However, the Uniden app has disappeared from the Android App Store, and I have only been able to use it on Android devices by transferring the app via Samsung “Smart Switch”, so Android users beware. ### 2/5 — Another Corporation who waste our time and money *2020-04-16* Corporations that want up to purchase there very costly products then fail to give there consumers Adequate updates and continued support. I have a two sets of these G955 at first it was great and then the fixes that kept coming in kept getting worse with the latest update on ios 12 date 2-20 with my device it rendered the email notifications useless I'm one who worry about throwing away items that function and filling our landfills with toxic garbage Im refusing to support companies in the future who operate in this manner security cameras shouldn't need to be thrown out because of age if they work but the company's who fall short on the support on there products should pay a huge environmental tax imo just because they want us to upgrade and they will do the same thing with there next product 🥺 it worked great now it don't it's not because of the hardware they make software to render it useless 🥺😩 ### 3/5 — Unimpressed *2019-09-28, version 1.2.62* Downloaded the latest version and all my settings were gone. I was initially pleased when it asked to send me notifications, which it hasn’t done for most of a year, but then I discovered I’d lost all the connection details to my cameras! It’s going to be a problem to get those details, so I am unimpressed. To make matters worse, I clicked on the support link in the App Store and got “file not found”. Like, are the developers trying to piss off their customers? I’ve already been thinking for a while of scrapping the camera and buying something homekit compatible. Addendum: Notifications are working again. Connection setting reset. Half the point of having a connected camera system is to view the cameras remotely. This app, and all versions of the Guardian apps before it have been so bad they’re totally unusable. I can’t imagine a modern company the size of Uniden not investing more resources in app development. Putting a product out that’s this bad is inexcusable, especially when there are so many smaller companies that have zero issues making video surveillance apps that work. The cameras are decent, but the rest of the system is complete garbage. ### 2/5 — Fix app *2018-07-12, version 1.2.62* I have had my cameras for years and they worked perfectly with the older app. Once I updated it I cannot pick up certain cameras. My computer picks them up so the app is the problem. FIX IT!!! ### 1/5 — Upgrade rendered other cameras useless *2018-06-29* I currently have 4 of the G955 Uniden cameras/system that I was very satisfied with until I upgraded my app on June 26, 2018. Since the upgrade I can only view one camera because it now states that the signal is too low on the other cameras to view. Never had that problem before. Where I can I find the last version I had before I upgraded? I thought I would be optimizing my system by upgrading but it turned out to be a huge mistake. I would appreciate some support Uniden. ### 1/5 — App is every bit as lousy as the product it supports *2018-04-24* I spent about $300 on this terrible system and then another $150 to have it installed. The main base station is obtuse to use, the English translations are poor and the product only works intermittently. Even when I get the components working this app refuses to show the video from the cameras even though it’s show a status of “connected”. Huge waste of money - stay away from this product. ### 1/5 — UNIDEN GUARDIAN 2 APP *2018-04-08* I purchased 12 sets of the G955 a couple years ago for my business. All cameras are within 20 feet of the monitors and worked very adequately until the Uniden Guardian 2 APP was upgraded on Jan 9, 2018. Upon APP upgrading, most of the time I am only able to access camera #1 remotely and I receive a Flashing Low Internet Icon when trying to access cameras 2,3,4 (some 2,3,4 cameras are within 5 feet of the monitor) and then back to camera #1. Therefore, 3 cameras are remotely useless. This APP of Jan 9, 2018 has rendered my good faith purchase of Uniden G955 security camera systems virtually worthless. FYI: I found an extinct iPhone 4+ with the pre-January 9, 2018 APP installed and then my system was back to previously normal on that phone which I do not use. How do I get the the pre Jan 9, 2018 Guardian 2 APP back on my IPhone 5 and other business IPhones for security monitoring. TO UNIDEN: Simple solution. Make the pre Jan 9, 2018 APP available on the search APP menu again to your complaining users until you get the Jan 9, 2018 fixed or revised! If it's just for charging you will not be able to view it remotely. Change your setting to Internet browse. Not sure why the base setting was only being use for charging. I never recalled changing the setting but that's what happen to be the reason why all this time it didn't work for 6 months. All cameras work. All features now work such as the camera button and record button. Videos now playback at the correct speed every time. Cameras connect every time.
