I am only able to connect if I put my phone in airplane mode and then connect to the WiFi. Unbrauchbar! ### 1/5 — Poor connectivity *2025-11-27, version 2.92* The cameras are fine and work as advertised. The software is appalling. I have tried to connect the UTR to the APP numerous times. It either fails or gets locked in an eternal log on password insert loop. I have updated the firmware manually on the SD card and still it doesn’t work. The software writer needs to get it sorted out. The camera should connect to the App without glitches. The connection from the App should be reliable either through the MMI WIFI or direct to the UTR. This does not do either and the internet forums are full of people complaining about how rubbish the connectivity is. I'll give it to anyone interested for half price. ### 1/5 — Turn off Bluetooth on your phone *2025-09-24, version 2.91* I agree with the reviews here in that the system is really tricky to connect to. However, I’ve found I definitely need to turn off Bluetooth on my phone before attempting a direct connection to the dashcam’s wifi, otherwise the phone will, of course, jump onto wireless CarPlay. You can select within the app whether the UTR uses its own WiFi or the car’s hotspot (the latter only if you subscribe to the navigation and infotainment package for data access). I’ve installed a 64GB card for higher recording storage but I do find there are random gaps in the recording timeline, especially when parked up, which, so far, I’ve not been able solve ### 1/5 — Never works *2025-08-19, version 2.90* Had one over 12 months and never works or connects to the app. Complete waste of money ### 1/5 — Reset password *2025-08-16, version 2.90* Terrible App. Can not reset password. This is probably one of the worst apps I have used. Especially now that there are coding agents, one could fix all these issues people are reporting. I could have installed another dash cam from another company and got a better chance at connecting to the dash cam. The preset network in the app does not match the network that comes up on my phone so the password doesn’t work. There is no way I can change the network name in the app. When I try enter the network on my phone from the app, it doesn’t work either because the network doesn’t exist. ### 1/5 — iPhone fails to connect *2026-07-04, version 2.92* Apparently there is a know issue for the latest iPhones connecting to the UTR. So my Audi Garage tells me. Also, if there is a software update for the UTR it is not possible to do with the latest iPhones. It just does not work, no matter what you do this app refuses to cooperate and provide you with the features you have paid for when buying the accompanying Audi UTR hardware. My Audi has had to go back several times after the dulcet German dialect tones of “Please Check Rear Camera” constantly chime. Save yourself a fortune and don’t touch this hardware or App, go get yourself a decent Nextbase Dashcam installed, Halfords do a better job and their customer service is far superior than the after sales service by most of the UK Audi dealers. ### 1/5 — Ugh… *2026-03-11, version 2.92* Was working fine up until the last update. Sie leistet mir sehr gute Dienste. Hab sie auch schon mal gebraucht wegen einem Unfall. Nur wird sie mir etwas zu heiß im Betrieb. Datacard vom Handyvertrag in Router und fertig. Angemeldet und was soll ich sagen. Alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Der Fernzugriff ist auch ohne Probleme nutzbar. Weiß garnicht was andere für Probleme haben, funzt alles top. Danke ans Audi Team Stuttgart Das einzige was nicht so toll ist das man auf dem Smartphone das Querformat nicht nutzen kann. Auf dem IPad ebenfalls ziemlich klein. App füllt den Bildschirm nicht aus. Eventuell sollte man dies nochmal überarbeiten ### 5/5 — Bei mir funktioniert das Teil tadellos *2024-09-04* Ich weiß nicht was andere machen aber meine Kamera und die Verbindung dahin funktioniert einfach. Es kann wirklich mal vorkommen das Verbindung nicht klappt, besonders vor der Wohnungstür wenn man noch mit dem Wlan von der Wohnung/Haus verbunden ist. Dann einfach auf OHNE WLAN drücken, verbinden, fertig. Although the instructions for set up aren’t as clear as they should be, If they are followed (with the exception of putting iPhone in Aircraft mode, this will Not Work! Just make sure your phone is fully charged before starting the process), setup and firmware update goes without a problem. The features in the app work as appropriate, and has a number of features that most third party traffic cams lack.
