The dart bots are one difficulty, useless no challenge at all. You can’t have best of 3,5 games etc only one game at a time. Why!?? Practice mode would be great too. Hoping for an update in the near future 🤞🏻 ### 2/5 — App need work *2025-02-01, version 2.3.3* The app badly needs to by updated so that it doesn’t rotate between vertical and horizontal when exiting games. However 7 games is a little limiting and they are similar. Settings aren’t saved for the next time the app is used. Cricket isn’t scored correctly. Stats aren’t saved on players. I like how this interface works withe the board but take a little time to make sure the app and scoring functions correctly after selling an expensive board. ### 3/5 — A lot of potential *2024-02-10, version 2.3.3* Would love some of the family flight club style games like racing, snakes and ladders and the like ### 3/5 — Slowly getting there *2023-02-08* So my son and myself have been really enjoying the smart board, our iPad is just below the dartboard and we have not had any connection issues, this is what i would like to see: 1) UI to work in landscape mode, only changes when you start the game. 2) Difficulty levels for the Robots 3) More fun games, look at the Granboard App 4) Russ Bray app integration, would make it worth a DLC purchase just to here the score played back like the Russ Bray app does ### 2/5 — Viel Luft nach Oben *2023-01-30, version 2.2.1* Die alte App gefiel mir besser. War übersichtlicher und machte weniger Probleme. Wenn ich wieder zurück könnte, würde ich die Alte App weiter benutzen. Die Sounds der neuen App gefallen mir auch nicht. Es wäre toll wenn die Sounds beim Triple, Double oder Bull anders wären als wenn man ein normales Feld trifft. Bitte ändern. ### 2/5 — Still Buggy *2023-01-04* This app has great potential, spoiled by silly bugs… sometimes it will automatically go to next player, sometimes it won’t… very hit and miss… The biggest issue is when you play with an iPad or phone in landscape, it goes back to portrait for the settings and set up of a new game, a simple fix which would make a big difference. Come on, you may even sell more dart boards if you can get this app right 👍 🎯 ### 2/5 — Getting better… *2022-11-24* Please roll out fixes for silly errors before looking at new content. My board is pretty unusable in cricket mode. No response to emails either. Please add option to re-enable the board button to force end of turn. It is so annoying having to press the tiny ‘Miss’ button on you phone each time. Leave it off by default but have it as an option. Thanks The new app release is a welcome enhancement, especially the landscape mode. There are some fundamental floors still remaining though: - it appears the board button no longer has a function as the app detects you have thrown 3 darts and moves or (or you need to tap Miss in the app). A massive improvement would be to allow a player to hit the board button (instead of miss) each time to submit end of throw). - the interface for the killer game could be improved. It really isn’t clear which numbers ALL the other people are unless you get up close and study the board. - an online interface would simply transform this game and I would quite happily pay £5 a month. This would be next level!! - there doesn’t appear to be the option of selecting all numbers for where the board button is.. appears a bit buggy ### 3/5 — Lacking key features. *2022-11-05, version 2.1.34* Works well with the smart dartboard, but as an app does not compare to Russ bray darts app. How hard would it be to add voice calling scores or any sounds? Why is game selection in portrait and game mode in landscape? Confusing if you want to do best of x against another player. Why is the select for playing x01 limited to 101, 301,501,701,901,1001… Stats could be better. ### 3/5 — So close! *2022-08-31* Really good update with improved online play now possible. As noted by other reviewer, removing the auto-complete option where play passes to the next player is a bit of a whiff. It really slows down the pace of play and flow having to manually end the turn and play passing to the next player. Small change like this would easily make this a 4-star review ### 3/5 — One step forward, 2 steps back! *2022-07-21, version 2.1.34* I have had this 6 months and overall it is really good. Annoying thing before the new update was playing against a friend and it not switching player at start of a new leg to alternate for who throws first. They seem to have fixed that in latest update. Good job. Problem no 2 - Still no landscape mode for when streaming to chrome cast on tv in the menus. Unless your in a match, this is really annoying and seems such a simple fix. And lastly with the new update for some strange reason you have removed auto end turn/new player to throw. It’s not even an option anymore. Means after every 3 darts you have to manually press next player, which has killed the app for me. PLEASE CHANGE THIS BACK ASAP YOU HAVE MADE A MASSIVE ERROR REMOVING IT. It’s so close to being perfect in my opinion. But just isn’t while these niggles persist. Hope for a fix soon. Update to response……. Nice to know you have changed the button on the board but it’s the same problem, you have to physically press a button every time when it was perfect before on auto skip. It would also be better to be able to press next player also if someone misses 1/2/3 darts like before too. We know a player has missed a dart Why can’t we just press next player? Why do you now have to press miss button 1/2/3 times and then next player. You have changed something that was perfect for the worse. It’s easy to sort….,…. Bring back Auto next player every 1/3/5/10 seconds or turn it off all as options. And just add the next player button back for when someone misses a dart. Hope you can sort asap, I’ve literally stopped playing now it’s that much of a problem. I will gladly pay the £2.99 subscription too if this gets sorted. Let down by just some basic things you would expect to be included. Only lets you play one leg at a time and does not save data. So annoying that you have to restart after every game if playing the computer as as just replaying does not change who throws first. Be great if you could modify games to make longer, trebles & doubles to cricket etc. Please can you add legs or sets to 501 and save match records & I will charge to five stars. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2022-01-09* The easiest thing that unicorn could have done with the app was to allow other people with the same board is to play each other on the app, and add friends so you can play each other from being in the comfort of their own homes during lockdowns, surly an easy fix for this ### 3/5 — Update fixed many bugs *2021-12-30* After the update most of the issues have been fixed. However the cricket game scores marks incorrectly. For example if you have two 18s and hit a triple 18, the game should close the 18s and score 36 points. However, it just closes the 18 and doesn’t score points. First review: I updated to the new app and half of the numbers on my dartboard are off by one number. I’ve tried rotating the board and resetting the number to the right of the SmartBoard button, but it continues to do the same thing ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2026-02-18* The app is a disappointment because the technology is great but the lack of investment in the app is bewildering as it is really letting the product down and under exploiting its potential. The app currently misses a number of the games available in the entertainment venues and it looks like unicorn are just focussed on the public entertainment space and leaving the domestic market to target. My only complaint now is that the UI still feels very outdated and is missing that modern feel. If this app does not improve soon I will consider moving to a more advanced system. ### 4/5 — Great app *2024-01-21* Could do with someone calling the scores when they’re hit like the Russ bray app, a few more games. Would be nice on x01 to have an option like (speed play) when using the smart board not to push next player and it just skips once all 3 darts are hit. We use the app on an ipad and cast this to the tv for a better experience. It’s terrible that there are no instructions as we had had to figure things out as we go, eg 1) press the button on the board when your go is done and if your dart didn’t hit the actual dartboard 2) magnetise the darts by putting each one into the magnetiser on the board 3) the robots you can play against are actually different difficulty levels (1-9), etc. The app does glitch, but generally we’ve had a lot of fun evenings on this! ### 4/5 — Gut, aber Funktionen fehlen *2021-11-15, version 2.0.50* Endlich ein Update und man kann nun mit 6 Spieler spielen. Sehr gut! 8 Spieöer wären natürlich am besten. Die neue Aufmachung ist auch klasse. Allerdings sieht man nicht mehr die Gesamtpunktzahl die man geworfen hat, wenn man am Zug ist. Sehr schade. Auch konnte man am Dartboard vor dem Update mit dem Button den nächsten Spieler wählen. Der Button geht nun nicht mehr und man muss am Tablet den nächsten Spieler wählen oder lässt es nach einer bestimmten Zeit selber umstellen. Wäre toll, wenn beides wieder mit reingenommen wird.
