### 2/5 — What about fixing this Dual-WAN mess?

*2026-08-25, version 10.37.1*

The Dual-WAN feature is marketed in a few of the Cloud Gateway devices. And I bought a couple of different units for a couple of differing situations. The Dual-WAN is troublesome to say the least and it’s a PITA to literally everyone. Look at Reddit and Facebook pages stating… only use failover when load balancing is touted as a feature. Some state..: doesn’t work. And getting either of these scenarios to work is not easy at all and frankly hardly works when you think you got it. UBNT has made other features easier to use, easier to enable or implement, but this one lags behind dramatically in actually working by the 10th or 20th try and why do so many Net-Admins say… just use failover. Seems like some work/six sigma could be focused here. The age of dual WANs is here and I’d hoped that the marketed feature would be a bit more baked before it was rolled out.

### 2/5 — Initial review

*2026-08-17, version 10.37.0*

Relatively easy to set up. Added some hardware. AP it saw and adopted no problem. Added two cameras. One it saw and adopted no problem. The second exact same camera it didn’t see or adopted. Had to reset the switch and it saw the second and adopted. All three devices worked great for two days. After two days the gateway disconnected and would not reconnect. AP continues to work. Cameras did not. Screen on the gateway said to contact Unify support. All it said on my phone is it couldn’t connect. Instead I unplugged and replugged. It started working again. This is used in a 2nd home so I hope Support can get it going if it goes down when no one is here. Would be a long trip to come back to unplug to reset and reset. We’ll see if this continues to happen.

### 3/5 — Works

*2026-08-10, version 10.36.2*

It’s fine. Crashes infrequently. Looks slick. Weirdly organised, and not intuitive - particularly after using the legacy (?) Web interface. Also lacks features that can only be found in the web interface. Either call it “Lite”, or sync them up, please. But it’s fine for the basics.

### 3/5 — Good products overall

*2026-08-08, version 10.36.2*

I’d like to see more support for the little guys like myself. I am a novice homeowner that tries to distance myself from SAAS products, I like owning my hardware but at times I need help with network issues. I feel at times I don’t receive the type of support that one should when spending money on a good product.

### 2/5 — UTR usage is painful

*2026-08-05, version 10.36.2*

This is very painful to use if all you have is the UTR. Too many taps and the authorize screen too erratic to get onto a portal.

### 4/5 — Super outil

*2026-07-29*

### 2/5 — Was ok but now broken

*2026-07-24, version 10.36.1*

The app works fine is all areas apart from the settings tab, this is completely broken and does not load anything

### 4/5 — Missing some basic controls

*2026-07-23, version 10.36.1*

Basic controls, including the ability to manipulate Wifi Guest versus normal access has been removed. Unfortunately, you now have to access the web interface. For this access.

### 2/5 — Trash

*2026-07-20, version 10.36.1*

Do not buy. Don’t make the mistake I did. They update frequently and is always buggy. Can never get to the console dashboard even with a direct ethernet connection. When it does connect you better work quick because in five minutes it’s going to go offline and it will take another thirty attempts, typing in name, pw, 2fa.

### 2/5 — App thinks it’s continually connecting

*2026-07-19, version 10.36.1*

I have a self hosted network controller. I can access it fine in a browser, but the app shows connecting -> “you are directly connected” -> connecting in an infinite loop.

Worse is that it is connected, i can navigate around and use most features.

Plus the feedback in the app doesn’t work (“sorry there was a problem”)

### 4/5 — Great overall, persistent small issues

*2026-07-17, version 10.36.1*

I really appreciate Ubiquiti’s positioning in the market, filling the gap where prosumer and SMB network offerings lacked from Cisco and others. The feature coverage of this app vs. the “main config plane” - the web console - is consistently solid (90%+ range).

However, far more than implementing more parity, I would love to see persistent UI bugs resolved; none are deal breakers but all add up to a less than flawless experience. Chief among them is the dashboard refresh cadence - every single time for the last four years that i’ve wanted to see the latest -24HR view of bandwidth/latency charts, I have to force close the app to force reload a fresh grab of that data. I exclusively access from local LAN, so there’s no reason I can think of to not stream this data and update graphs live - out at the very least add a “pull down to refresh“ capability. Filtering to the previous hour would be another longstanding missing feature.

One recent regression: launching from a widget in iOS leads to a connection error that is always resolved with force closing + reopening from the app icon itself.

Again, these are admittedly minor but they do add up to a non-trivial amount of accrued annoyance. I’m sure like all Unifi products, the rabid user base has reported these thousands of times prior and it’s simply a matter of prioritization for devs, but please take a week sprint to knock these front-and-center usability issues out - it’d mean a lot!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible Experience

*2026-08-19, version 10.37.0*

I am using both the Android and iOS. They behave differently. Getting my gear online had me banging my head for hours.

### 1/5 — Notifications are still not working

*2026-08-18, version 10.37.0*

Notifications are still not working when rules are set. technical support doesn’t provide very good assistance when troubleshooting certain issues, and takes about a week to get an answer to an already produced troubleshooting step. those details can be reviewed by QA to protect the privacy of the issue and not be used as an exploit.

Update: after factory resets and restoring, notifications are still not working. This is getting tiring, these products used to work. It’s upsetting to see such a great product because e waste so quickly.

I’d really enjoy seeing this actually work as intended. I’ll fix the reviews when that happens. Something tells me these devs or engineers are the ones retaliating or are responsible for this not working correctly after several patches.

### 1/5 — New update = fail

*2026-08-13, version 10.37.0*

Updated to latest for iOS and can no longer access my UDM. WTH….

### 1/5 — Total mess with auto

*2026-08-05, version 10.36.2*

Endless failures

### 1/5 — Does not load

*2026-08-03, version 10.36.2*

After updating, the pages do not load. I reported this, and still no response or fix. The usual pattern: UniFi has an update, it doesn’t work, and then they have to constantly make bug fixes; however, this time they have not fixed and has not responded to my request. I need to be able to change WiFi passwords remotely for our work server, which I was always able to do until the update. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Fake enterprise hardware with even faker support behind them

*2026-07-30, version 10.36.1*

As an installer I have finally had it with ubiquity. I have been with them almost since the beginning and with there growth and dropping support for some hardware soon after launching and it’s becoming clear they have a concept of a great platform but keep failing with its execution and it’s even worse with there 5g cellular backup devices. I’m going to start recommending new brands to my clients and as the existing deployments develop issues will start migrating them to other platforms. And leave UI to the home users because this company just doesn’t perform or provide support that is required in an enterprise environment

### 1/5 — NVR suddenly offline

*2026-07-28, version 10.36.1*

My NVR went offline overnight and now I am completely locked out of my NVR! No obvious way to reconnect. WTH?

### 1/5 — Multi WAN Speed test broken

*2026-07-25, version 10.36.1*

With this latest app update broke the ability to select what WAN port for Speedtest. The previous version allowed you to select what WAN port for Speed test, it will only do a speed test on the primary WAN, not secondary WAN port.

### 1/5 — Notifications are still not working

*2026-07-22, version 10.36.1*

Notifications are still not working when rules are set. technical support doesn’t provide very good assistance when troubleshooting certain issues, and takes about a week to get an answer to an already produced troubleshooting step. those details can be reviewed by QA to protect the privacy of the issue and not be used as an exploit.

Update: after factory resets and restoring, notifications are still not working. This is getting tiring, these products used to work.

### 1/5 — having issue connecting

*2026-07-16, version 10.36.1*

Dream machine is having issues connecting.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best visibility for entire IT infrastructure

*2026-08-23, version 10.37.0*

UniFi has truly changed how quickly we can access our equipment, determine if there is an issue and resolve it if there happens to be one. Very rare if there is.

### 5/5 — Amazing Tool!

*2026-08-17, version 10.37.0*

Great app, thanks to everyone involved in it.

### 5/5 — Look at that changelog! 😍

*2026-08-15, version 10.37.0*

Thank you Unifi dev/app team for the detailed changelog for an app update! I love you for this, and I absolutely love detailed changelogs, it’s like you really know what changed and why it was necessary, and also transparent in saying what changed - which is sooo much better than other devs who release mysterious app updates that only say cutesy cheeky things that mean less than nothing.

### 5/5 — The best Enterprise system out there

*2026-08-15, version 10.37.0*

I have three of these UniFi systems and i am quite happy with the quality

### 5/5 — WAN 2 benchmark ne fonctionne pas bien

*2026-08-11*

La mesure du débit de la liaison wan 2 ne fonctionne pas correctement. Lorsqu’on teste la vitesse de la liaison 2 il ne se passe rien et il teste la liaison 1.

### 5/5 — Get better And better -

*2026-08-04, version 10.36.2*

Not only the iOS app, but the Unifi Hardware , software, firmware , security and infrastructure connections are constantly improving.
I have been recommending, installing and supporting Unifi networking and security ( cameras/cloudkey) ( family/small business)systems for a few years now .
The updates keep improving the quality, security and performance.
:-)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-01, version 10.36.2*

You can control everything from the app that you can from the web interface. The UI is great also.

### 5/5 — Nothing Compares!

*2026-07-28, version 10.36.1*

Nothing compares to UniFi Networking! Easy setup, easy maintenance and stable systems!

### 5/5 — Great software for great hardware

*2026-07-26, version 10.36.1*

Everything just works. I wouldn’t choose any other brand.

### 5/5 — Perfect for managing network

*2026-07-19, version 10.36.1*

Great tool for managing UniFi network
