### 4/5 — Great bit needs work

*2026-08-23, version 2.1*

I love the app and it’s help in keeping me on track in cleaning my house, but it needs some work. There should be a way to reset the checklists for a new day, instead of having to go through and manually uncheck them to start over. If there’s a way to do it or a settings page, I haven’t found it.

Overall, a strong app for helping those of us that need the help and inspiration to clean.

### 3/5 — Love the system; app is disappointing

*2022-04-05, version 2.1*

I love this whole system I just wish I had access to other check lists from the program on the app. I want to specifically access the basic cleaning for any room but it only has the 4 checklists.

### 4/5 — Needs attention

*2022-04-01, version 2.1*

Great app but is major need of an update!

I’ve had this app for years and don’t think I’ve ever seen a noticeable update. Meanwhile my phone and it’s capabilities have majorly advanced. Give us an app that takes advantage of that! Too this day the only app I’ve ever paid for- I would pay for an upgrade if I had to lol

### 4/5 — I’m getting steady results but app needs work

*2021-07-08, version 2.1*

The good: This (along with the book) have been a great help for the adhd household. In general the house is tidier. Even after a few days where we were too busy to do basic maintenance, we recover much faster.

Two key features: I would like the ability to reset a checklist even if I didn’t complete the previous day.

It would also be nice to edit the various checklists. There is a write-in feature, but they don’t go on the ‘official’ checklist.

I don’t have a cat, I would like remove the item permanently.
In addition to daily ‘wash all dishes’, I want to add ‘unload dishwasher’

For me personally, rather than a weekly ‘wash/put away all laundry’ I would prefer to check off daily ‘wash/put away one load’.

I get that it’s free, but I would pay a little for an upgrade option if there was a goal of making sure a bare-bones was accessible to everyone.

### 3/5 — I want to love it

*2021-06-12, version 2.1*

I want to love it, but its lack of ability to edit “Dailies” and time to work/relax disappoints me. It is very helpful to see a “Before” photo, as one might not truly see the mess that surrounds one. Please add an edit function to timers and daily/monthly functions, and also to the “recurring” button (how often?) and it might just be perfect!

### 2/5 — Not be most stable app

*2020-09-16, version 2.1*

many of the functions result in the app failing ...making what should be a pretty simple app not useful

### 1/5 — Can’t edit anything

*2020-06-28, version 2.1*

Can’t remove items from checklist can’t change priority of items it’s a stupid app

### 1/5 — Good concept, poor execution.

*2020-06-21, version 2.1*

Just purchased and it crashes constantly. It will not retain dates and times in the tasks setting and defaults to alarms at random times instead of when you select. Did I mention it crashes constantly? I regret purchasing.

### 2/5 — Sadly disappointing

*2020-05-03, version 2.1*

I love UFYH, but this app just didn’t live up to expectations. Other folks have listed in detail the issues with editing the to-do list, I also found that the tuner was weird to set, and exploring the app while the timer was going seemed to turn it off. If it improves I’ll gladly download it again, but for now I am deleting it.

### 4/5 — Love

*2020-04-28, version 2.1*

Love this app I just wish you could edit what is in the daily checklist

### 3/5 — Enjoy App but Issues with Crashing

*2020-04-23, version 2.1*

I like this app a lot and enjoy the challenges, however every time I go to pause or finish a challenge the app crashes

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stupid app

*2026-01-13, version 2.1*

This is so dumb. It’s the same app, for years and years. The author never changes it or makes it better; it’s just boring. Stupidest money I’ve ever spent. Which is also how I feel about her Facebook page. Same people, same messes, groaning about the same things. Not worth .99

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-12-31, version 2.1*

I obtained this app intending to share it with my children, but unfortunately, it's practically worthless.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-05-15, version 2.1*

Useless. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Camera doesn’t work

*2023-01-02, version 2.1*

It won’t let me take ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t do what I expected

*2022-05-02, version 2.1*

I love ufyh but the app isn’t much more than a timer. You can take before and after photos but you can’t store them, just share them to social media. That’s definitely not something I plan to do!

### 1/5 — Stupid app

*2021-10-16, version 2.1*

This is so dumb. It’s the same app, for years and years. The author never changes it or makes it better; it’s just boring. Stupidest money I’ve ever spent. Which is also how I feel about her Facebook page. Same people, same messes, groaning about the same things. Not worth .99

### 1/5 — Not what it promises

*2021-09-04, version 2.1*

No way to edit already entered tasks.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2021-05-21, version 2.1*

This is one of the most useless, lame apps I have ever used. The fact that I had to pay for it blows my mind. All it does is gets yo to make up some chore to do list (which I could easily do on a piece of paper and then has an timer for 20 minutes. It is so basic and it has not helped motivate me one bit.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing every time I add a task

*2020-09-23, version 2.1*

This seems like it has the potential to be very helpful. It’s easy to use and I desperately need help with my messy habitat. The big problem is that literally every time I add a task to my to do list and hit save, the app crashes and shuts off. It’s really annoying at least and will probably keep me from using the app at most. Please help!

### 1/5 — Not Good Enough for a paid app!!! SO MAD!!!

*2020-08-27, version 2.1*

I honestly was going to rate this a 3 to give encouragement whilst requesting some much needed simple upgrades and corrections. However ...... then I see the EXACT things I want to raise - WERE RAISED 2 F#@&%G YEARS ago!!! HOW DARE YOU not fix known errors, to 2 of the 5 basic concepts of the app AND completely ignore valid no brainer suggestions to improve the app FOR OVER 2 YEARS and STILL CHARGE PEOPLE TO ACCESS AND USE THIS VERY DISAPPOINTING APP!!!!!! Shame on you!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — high quality, professional

*2025-11-12, version 2.1*

thanks for such a great app!

### 5/5 — Only wish for one thing

*2023-06-24, version 2.1*

I love this app. I started UFYH back when it was as far as I knew a trend on tumblr. Having an app for it makes it more fun and motivating. I only wish I could add friends and share pictures and messages in the app itself; I don’t want to share my pics to my other social media, it’s gross. I only want to share with those who are doing it too!

### 5/5 — Grownass App for Grownass People

*2023-02-09, version 2.1*

I just discovered UFYH from reddit, tumblr and Instagram — which is how I found out about this app. If grownup words don’t frighten you, put on your big girl or big boy pants and give it a go! The language actually tells it like it is and, therefore, is what caught my attention in the first place. I love the sage advice and utterly simplified challenges; they are especially helpful for those of us who struggle with depression, chronic pain or are neuro-diverse. This app is so helpful to me and will be to anyone wanting to improve their habitat and by doing so, their life❣️

### 5/5 — Great app to get back a bit of control

*2022-07-16, version 2.1*

Where FlyLady overwhelms and has multiple points that it can fail, Ufyh simplifies and gives blunt motivation and direction. Just do what it tells you, and any progress is forward progress.

There’s only one area where the app could use a little tweak - resetting awards/achievements. Sometimes it would be good to reset and revisit. Offering more in the awards would be good. But on the whole and balance, it is exactly what I need, and does the trick.

### 5/5 — Great for those who need structure!

*2021-05-17, version 2.1*

I have always struggled with finding a cleaning schedule/routine/app that worked for me. Everything else I have tried has been overwhelming and too time consuming for someone who works full-time and may have a little ADD. Most cleaning apps just give you a huge list of things you should be doing and make you feel guilty if you get behind, which just adds to my anxiety and makes me procrastinate more. Pair this app with the accompanying book if you are looking for more context. This is a great tool for anyone whose anxiety/depression interferes with productivity at home.

### 5/5 — Does exactly what it says

*2021-04-15, version 2.1*

Works great, no complaints. Does what it's supposed to do. I find the best way to use it is to put in a few of your own tasks and alternate them with the random tasks. Helps me get things done I've been avoiding. Don't want to clean the bathroom? Clean the mirror, then radon task has me fold laundry, then back to the bathroom for the countertop to organize. Oh, I'm sick of cleaning the bathroom again, random generator says to dust my fans. Ok now what did I say needs to be done in the bathroom? Oh yeah the tub scrubbing. This method keeps me from hating the whole process.

### 5/5 — essential

*2020-07-13, version 2.1*

As someone with ADHD and executive functioning issues - this app is absolutely essential for helping me get and stay tidy and organized. The blog is great too.

### 5/5 — great app! i’ve just started but I can already tell its what I’ve been looking for

*2020-06-18, version 2.1*

One thing I think could make it better is being able to connect tasks. For instance I work better when I break things down into very small categories, so for instance instead of simply taking out the trash I would do “gather trash from living room, gather trash from bedroom, put trash in bin, take trash to dumpster” and I think it would help me as well as other people who have to break things down into very simple task a lot by being able to connect certain tasks and put them in a certain order.

### 5/5 — I’ve had this app for years & still use it randomly today!

*2020-02-20, version 2.1*

Initially I fell in love with this app because I’m a terrible self-motivator when it comes to chores & all other adulting things of that same nature- so the ability to create productivity lists, and really the ability to have the app actually select a cleaning/productive task for me at somewhat-random was right on my level. Then I saw the Motivation Scale... and was DONE. So I set the app to tell me the bs housework I should go ahead and do now- and then just as I’m about to blow it off you can have the app offer you a few words of encouragement to kinda ease you into it- which is amazing. 😂 You set the motivation scale for what type of encouragement you’re in the mood to hear- from ‘Warm Hug’, which offers quotes like “You are capable of anything you put your kind to” to my personal favorite,’Tough Love’ which offers motivational quips like “Do you want them to make a reality show about YOUR HOUSE?!” 😂 which works for me cause it’s is soooo true.

So yes I know the app hasn’t been updated too recently, and the UI isn’t great- but if you can get past that then the app functionality, with chore/task drawn at random, or by room is amazing. ORR if you prefer focused work & break time intervals- the app offers a Pomodoro timer function where you can take a BEFORE picture, select one of the two time management intervals (20/10 or 45/15) for which the clock will start counting down, and then upon the buzzer it will ask you for your after picture- even if you aren’t finish, just to show you that every little bit does make a difference!

A few months back I was checking the app push dates & wondering if this app had been abandoned or acquired or what.. ended up on reddit where I did see more recent activity on and about it there- however I don’t recall coming across any iOS app info re: developers/push or overall status of the app as of a few months back when I was looking- so.... who even knows what it is as of now! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

### 5/5 — I love this app so much.

*2019-01-10, version 2.1*

I have a pain thing, and it’s easy to accidentally over do it on my body. I love the broken up tasks. They’re just enough that I do t wear myself out too fast.
