### 4/5 — USA map puzzle

*2020-10-01, version 2.6*

Great way to learn states and capitals, young person voice And ridiculous pronunciation is why I didn’t give 5 stars. Literally have to turn volume off as often the voice option to silence is not available. Ditch the voice, doesn’t even teach proper pronunciation of state names or capital names.

### 4/5 — Simple & fun

*2017-12-29, version 2.6*

Nice time killing mind teaser, race with friends, who knows the world the best. Learn while playing

### 5/5 — THIS GAME IS FANTASTIC!!!!

*2013-05-03, version 2.4*

My 8 year old LOVES this game and keeps challenging himself to complete the puzzle with no names on the states, only their shapes, with less time each try. He also loves to do the state test. Embarrassingly, this game is great for me also because I was always very bad at US Geography and I just completed the test with only 4 incorrectly identified states.

### 5/5 — Perfect Preschool Puzzle

*2013-04-05, version 2.4*

Great App, My Pre-K Lil Genius who recently turned 5, learned her states, their abbreviations, locations and shapes over the course of about 2 weeks while having fun for about 1/2 hr per night. Its boosted her confidence and has given her an edge over a great deal of grade school children and some adults. C'mon who actually knows where Wyoming is? THIS APP ROCKS! lol

### 5/5 — really good

*2013-01-15, version 2.4*

Bought this for my 4th grader to study for geography tests. While he doesn't like it as much as Stack the States, this is a little better at placing states in their proper locations. Plus you can "race" for a best time. Did the trick for us.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-01-09, version 2.4*

Bought this for my 10 yo and 8 yo. They love the challenge. I used to build my wooden map 40 years ago, they can carry theirs anywhere on their iPads.

### 5/5 — Sooo Perfect

*2012-12-21, version 2.4*

Excellent and fun tool for teaching (or learning) states' position within the United States of America, and their capitols. I can't think of any improvement that would make this any better than it already is!

### 5/5 — United States Puzzle Map

*2012-10-16, version 2.4*

This is the best App out the for learning the names and location of the states. Learning should always be this fun and addicting! I can't believe how FAST I learned from this App.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-10-08, version 2.4*

Really well done app. My 8-year old went from doing this as a puzzle, to very quickly learning the names and locations of the states at the easy level. I like that it has different levels and the quizzes as well.

### 5/5 — Wonder map

*2012-09-30, version 2.3*

I like this app very much. It has helped my English language learners in the middle school to learn and have fun with the states and capitals of the 50 states. I highly recommend it.

### 4/5 — Good basic practice for learning states and capitals

*2012-09-06, version 2.2*

The only thing I would want to change from the current version is to not have to hit a button every time I get an answer right before I move on to the next question. Thank you for a simple, but effective game.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2021-11-27, version 2.6*

Yes I love playing this game to practice but what it is is that the pronouncing of the states is SUPER bad. Sorry I had to give 1 star but please can you just update?

### 1/5 — Bad pronunciation

*2020-05-23, version 2.6*

We used to like this app so much but then they updated the game with a kid’s voice. The kid is saying the states wrong. For example Louisiana is produced as Luisana, Nevada is pronounced as nowada, Arkansas is produced as akuses, North Carolina is produced as north carrnina, Illinois is produced as eelnooay and some other states are being said wrong too. If you keep this voice I will delete this app.

### 1/5 — Can't pronounce words

*2017-10-02, version 2.6*

Loved the idea of learning the states but who would make an app an teach incorrectly how to pronounce the states. Very disappointed and wish we had not purchased!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Horrible voice

*2016-11-12, version 2.6*

I wish I had read the reviews. The voice saying the states is horrible. Glad. I only wasted $.99.

### 1/5 — Horrible!

*2016-06-08, version 2.6*

The original app was awesome! This update (or app theft?) is absolutely unusable for American kids. The kid who pronounces the states on this version has a very thick Asian accent. You would never let a kid who's trying to learn the state names listen to it. Should be yanked from the App Store.

### 1/5 — Don't support this app!

*2016-05-23, version 2.6*

The recent update of the voice used in the app was because the previous voice was stolen from the Montessori United States app by Rantek Inc. Buy the real thing from Rantek, not these guys who stoop so low as to steal audio from another app!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2016-05-22, version 2.6*

Before the update, this app was great. After the update, there's a Asian-kid accent that pronounces the states all wrong and that would confuse my kid and could screw up with what he knows. My kid is in kindergarten... He's not a strong reader but loves maps... So pronunciation is very important for a young learner like him. Would not recommend this app until voice/pronunciation is fixed.

### 1/5 — Awful layout

*2012-07-13, version 2.2*

The map is way too small! They waste 80 percent of the space spreading out the individual states all over the place. How about a scrolling column on one side? The map itself should be at least twice as large as it is. If Rhode Island and Delaware are the last 2 states you try to do, you can't even see where they might go because the map is so small. And it does NOT say the name of the state when you touch it. Several people commented it did which is why I bought it. And yes, I checked the sound and mute and controls...plays background music if you want but does not say the name of the state. Wasted 2 bucks...

### 2/5 — Map

*2018-10-19, version 2.6*

I love the map, however it click off before I finish the map. What is the problem. Would love to give it a 5 star but I can’t due to this problem.

### 2/5 — We used to love this app :(

*2016-05-13, version 2.6*

We used this app all the time to teach our kids US geography. Our 4 year old learned all the states with this app but with the recent update the voice that states the name of each state is a little kid that can't pronounce the name correctly. For instance Texas is pronounced "Texasis". Sure kids pronouncing names wrong is cute but don't use it when trying to teach kids how to say the names of states. Please go back to the voice that could speak clearly. Until then we won't be using your app :(

### 5/5 — Educational app

*2015-06-13, version 2.5*

This is a fun app for kids to learn the location of the states, as well as for adults to review what we learned as kids. Compete against yourself to see how fast you can place the states in their correct location, or take the test to match the state capitals to right state. Fun app.

### 5/5 — Truly the best

*2014-12-10, version 2.5*

It is one of the best, as it said by many before me, no doubt ! Investment for family, from children to adult. It worth way more than charge. Thank you from bottom of my heart. I would prefer to look more apps by same company. Simple reason you are truly the best.

### 5/5 — Jlhm

*2014-03-21, version 2.4*

I have been bad at geography my whole life. I'm 64 years old and my six year old great-nephew knew all the states and where they belonged when he was four years old. Once I master this, I'm going to challenge him to a contest :-)

### 5/5 — Fun game!

*2014-02-01, version 2.4*

This is fun to play with my kids, 10 and 8. We compete to see who finishes with the lowest time. It is great because as we play they get better and better at remembering where the states are. They are still trying to beat my score.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2014-01-11, version 2.4*

I had to learn my states, capitals, postal abbreviations, and where they are located over the weekend. And thanks to this app I learned them ALL in an hour or so. Thanks so much and keep on doing what you're doing.

For children & adults of all ages!!! A win, win!!!! Don't allow your child to start school this year without a basic understanding of the states... & with this app & its options, your child can excell!!!!!

### 5/5 — USA map

*2013-06-03, version 2.4*

This is the best map app I've seen so far. My 4 & 6 year old grand kids love this app and complete it so quickly that I am amazed. It's great for adults too. Just wish there had been something like this when I was learning the states and capitals!
