It’s currently down and blaming connectivity, which is not the case. Lazy programming, a the app should be able to tell the difference between a client and server problem. ### 2/5 — PAY someone option crashes *2022-06-28, version 5.0.0* Unfortunately if I want to view payees or transfer funds to payees, the app crashes. I lodged an enquiry and received a response indicating that it is being investigated on the 10th of June and have heard nothing since. ### 2/5 — Still needs improvement *2022-06-28, version 5.0.0* The recent full app redesign has brought one long-missing feature; you can see your actual account numbers now! How? It’s very unintuitive, but you have to tap on the icon for an account while viewing the transaction history. Insane. Everything else about the new app is worse. No other new features. Frustratingly like so many other apps now as well, they want you to sign in with your password, on your passcode protected phone, then create ANOTHER passcode so that you can use Face ID. If you are happy to stick with your banking password then you can’t use Face ID at all. Feels like this update was a waste of member funds. ### 2/5 — Faulty app function for PAY *2022-06-24, version 5.0.0* I am having similar problem to other reviewers re the app crashing when trying to pay someone. Have been on the phone to two very nice UniBank employees who have been unable to solve the problem. It was suggested that it must be something wrong with my phone AND iPad!!!! NO!!! The result was that I would have to use the internet banking system if I want to pay someone. Not really ideal but I hope that there is an update to this app that will stop this problem happening. I want the old app back, please! ### 2/5 — Please pick the low hanging fruit *2022-06-12, version 5.0.0* Works for viewing balances and recent transactions, and doing transfers and BPay. Doesn’t work with Unibank’s own Symantec VIP 2FA security; only works with SMS 2FA. Doesn’t allow pasting into password field 😡 Doesn’t show account numbers so how do we tell someone our account number to receive transfers? Otherwise, it’s functional for the basics. Update for June 2022 app re-design: Still can’t find out my account numbers in the app. New app now allows pasting password to log in. Statements and transaction history are just links to the website. Can’t hide dormant or shared accounts (old app allowed this). Visually unbalanced and lots of wasted space. This re-designed app is worse than the previous one. I’ve stopped using it and I now just use a homescreen bookmark to the mobile banking web page. If i didn’t have such an awesome mortgage rate with Unibank this update would have moved me on. How could it have gotten worse? The previous version worked just fine, I never should have upgraded. ### 1/5 — Worst banking app ever *2022-02-03, version 4.5* Constantly crashes, has the most basic features, I am seriously considering changing banks over this. ### 2/5 — Missing lots of features *2021-11-26, version 4.5* Good app for basic banking functions but there are a lot of improvements which need to be introduced to make this a useful app. Some improvements needed are: filter/find transactions, access to statements, showing full transaction details, various card controls, real time notifications, and showing full account numbers to name a few. ### 1/5 — Plz fix this app *2021-08-12, version 4.4* It would be great to have the ability to cut and paste. See proper account numbers to be able to give people. Be able to search transactions. Be able to actually see balances without it dropping out constantly. I haven’t even been able to transfer money for the last 2 days because of glitches. The access code length and combination required is sooo stupid! It’s so frustrating and I’ve given feedback many times with no results. I downloaded the UniBank app. There’s one button “Get Started” then a ‘Checking updates’ pop up appears, it disappears and returns to original screen with no changes or ability to progress further. So clearly the UniBank IT folks aren’t matching the iOS and Mac updates. Today, just when I needed to check my balance in a queue at a shop, it had stopped recognising my print. So I used my passcode. “An error” occurred. Irritating beyond belief and very stressful! ### 1/5 — Keeps on hanging *2023-03-19, version 5.0.1* I had to delete and Re upload the app a few times as it gives error message. It creates concerns that someone may have hacked the site. Been this way for a year. ### 1/5 — One of the worst User Interfaces I have ever seen *2022-06-26, version 5.0.0* I was hopeful that this app was going to be great. UniBanks marketing dept were certainly pushing it as being fantastic. Maybe I’d be able to use it like I use Bendigo’s app, and be able to return to the UniBank. I’ve been a member since 1979, and was still hopeful that the fantastic service it used to provide would return. As soon as I opened the app, my heart sank : the app did not recognise the fact I was holding my iPad in landscape mode (as is normal on an iPad) and forced it into portrait mode. I was then presented with, what I can only describe as, a picture a a fuzzy Cheshire Cat praying to the god of phones. I pressed on and logged in. Where was the app? I’m used to the rich apps provided by other banks. Ones that show you your accounts, and your last few transactions, in a neat and orderly manner, at a glance, when you first log in I scoured the almost blank page and found a couple of options. This app looked more like a demo, a proof of concept, not a fully functional app. Whilst it runs on the iPad, it’s obviously not designed for the iPad. There’s no flexibility multi device user interface here. Just a barely functional phone app, that runs on the iPad Such a disappointment. Most importantly you can fill passwords and info with copy/paste or from a password manager. Amazing! Frustrations with the new app are fewer and smaller: - you can’t swipe from the left of screen to go back - you have to acknowledge a pop up saying your session timed out when you open the app, hours after your last usage, which is pretty irrelevant ### 4/5 — Getting there *2020-09-14, version 4.2.3* Love the bank, and the app is good, but like previous comments say - it really needs account details easily accessible (and not require webpage login with complex route). Also would really love an iPad compatible version!!
