This is a good app, except it has been abandoned. No updates have been made and the currency converter is no longer usable since it cannot be updated.

It is thorough, with even obscure units to convert, so that’s good. But, there’s so much there that it just takes too long to find the units that you need, and the actual interface is very non-intuitive. Opening a Chrome window and letting google do the conversion is much faster/easier. But hey, it was only $1 added to the scientific calculator, which I actually like a lot.

Funktion super, Bedienung umständlich und langsam mit dem herumgedreht. Das hätte man etwas weniger chic, dafür funktionaler machen können.

This conversion calculator has every conversion you can conceive, only a few of which you are likely to ever need. As delivered, the program shows them ALL(!), which can be overwhelming to those who take only a superficial look. 

However, if you bother to learn the options, it is easy to ‘turn off’ the obscure categories so they do not clutter the main menu. 
- For example; I need ‘density’ conversions, but will never use ‘radiation’ conversions.
Also, within each category, you can to ‘turn off’ the little-used units within each conversion category. 
- For example; In ‘density’, I regularly convert gm/cm3 to lbs/ft3, but never convert them to grains/km3 (!)

BOTTOM LINE;
An EXCELLENT tool. It’s hard to imagine how it could be made better without ‘dumbing it down’ at the cost of lost capability.

To those who say ‘too complicated’, I say: “No conversion tool can be BOTH comprehensive and simple ‘out of the box’.” The authors have given us both, PROVIDED you will take a little time to customize it for your own purposes.

The is a good conversion app once you learn how to operate it. It would help if the graphic labels included text that explained what each key is. It would also help if there was a set of prompts on each page such as: step 1 select category then push arrow, step 2 select from measuring unit- enter amount and to measuring unit-enter amount.

Is there a setting somewhere for turning off the super irritating chirpy sound??? Every single click of a number makes a sound! What kind of sadist designer thinks that’s a GOOD idea? It would be a great app except for this huge annoyance.

This app is inscrutable, cryptic, & unintuitive. Just get “Units Plus” instead & convert your units & move on with your life. With this you'll spend more time figuring out how to navigate its horribly designed interface rather than getting anything done with it. Function matters more than form.

Update features was on by default.  The user should be the only one that gets to decide whether updates should be on or off.  Leaving an app update feature on without users consent is an extremely shady tactic and any developer engaging in this type of tactic is more than likely engaging in secretive personal data theft, unethical activities or even worse criminal activities.   Will be submitting a complaint to apple about this apps behaviour in enabling data transmission without a users consent.   I would not doubt for a second this is intentionally setup this way to secretively steal a users personal data before the initial opening of the app after being installed.  Hopefully apple will investigate the app to see if it has hidden abilities that facilitates unauthorized data activites.

I also noticed that the app when initially installed doesn't immediatelly appear in the cellular app data area but does so at a later time with the "Cellular data" feature set to "on" without the users consent.    

Will delete and reinstall the app and make a video showing this entire process and the apps behaviour.  The video will be posted on youtube and facebook.

It may well be a good app, but definitely not intuitive and frustrating to use, I can get faster results in the internet. Cannot up data, says not connected to a server, well, everything else can connect?? Generally not impressed!

I have suffered owning this app for about six months. I use it probably 2x a week for currencies and maybe monthly for unit conversions. It is a user unfriendly ridiculous design and I don't know what the designers were thinking creating such a cumbersome uninuitive thing. Last night my mother in law asked me to translate 55kg into.lbs and I spent more time tying to figure out how to use the app than it would have taken me to just google it and use my calculator. Don't buy this, you will suffer.

Although the app is excellent in the aid to convert stuff to great accuracy but since the recent update the app is stuck at waiting and I can't open the app as well. It needs an update ASAP!!!

I recent discovered this app. I have tried many many different unit converters, and this one is the “coolest” by far. 

The only issue is that it hasn’t been updated in like 8 years. Still works mostly, but will not update currency or database. 

To the Dev, I see you are updating your calculator app, so please devote a small bit of time to just bring this app up to date. It would be a shame for a converter as unique as this one to just fade away!

This is a very comprehensive unit converter which I’ve not found to be wrong. It has some highly unusual units but seems to cater to the US market. Why no English miles?
And, it lacks a number base converter which would complement the calculator extremely well. Instead I tend to reach for Excel to convert numbers of differing base.
Worthy of 5 stars but could be improved!

I have been a full user of Converter Infinity since it inception. As an Engineer, I find it very useful, especially in combination with PCalc. Setting up favorites is easy and very useful. I would recommend this app to anyone.

I have been using this app for a number of years now. I don’t really think it is hard to understand. It displays what measurements are under each icon if you look above the selection wheel. I have found this app incredibly useful, especially that it has so much information at your finger tips. I am an engineer by trade and this app has saved me several times. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to do conversions of several different things.
