Since I first wrote this review yesterday it has sent 4 more. ### 1/5 — Annoying notifications *2026-05-04, version 5.3.0* Up to this point, this app has been fantastic. It works well. And the service has been great. However. Recently I have been receiving “notifications” which are nothing more than adverts, and have literally nothing to do with any booking I have. It’s a taxi app. I book taxis with it. DO NOT infest my phone with pointless advertisements! Naturally of course there is no way to turn off the adverts. So I’m stuck with turning off notifications all together, making the app less useful. Nice one United Taxis. Slow clap. No way to revert to only getting notified about my journeys (ie, your driver is on the way). When I brought this to customer service's attention, the response was rude and unsatisfactory, never acknowledging the mistake they made. The only reason for using this app was to know how much I would pay upon reaching the destination; after this situation, it no longer makes sense to use it, and I recommend the same to everyone.
