Die freien Dialoge mit dem KI Assistenten sind wirklich sehr hilfreich beim erlernen der Sprache. Was mich aber sehr geärgert hat, sind die Lückentexte, die teilweise wirkliche Übersetzungsfehler beziehungsweise Grammatikfehler enthielten. Hat man diese dann nicht„korrekt falsch“ ausgefüllt, gab es natürlich keine Punkte. The AI is good, however the voice recognition software is poor and I often have to retype. I find the Tutor’s explanations on grammar very useful. I briefly tried starting to learn Italian and Chinese from scratch just to see and it is impossible to learn from jumping straight into conversation when you don’t speak a word of the language. Man bekommt einen Lehrjplan mit täglichen kleinen Lektionen zu allen möglichen Lebenssituationen, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig, super! Das einzige was fehlt sind automatische Wiederholungslektionen in regelmäßigen Abständen, um gelernte Vokabeln, Ausdrücke etc. zu wiederholen. Derzeit muss man sich dafür das Gelernte aus jeder Lektion noch selbst aufschreiben und eigenständig wiederholen. I like how there are tasks for you to complete (questions to ask) in the free mode and that there is a balance of matching and speaking tasks on the guided mode. There is a pretty solid variety of languages to choose from. I think that the AI knowledge is pretty smart and understandable. This app can be used by any person regardless of their learning, as they cater your lessons to your desired level and topics. I think it is also helpful for grammar as the AI can help you identify issues with your clarity and grammar. It seems like a vaguely-conceived prototype that has been released too early as a product, along with lots of fake 5 star reviews as part of the marketing. The conversations on this app are inane, the speech detection is not good enough (especially for French). As an example of the inane construction of the conversations, for German, the conversation partner asks how long I've been in Germany. I answer that I'm not in Germany. He then asks what brought me to Germany. I answer, again, that I'm not in Germany. He then changes the topic and asks about hobbies. This is like talking to the dumbest person imaginable. **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for your feedback. The app is there to help in addition to taking lessons or learning with a textbook, to be able to practice speaking even when you can't afford weekly lessons, can't travel to the country where the language is spoken or you're too shy to speak to a real person & afraid to make mistakes. We of course don't pay for fake reviews (it's a bit out of our budget :) We're currently working on making it an even better educational tool, where you can also practice grammar and speech recognition is something that's tricky to get right, because we don't want it to be too forgiving but not too restrictive either - it's a good point, though and one we'll keep improving! Last, as we're working with AI there can sometimes be hiccups, like the one you described, although those shouldn't happen very often (and generally don't). I use it to refine my Spanish. Why did I choose it over the others? It helps me identify and correct mistakes (better than a handful of past human tutors). I am made aware of mistakes as I communicate with the AI “character” and gives me the opportunity to correct these mistakes during the conversation. It also generates flash cards of my mistakes that can be used as traditional flash cards, fill-in -the-blank answers, or as verbal responses. Cheers! ☺ ### 5/5 — Go for practicing speaking Spanish without pressure *2025-07-02* I find this app really useful to enable me to practice speaking daily without too much pressure and with limited time as each task only takes about 5 minutes or so and I tend to spend about 10-15 minutes a day on it , which I prefer to my two full hours of lessons per week which are a bit more intense for speaking.
