## What is United States of America Map?

Ages 2 & Up. This app has been developed to include activities for children from preschool & kindergarten ages up to elementary school, to learn about the United States of America! Learn facts about each state, use the famous Montessori Geography Puzzle Maps, color in the states like a coloring book, and do "research" via the Mobile Montessori Worksheets!

Preschool children who cannot read yet can still learn to identify all fifty states by use of the integrated audio and graphics. Older children can practice doing research using the Worksheets activity. This app was first developed in 2010 and we haven't stopped adding to it! A special thanks to all the schools that continue to use our app in your classrooms!

Montessori Geography Activities:

- Learn to identify the shape, name and location of each state

- Learn historical facts about each state

- Assemble the United States puzzle map in the following ways:
     - Find the state that matches the blinking shape on the map
     - Find the state that matches the name at the top
     - Assemble the puzzle map in any order you choose

- Color in the US Map like a coloring book and save your work to your photos

- Perform research by searching the app for answers to the questions on the worksheets

This is the worst app I have spent money on. You can’t see our country as a whole, stupid! Can I please have my money back? Do not buy this app it offers no value!

**Developer response:** The screenshots show exactly how the USA map is rendered - and this is an exact replica of the standard Montessori Puzzle Map for the United States. Sorry it wasn't what you expected...

I want my money back. I mainly got it for the US Map. All it teaches is to put the states on the map by shape. It doesn’t even teach my son the names of the states. What’s the point of it if it’s not going to teach him the names??? Extremely disappointed is an understatement. This app is useless. I just wasted my money.

**Developer response:** This review is simply not true. The first section of the app, the Learning Center, teaches the name of each state in both written and spoken forms, as well as historical facts about each state. Then you progress to the puzzle in which you assemble by looking for the state that matches the shape of the blinking state on the map. As the pieces are placed, you hear the name aloud to reinforce the name. Then you progress to the puzzle by name, where you search for the state that matches the name shown on the screen, in which you can touch the name to hear it aloud. So, throughout the entire app, the concept of associating the name of the state with its shape and placement is reinforced over and over again.

Impossible. The small states like RI and CT and many others are just so small you can't even drag them, much less find their place on the map. If you could zoom in, but you can't . Don't waste your money.

This app is fun and engaging.
This app is a United States Puzzle.
This app has several options of how to build the puzzle; by name, by shape or like a regular puzzle. It has options to either tap or drag the pieces into place.
There is an informative part that tells the name and location of each state.
This part also shares information about each state.
This app is great for both Montessorians and non-Montessorians. 
The only drawback is that Delaware and Rhode Island can be difficult to move.
