### 2/5 — Could be better

*2025-12-03, version 4.1.7*

I been using UP phone app for 2 years, the constant glitches makes it very frustrating , the phone app should have more features , it is just a simple app to make or change appointment’s status on the go,
I have needed the patient’s info sometimes but only very little available … is ok , not a 5 for sure

### 1/5 — This App= Glitch mania

*2025-04-29, version 4.1.7*

Been using this app for years. So very tired of all the many fixable glitches. But no one at UP seems to bother. It’s an issue. Consider other less-glitchy, more user-friendly options before committing to UP.

### 1/5 — Inconsistent

*2025-04-22, version 4.1.7*

This is the most annoying app I have to use and the company is too expensive to keep things at this level of irritation

### 1/5 — Too hard to switch to a different platform

*2025-03-25, version 4.1.5*

I picked UP for private practice because it’s what we used in school and I didn’t want to learn a new system. Big mistake!!! I knew the problems it had and now it’s gotten worse??? Not only does the system routinely not function as it should, there are frequent outages. The worst part is their customer service is so dismissive. A terrible platform and a terrible company. Stay away!!!

### 1/5 — Unreliable

*2025-03-09, version 4.1.5*

More often than not there are glitches and software problems. Not reliable. Support team takes quite some time to close tickets and get back to us. Overall, disappointing experience.

### 1/5 — Notification pops up constantly

*2024-06-13, version 4.1.4*

Recent update seems to have broke something, as every minute there is a new notification. And furthermore ALL previous notifications are being treated as unread and new.

### 1/5 — Updates erase settings

*2024-04-08, version 4.1.3*

Having patients unable to schedule appointments due to an update that completely wiped out clinic availability and scheduling. Cant do the fix for this on mobile or through the app and need desktop to do so. Absolutely terrible

### 1/5 — Price doubled, keeps increasing, vague promises and vague customer support

*2024-02-15*

The price of this software went from $560 to $907 during the pandemic and yet they cut features in the software. I asked for a software fix (that would restore functionality previously available) in May 2022 and was told they were “working on it” however its now February 2024 and this has yet to happen. I just received an email that the price is increasing again to $963 and that the fixes I was told would happen two years ago are not guaranteed. This product is seriously overpriced and they are totally arrogant and defensive about how “great” their product is. The email explanation for the price increase is that they have doubled their staff. With double the staff you would think that they could finally improve their product but I’ve seen few improvements and the requests from me as an actual user have been ignored.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-06-27*

When typing a current patients name in to make an appointment a prompt comes up and states “patient not found.” When searching for patients, typing in a first and last name spelled correctly… the patient does not show up. Extremely frustrating. App is updated. Have used UP for over 6 years and there are more and more issues as of late.

### 2/5 — Data won’t reflect across devices

*2023-05-26, version 4.1*

I have tried the app to help manage my practice. It’s not great but at least I can put up with to keep me straight. What really forced me to write a negative review is: Monday morning I booked an appointment from my office iPad, later I felt sick, I canceled the rest of the appointments of the day and went home. I got violently ill and finally tested positive for covid, so I picked up my phone canceled the appointments for the entire week according to what’s shown on the app. Since my phone didn’t reflect the appointment I booked on Monday, I didn’t call that patient not to come. Friday my patient was waiting outside of locked office and then sent me a text. I probably lost a dear patient that has followed me for long time. It seems like the calendar always requires a manual refresh to see the real time data on each device and I have 4 devices loaded with this app! And with high fever, splitting headache and coughing off my head, will I have the right mind to remember to force refreshing the calendar to see who I need to call to cancel the appointment?

### 1/5 — It’s just bad all around

*2022-10-19, version 4.0*

Why isn’t there a function to see all clinics? This new patient portal roll out has gone terrible, I’ve lost patients over them not being about to log in and create an existing patient visit and end up with 4 accounts for the same person with no way to merge the accounts.

If I want to block out my calendar for some but not all locations, I have to create and individual block for each location instead of just a simple check box to apply to certain locations. Stuck with it for so long because it was cheap but I would rather pay more for a product that works well.

### 1/5 — Obnoxious

*2022-09-23, version 3.3.3*

It’s been less than a month, I’ve barely used this thing because of various factors. For one, on the webpage, every time I go to a new menu it reminds me about this Townhall webinar. Every. Single. Time. I click on a new menu. It’s been this way for way too many days and I’ve submitted two complaints. It also brings me through the calendar tutorial every time I go to the calendar. You have to be kidding me. There’s also a lack of fluidity and ease about the whole thing. It’s not terrible but it should be much better at this point. I’m spending $60 a month for a calendar and SOAP notes. Get it working better, there are zero good excuses. You must have the resources available.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2022-08-16, version 3.3.3*

This app is terrible! You cannot accept or reject appointments. It doesn’t load correctly l. Quite frankly it’s useless and I am really thinking about switching over to Jane. Unified practice has made things more difficult that they have to be.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — So slow

*2026-07-24, version 4.1.17*

Always slow and errors everyday

### 1/5 — Poor performance

*2026-06-16, version 4.1.17*

Before I get to the biggest slap in the face and immature handling of our clinic patient files, every week for years there was an error on the phone app. The response was take a screen shot and we will “escalate” it. No reason to send the screen shot over and over of “server error” with and X. They know it and I know it. It was the same error when trying to book or save appointments. You don’t want to use this app if you want to book patients smoothly. Go read the other reviews for the glitchy details.

After years of suffering through glitches and backed up tickets that never got resolved as well as having intake forms done incorrect and having to pay extra for the incorrect forms… oh and don’t think about sending patients different assessment forms, you need to send them all at once and only one time.

When asking for patient data to include all financials, appointments, notes, superbills etc… I had to select between a standard and custom form that doesn’t differentiate between exactly what the clinic neeed. Over dozens of emails and phone calls asking for all data(wich belongs to the clinic) they dropped the ball and made the process unnecessarily long and overdue. I had to extend a month just to get the data. If you are an accupuncturist and want to build a respectable practice with solid systems for yourself, staff, and community DO NOT GET UNIFIED PRACTICE AS AN EHR. Go with Jane or Acubliss. I finally spoke with some one after I ver a two month process who listened and did apologize but the damage of time distraction and confusion had already overwhelmed me and my practice flow. I can only pray for myself and this company that we see clearer in the future.

### 1/5 — Such a horrible app

*2026-06-14, version 4.1.17*

This app for the program is very frustrating. It rarely allows access to new patient paperwork. It experiences outages most of the time and is slow the rest of the time.

### 1/5 — Such a horrible app

*2026-01-13, version 4.1.7*

This app for the program is such a pain. It n hardly ever lets you see new patient paperwork. It's down half the time and slow the other half

### 1/5 — Constant bugs

*2025-12-18, version 4.1.7*

This app is a headache. Can’t get in and book appointments for over a day now.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-09-20, version 4.1.7*

UP is the absolute worst. They are also transphobic and do not permit patients to use preferred names and force them to self select as “other” if they do not choose to identify as male or female. Constant errors, glitches, issues, problems, and missing features that constrain your workflow to feel like you are on a dial up modem from the 90s. Get out now - they’ll try and screw you by fabricating a contract and refusing you a pro-rated refund, but other more reputable companies offer much more modernized user-friendly and patient friendly interfaces, offering you 1000 times better at a comparable price point - they’ll even help financially support you while you deal with the hassle and frustration of being stuck with a truly awful system like UP that is more interested in raking in your money than the integrity of the product they provide.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-07-21*

Glitchy, difficult to navigate and poorly designed. If you run into any issues (and there are constant issues) good luck with customer support, they may never get back to you and there is no way to contact them by phone for technical issues. I would recommend using any other platform.

### 1/5 — Horrible functionality and support

*2025-07-19, version 4.1.7*

Would leave 0 stars if possible. This company has consistent service outages, and non responsiveness from customer support for long periods of time. any positive reviews are obviously fake and customers are leaving this business in droves. beware!

### 1/5 — It would be helpful if it worked.

*2025-07-08*

This is a terrible app. It’s extremely expensive. $1000 a year. I use it more than anything to run my business and it’s constantly and consistently slow, frozen, error, updating, etc. if I could change this service without losing patients, I would. They should fire the person in charge of this app. Please.

### 1/5 — Used to be great now Terrible

*2025-06-26, version 4.1.7*

I’ve used UP for 10 years - in the past 12 months there is not a day that goes by that the app works correctly the entire day. Either the phone app to schedule is malfunctioning or the iPad app to intake patients on malfunctioning.
Also, the patient portal could be better specifically, patients should be able to update credit card info without making an appointment. I renewed last month and I completely regret it! Moving to Jane app as soon as this contact is up.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Clinic Management App

*2026-01-27, version 4.1.7*

I have had UP for close to 10 years as my clinic management and EMR software. The app has been a great extension of the software and its functionality has been great in and out of the office. It’s so easy to schedule patients.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2025-04-23, version 4.1.7*

I really appreciate having this U.P. app as a help to my business. It saves so much time and money! Once I signed up, I had it set up correctly by a professional and with some help from the U.P. staff, so it’s all pretty much smooth sailing. Patients love being able to book on their own including new patients that connect to it from my website and sign up as clients on their own.

### 5/5 — Not bad

*2021-12-04, version 3.2.8*

UP working on there product. Getting bettet!

### 5/5 — Responsive IT Team, Usable App.

*2021-06-25, version 3.2.0*

I have been with Unified Practice since the beginning. With any EMR, there is always a learning curve. However, whenever I had a question no matter how simplistic it might would seem to someone else, the IT team at Unified Practice has always been there to help me along the way. For the most part, the application is self-explanatory. I’ve noticed that it works best with Apple products (I.e.- my massage therapists who have older Samsung phones had issues with the scheduling app. loading but newer phones or iPhones don’t seem to have issues). Unified Practice team truly values input from their customers. They also know when to offload questions or escalate issues in order to get problems solved. I’m truly happy with this company and their products, helping me run a successful integrative wellness center with multiple massage therapists, acupuncturist and other practitioners.

### 5/5 — Amazing EMR, the BEST customer service!

*2017-07-28, version 2.8*

I've used literally dozens of EMRs. As a chiropractor administering a lot of TCM as well as having several other services, supplements and products, I needed something that was capable and flexible. UP has everything I need, it's easy to use and anytime I need something, the customer service team goes above and beyond to help me with my needs. They are constantly working to improve and tweak the app anytime there are workable suggestions. If you're looking for an EMR to make your charting and bookkeeping easier, your search is over!

### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2025-07-08, version 4.1.7*

I’ve been using Unified Practice for 6 years now. Every AHR system has its faults and drawbacks, but Unified Practice is certainly one of the better ones.

I will say there are always little quirks that don’t seem to get fixed by the developer. There are also many ways that things could be streamlined within the charting. The scheduling app is super clean and easy.

### 4/5 — Better on iPhone

*2022-05-09, version 3.3.0*

This app works a lot better in my iPhone than it did on my old Android. I often have to refresh the screen to make it show changes. It’s also annoying to be unable to delete time offs that are in a series from the app. Plus, I wish there were a way for me to see if new patients have at least filled out their paperwork. I’d also love to be be able to look up patients by their phone numbers. But despite these issues overall it’s robust enough for me to schedule patients when I’m on the go and that’s good enough.

### 3/5 — Super glitchy

*2025-05-22*

Every day there’s a glitch and that is super frustrating. The concept is good, but execution is slightly better than amateur. Missing some essential features but also has some great features. Support tends to be kind and responsive but I wish I didn’t have to contact them so frequently.

### 3/5 — 9 hrs down now

*2025-02-22, version 4.1.5*

Unknown Error for both web and mobile app for 9 hours now - for both management and patient portal - no word or email on service or issue. Looking for it, hoping for fix soon.

### 2/5 — glitchy AF

*2025-12-15, version 4.1.7*

Every day there’s a glitch and that is super frustrating. The concept is good, but execution is slightly better than amateur. Missing some essential features but also has some great features. Support tends to be kind and responsive but I wish I didn’t have to contact them so frequently.
