into this. If the app keeps improving, it could genuinely become something that changes people’s lives and helps them regain control over their attention. Just be careful — the tech giants might come after you.

좀 불편한게 만ㄹ음 게시물 여러개 넘겨서 안봐지고 디엠하면 마지막 글자가 자동으로 쳐짐 예를들어서 안녕 이라고 보내고 뫄뫄뫄 라고 보내고 싶으면 안녕 보내는것 까진 문제 없음 근데 이 다음이 문제 녕뫄뫄뫄 이렇게 마지막글자가 자동으로 쳐짐..한번만 볼 수 있는 사진도 안봐지지~ 좀 불편 근데 좋은점도 많아여 릴스 안볼수 있고 좀 스스로 통제가 ㄱㄴ한느낌

UNDOOMED strips Instagram (and other apps) of everything wrong with social media and leaves just the features you need. I would have deleted Instagram a long time ago if it weren’t for group chats that I don’t want to be left out of, but every group chat check would inevitably lead to 15-30 minutes of scrolling. UNDOOMED removes the explore button entirely while still allowing access to the core features of the app, all completely for free. It’s a much better solution than any of the other glorified screen time control apps. Two notes:

1) On Instagram, turning off suggestions currently turns off stories as well. It would be nice if this could be decoupled since I hate suggested posts but like seeing stories

2) I hope this app can stay free for as long as possible, but I would certainly pay something modest for the core functionality

I love this app because it solved most of pain points when using social media which is Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, and ads. I decided to upgrade to Lifetime for additional features and support the developer. One thing I love about my Instagram feed is that it’s now chronological and it’s only showing the people that I follow. One bug that I want to address is that the Instagram Stories toggle doesn’t work. I would love view Instagram stories without disabling “Hide Suggestions”
