Unity is a unit converter that is like no other - because it's built with simplicity in mind. Unity is also powerful - with over 500 conversion types to choose from already, and more arriving with every update.

Unity can reliably convert units in 18 categories including Angles, Area, Capacitance, Clothing, Currency/Crypto, Data, Data Rates, Distance, Energy, Mileage, Power, Pressure, Speed, Temperature, Time, Typography, Volume and Weight.

You can also save your regular conversions as favourites by tapping the icon on the conversion view and then see them right on the home screen for easy access. Well, there's more important things to do with your day than search for pennyweights and millifarads.

Currency rates are updated from our reliable servers. Rates are downloaded on startup and can be refreshed at any time from the conversion view. Up to date currency graphs show how rates have changed over the past day, week, month, or year.

Using your location, Unity also creates a suggested conversions to your home currency right from the home screen. Or build your own conversions for countries you're visiting on your next trip!

You can set the number of decimal points you would like conversions to be calculated too, work in negative numbers and use the built in calculator for more complex conversions for the highest precision.

I like the overall idea and  look of this app but it always crashes

This is such a frustrating app.  What it’s supposed to do is so simple, yet it crashes constantly.  Doesn’t remember its window position, buries conversion options several clicks deep, and frequently becomes completely unresponsive.  For clearing values, it only recognizes its own C button or the C key on the keyboard, not the Clear key on a numeric keypad.  I hate using it, and will revert to using UnitsPlus on my iPhone instead.

You can only put together 3 units to convert at the same time. 
This is not a problem for temperature for example, where you normally go from f to c and vice-versa. 
But for some others like weight and length that you have lot of metric and imperial options it becomes very limited. 
I need an app the helps me get more productive not the opposite.

Clear, live conversions, favorites, and smooth screen/keyboard integration.  All I would request to add is a menubar item -- ideally to use it, but if simply to launch it would be nice.

Could I have favourits at the top of the list. I don't care about the rest of it for quick access. Customise the side-bar.

Also the clear button on my satechi keyboard does not clear the values. Nore does the Enter key do anything!!!! Extremly anoying!

I can select the units to convert from and to only at the beginning before adding the amount. Once this is set, it's not possible to add other units, despite the "Add Units" button suggesting otherwise. Seems a bit counterintuitive.

Nice looking app and easy to use. My only issue is I can’t easily convert from weight to ‘Stone and Pounds’. I need to do this regularly and having to convert the pounds from a decimal number each time is frustrating.

Overall would recommend.

- Unity is now available for both Intel & Apple Silicon on macOS Big Sur!
- We've added a new History view for better managing your previous conversions. Unity now shows your most recent 3 conversions from the Home Screen. We think this feels a lot tidier!
- Unity now accepts input from hardware keyboards.
- We've tidied up various styling through the app, including a splash of extra colour!
- We've also tidied up some styling of our beautiful widgets.
- We've tidied up the split view on iPad's to try and make things more user friendly!
- Improved resizing of content for smaller iOS Devices
- Fixed a bug that fixes Post-Brexit issues with receiving EU currency rates for drawing currency graphs.
- Fixed a bug that caused the layout of medium sized widgets to not display as a grid properly.
- Fixed a bug that caused the layout of the conversion unit keyboard to be incorrect on small/large devices
