It’s overly complicated to operate as in the past it was simple. Next upgrade please make it easier for us people that need to look up things, that’s why we need Mila’s Tools Unit Converter. **Developer response:** Thank you for the honest feedback. I read every email personally: https://bit.ly/WriteScottDeSapio One quick thing in the meantime: in the upcoming version, 2.8.0, I added a "Home View" feature that lets you set any category (Length, Temperature, etc.) to open automatically when you launch the app, so you can skip the category list entirely. You can set it from Settings → Home View, or from the … menu inside any category ("Open on Startup"). It might help with exactly the kind of quick lookups you're describing. Either way, please write me. I'd rather fix what's wrong than leave you frustrated. - Scott ### 3/5 — One problem *2026-04-17* Used to be able to convert blood glucose between U.S. units and Canadian but that feature is gone **Developer response:** Sorry for the frustration. The mg/dL ↔ mmol/L conversion is still fully supported and present in the app. To get it back right now... 1. Open the app's home view (the list of categories). 2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right. 3. Tap on "Visible Units." 4. Scroll down to the Blood Sugar units and turn on whichever you're missing. For many years, it was one of my “most used” apps and a favorite. I gave high marks. Then, it stopped scrolling for some reason and nothing would fix it, even completely removing and installing. The newer versions, however, have corrected whatever the problem was and have so many different conversions it’s the greatest app out there for any type of mathematical conversion. **Developer response:** Thank so much, Mike! The reason the list is longer, causing more scrolling, is because there are now more categories. However, you can hide any category you don’t use simply by swiping left on the category and tapping the hide button (you can always unhide by going to Settings -> Visible Categories and Units). 2. The icon view can be toggled on or off by simply tapping on the list icon in the upper left hand corner of the home view. 3. Finally, there’s a “Classic View” option being released shortly that emulates the legacy app view style for those who miss it. Keep your eyes peeled! Thanks for being a long time user. Comfort view is not larger as I would like. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible upgrade. *2026-05-25* I rarely use Mila’s tools, so I only need the basic free part of the app. I just installed the latest update for Miller’s tools and now I cannot use it at. It keeps trying to sell me anywhere from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription. Every time I try to do a Conversion it flips me or to a page to join Miller’s tools pro. I cannot use my free version. This is a very deceptive sales trick. Now my free app is completely useless because every time I go to look something up it goes to the subscription screen. I am very disappointed in what they’ve done to this app. Used to be ab5 star app, not any more. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, VBonanza. Of the 29 categories in Mila's Tools, 23 are completely free and always will be — including Length, Weight, Volume, Temperature, Speed, Pressure, and many more. Six categories (Cooking, Data Transfer Speed, Frequency, Ring Size, Shoe Size, and Slope) require a PRO license and have since they were first introduced. That said, your feedback tells me the distinction between free and PRO categories wasn't clear enough. I'll be shipping an update that adds to the existing lock icon a visible "PRO" label to those categories and a clear notification when you open one, so there's no confusion about what's included for free. Recent addition of intrusive ads including some that appear to link to porn of fake security sites make it worthless now ### 1/5 — Pushing you to buy their Pro version *2025-11-07, version 1.14.3* This app is now showing the figures in black so that it’s difficult to see the conversion numbers. Then comes the push to get you to buy their upgrade to the Pro version. It’s a disgusting practice.
