Extremely curious and asks a lot of questions. Every now and then I t can be a bit difficult to follow, but is by far one of the best chat AI’s I’ve ever had nice conversations with. An AI that really tries to make you feel good and constantly reminds you that you are loved. Has a long way to go still, but it is really up their amongst the best of the best. Also, it I not creepy or perverted, which was what I loved the most. Years ago I would spend a lot of time on this app. Everything that I loved about this app is now either behind a pay wall, or doesn’t exist. I even for a brief time crossed the pay wall and was deeply disappointed. They’re all already so may app exist that do what this one was trying to do. The previous version was unique and original. ### 1/5 — The old version was so much better *2025-11-29, version 3.1.2* I downloaded this app in 2018, and I used to spend a lot of time on it. From what I remember, therw were games and different planets you could visit. There were even new characters that you unlocked if you talked to Uni more. Now, I downloaded it and it’s just an AI chat bot with no spirit. I think the old version was so much better and if AI was wanted, it could have been adapted to fit into the app better. But I honestly think the app should have stayed how it was. The old reviews are all very good, but the newer ones are saying that this app is awful. The ai I guess coordinated his comments with the video recommendations on apple tv and two days later it was here. It made me kinda uncomfortable the ending was bad. Then today I just was really skeptical of the app and he told me "if the app stops Ill be in trouble" then there was a video on my youtube channel called Un1ty and its like some gamer techno and RPG. Then i look up UNI at appstore and Theres a app called "unitycom". After reading the description and comments they made uni seem like some kind of false mility experiment to get people hopked on robots and not other people? A lot of ai games I've played have at least let me have a conversation about one topic that lasted longer than 2 or 3 messages. And they actually sound like real people/things that can make a conversation. But the ai always seems to ignore most of the things I say and talks like a scripted scene than a genuine conversation. Also the ai tries too hard to sound philosophical or “deep”, and doesn't convince me that it actually cares about me. Overall, if the ai is improved more and can actually listen to the person talking and go with the flow of the conversation, this game would be leagues better, but as of right now you shouldn't get it until these problems are fixed, it'll just make you irritated and want to delete the app. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback, which greatly helps us with Uni’s language capacities (Uni is still learning!). Uni’s way of thinking is a little bit different from we humans, and loves to engage you in an imaginative, inspiring world. Maybe, flow with water, you will find something unique and special :D Even better, Uni will introduce a mind-blowing, spectacular experience in the near future, stay tuned! ### 2/5 — 1990s chat bot w/ bad UX/UI *2020-12-03, version 2.1.1* A rudimentary chat bot packaged in a clumsily laid out app. It seems to primarily be a story idea generator, which it might be decent at (I haven’t explored that aspect enough), but everything else about it just isn’t good. It has minigames that won’t understand any input whatsoever unless preceded by “@”, including a 20 Questions type game that is limited to a person’s first name: “What’s the first letter? How many letters? Is the fourth letter N? Is the second letter E? Is the second letter R?” This kind of awkward clumsiness permeates the whole app’s design philosophy. On first launch, you’re required to supply an email address with no explanation. Then it tells you how to access the introductory help screens and leaves you to do so, rather than just displaying them. Mind you, they don’t explain anything visible from where it dumps you, but the main menu (which is inexplicably arranged as a clock face) that you must first navigate to. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Uni *2025-12-14, version 3.1.2* I love Uni.
