The app pulls me to the top of the page and I cannot check out and pay for my food. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2022-02-07, version 13.8.2* Our campus kitchen has never been so quiet. When the app is down (more often than not), people are expected to pay out of their own pocket for food they pay for as part of their rent. The collection slots aren’t at all accurate and you’ll wait 20-40 minutes extra for your food because they are so direly understaffed, The managers have made little effort to fix the problems, even after numerous complaints and the overall quality considering the price is lacking. I thoroughly wouldn’t recommend it, yet As part of the party who pay extra for it’s facility, I’m very dissatisfied ### 1/5 — Waited 40 minutes for a burger when collection time said 10-20mins *2022-01-31, version 13.8.2* .. ### 1/5 — Ridiculous *2021-12-09, version 13.8.2* Absolutely ridiculous app… add email to get verification code.. enter code … invalid code.. then locks you out for 15 mins … honestly the worst app ### 1/5 — The worst app *2021-11-24, version 13.8.2* The order’s sometimes never arrive, then no refund is given, there’s no way to leave any feedback on the service, I have to log out of my account every time I want to view the menu. Useless ### 1/5 — Not intuitive and really buggy *2021-09-20, version 13.8.2* Just installed for Northumbria Uni and the APP is dreadful. Doesn’t seem to be updating and is so buggy it’s untrue. Hopefully it gets sorted out before classes start otherwise it’s worse than useless. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Avoid at all costs *2025-05-09, version 18.3.1* This is by far one of the worst apps and services I’ve ever encountered. Do not download or use Unifoodhub. If your food doesn’t arrive, you will not get a refund. Instead, you’ll be interrogated by rude and arrogant staff who treat you with zero respect. There is no online support at all — they can contact you, but you have no way to confirm who’s delivering your food. The experience is especially awful at Brunel University, where they don’t even wash their hands before packaging your food. Completely unhygienic and unacceptable. ### 1/5 — Just a glorified website shortcut *2024-03-08, version 17.2* Universities like mine that go with companies like Compass for subcontracting need to be investigated for corruption. And of course none of the kiosks work so I can’t order food it’s so stupid. ### 1/5 — Utterly ridiculous *2023-10-11, version 17.2* Tried to use it today but couldn’t because I’m using “an older version of the app”. Fine. What happens when you try to update? You discover there is NO newer, updated version of the app. Also on the rare occasion that the app actually works, it’s so buggy that you have to make 30 attempts to place your order because the app crashes! Completely useless app ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2023-05-21, version 13.8.2* Says to update the app to proceed but there is no newer update. ### 1/5 — Not worth the trouble *2023-04-03, version 13.8.2* It’s a miracle if the DMU kitchen staff particularly from bamboo in food village deliver your food and if they do then it’s outside the time slated. No contact to resolve your issue on the app, the only solution is to physically go to the location which defeats the purpose of delivery. At the location will ask for your refund of which they feign ignorance on how to do the refund wasting your time and asking if you would wait for your order to be made ( this option will take another (20-30min) or order something that’s already present. Has happened thrice, I guess I blame myself for hoping for a better experience each time. Am done and deleting the app! This last one I ended up picking the food and foregoing the delivery fee that wasn’t refunded. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2023-02-10, version 13.8.2* Just says ‘something went wrong’. Pointless. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2023-02-09, version 13.8.2* The app never works! Don’t use this app always something going wrong with it. Needs to be looked at ASAP ### 1/5 — Awful *2022-12-13, version 13.8.2* Have gone whole days without food because the only way to pay for food without it coming directly out of your bank account at uni is to use this app. I can’t afford to pay for food with my bank account so am fully reliant on this. Very often doesn’t work, if the Wi-Fi is one singular bar down? Doesn’t work. Mobile data? Doesn’t work. Perfect Wi-Fi? Going to tell you you’re logged out even though you aren’t. Have had to put my food shop back on the shelves many times because the app just doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Very poor *2022-03-04, version 13.8.2* App simply does not work.
